Strange fit. It was very tight in the shoulders bust area and loose around hips. Had to send back

I love the way the coat looks great dressed down or dressed up. I wish it was a little bit warmer.

I typically don't like winter coats as they can be bulky, and I get hot quickly. This was great for my on the go lifestyle. It's light soft and very warm and actually a pretty thin coat (which is what I was looking for) but it does the job well.

Love the style and fit. Inner lining is super soft. Warm enough for rainy, cold fall and spring time. Just wish the logo was embroidered like my other NF jackets and sweaters. They went with the cheaper route with the logo, which cheapened the look of the coat.

I'm in the middle of my second trip where I've needed this coat daily due to unexpectedly frigid weather, so here's my experience. This coat is pretty warm. The fleece lining really does help keep in the warmth. I like the longer length. It's reasonably flattering and I don't feel like Iook like the Michelin Man. I'm actually wearing it in Berlin right now, so I totally fit in with its style and color (black). Two things that I would change: the zipper is very finicky, especially when unzipping up from the bottom to give yourself room to take longer strides. You have to use both hands and really fiddle with it to get it to move. It's also sticky/finicky when unzipping to take it off. The ribbon attached to the bottom zipper has already come off and disappeared I keep worrying the zipper is going to just fail one day. My second complaint about this coat is the pockets. They are not quite deep enough. If I have my phone (a Galaxy S9+, so not huge) in one of the pockets, I have to zip the pocket. It's not deep enough for my phone to be secure inside it. Even better would have been just one interior zip pocket. I feel like North Face should have the jacket and coat designing thing down by now, especially as much as they charge for their outerwear. This is an expensive coat with TJ Maxx-coat features. Where I live the winters are short and not often bitterly cold, so I won't normally need to wear this coat every day, but wearing it every day has emphasized its annoying flaws.

I love the look of this jacket. The arms are longer than any other jacket I've purchased, so I'm going to have to get it tailored. I bought an xs (I'm 5'1" 105lbs). The jacket is good for weather in the high 30s to mid 50s, otherwise it's either too cold or too warm if you're outside for any duration of time longer than just walking from your car into work. You won't be warm enough taking an hour long walk in 20 degree weather. It does block the wind, much better than puffer coats. The hood is perfect and the inside of the coat is soft and cozy. Overall I'm happy with the jacket, just have to make sure to wear it in the right weather!

I use this for my everyday coat. I think it is very comfortable and great quality. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because I feel it isn't as warm as I would like, although it is a great windbreaker.

Very nice jacket, I think the pockets are a little high (in awkward spot). Also zipper is quite tricky as most comments say. I usually am a large but sized up (xl) due to comments, the arms are the only area which seems to run small, the chest and stomach are normal xl sized.

I'm glad that I went with a small than my usual size of xs. As some of the other reviews said, it does run small so best to size up especially if you plan to wear anything thicker than a light top underneath. I do like the clean simple design of the jacket. And it's comfortable.

I needed a coat that would keep me warm on the coldest days of Wisconsin winters and so far, so good. Even in single-digit temps and below zero wind chills, this coat keeps me warm and snug. I love the soft inside, too. The arms are a little snug when you put it in over a bulky sweater, but it's manageable.

Great jacket. Super warm and so comfortable. The zipper is a bit of a pain as it takes a few tries to line it up and get it going.

Looks fantastic, but functionality is lacking. Fur makes it hard to get on or off with longs sleeve shirts (hello, winter?). Double zipper only had fabric tab on one and is hard to zip, Mayne an error In? In ND it was not warm enough on a -12 day. My old puffer Northface can take -50 ice fishing. Would get as a dressy winter coat to wear to funerals/church. Not to work or a night bball game up north!

Ordered the XL Shelbe Raschel in black. Torso fit perfectly; sleeves too long and too tight. I needed a black coat, and loved the style, so I kept it. Ordered 2XLs in mauve and olive green to accommodate thicker sweaters underneath. Torso was too large; sleeves waaay too long and STILL too tight! Returned the mauve but kept the green. What can I say? I love the style!

I love the soft shell, the length, and feels nice but doesn't keep me warm enough for the cold winter in the midwest. You would have to layer with a sweater underneath. It's a good jacket for in between fall and winter. I wish there is more color options.

Great coat for length and warmth and style. Unfortunately, I had to go two sizes up to get it to fit my arms and hips, at which point it lost its shape entirely. It is cut for skinny people with toothpick arms. If you have any fat or muscle at all, you will struggle to find the right size with this coat.

Love the coat it's warm and comfortable. Only reason 4 stars is the package came damaged with a hole in it which made a snag on my coat.

I really like the fit of this coat with one big exception....and that is the placement of the pockets. They are way too high so it isn't comfortable to walk along with your hands in the pockets. I kept the coat because other than that it was exactly what I wanted. I hope I don't regret it.

Very attractive rain jacket but I would have given it 5 stars if the liner zipped out as it wont work for warmer rainy days. Also while I love the dip in the back tail, it should have a split to make it easier to sit. I kept it because in New Hampshire, we have cold wet rainy days that it will be perfect for. I just wish I could use it during the summer when rainy days are warmer.

I was looking for a lightweight warm jacket. It is heavier than I expected. It is fully lined with fleece, inc in the sleeves so not great for layering, but great if you are looking to wear under a t-shirt or thin long sleeve shirt. The bottom flaired a little so not my style.

Purchased the short Shelbe first. Really love the feel of it and wanted a more dressy one for work. Ordered same size but sizing was not consistant. Decided to return. North face uses usps for returns. Even taking that into consideration I think waiting for 3 weeks to see a refund is too long. I returned a similar conpanys product and that company emailed me that my return was on the way.. had a tracking and let me know much sooner that my funds were being returned. Wish I could have said the same for North Face as a company.

I tried this style a few years ago, this new version Did not have a structured enough outer layer and when it was on had too much movement making it look sloppy so I returned it for a bellview stretch that I love.
