Customer Reviews New Balance 840v3

I FINALLY found a great shoe! Thank you Zappos for letting me order and return so many. This shoe is awesome; I ordered another pair. The toe box feels especially spacious and the shoes are extremely comfortable.

1/2 size too small. Did not care for the feel. Very boxy and clunky.

The shoe is too boxy looking. The padding around the heel was way too thick. The materials were not the quality of other NB shoes I've purchased. The fit was just too tight and uncomfortable.

I really liked this shoe, but my heel slipped when walking. Had to return.

Wasn't sure about spending this much for a walking shoe but I'm very pleased with this shoe. I've worn less expensive NB shoes for walking and work. Like that they are leather and give support. I get no support from any mesh shoes that are popular

They are working out well. Very stiff since new, hard on toes.

I have wide feet with bonions, these shoes allow me to exercise and walk to my hearts content. Excellent quality and comfort.

This shoe was not like my old 840v3 in that the toe box wasn't as roomy and the back heel height was lower. I didn't like the lower heel height since I have to build up my right shoe with inserts. I have to return this and am disapointed with the new style.

The website doesn't mention this; however, they are definitely made for pronators. I tend to supinate, so I don't know if I can put enough padding at the outer heel inside to compensate. I need to use them right away for walking when we go out of town in a week. Previous versions worked well except some had tongues too short. This one actually has a good length tongue.

For all the extra wide shoe wearers out there, these are the real deal. Comfortable and not hideous. Holding up well. Would buy again and again.

These are my second pair of this New Balance model. I've tried other New Balance black walking shoes, but these are currently the most comfortable for me. Lots of toe box space. Unfortunately, it appears that New Balance has discontinued this model, so I bought this pair to have on hand when my other ones wear out.

Very comfortable! Loved the New Balance 845s which have been replaced with the 847 series. The 840 rivals the comfort of the 845. I am so pleased!!

They did fit a bit snug in the toes and it was uncomfortable. The style I like, and the wide size, but the toe box was small. The arch support is excellent and the style is nice. A winter shoe is what I need from New Balance and not the mesh, of which I usually buy. Too bad that I’ll need to return them.

It is a bit too tight in the toes. I order wide size shoes but the shoe box was a bit too small. I liked the style and needed a winter shoe that were not mesh like my other New Balance, of which I like. Felt good in the arches and comfortable elsewhere.

Someone else else has already worn these shoes. I prefer to have a brand-new pair.

I loved this shoe. Unfortunately it was a little small, so I have sent them back and ordered a half size bigger. I had to get a different color.
