I purchased my first Metropolis Parka in 2012 and I wore it all the time. I loved it! I recently decided it was time to get a new one and I was a bit disappointed. No longer are there buttons to snap along with the zipper and the hood comes off so easily it's annoying. Please go back to the old style.

The hat of the jacket comes off easily. It is very uncomfortable, it always comes off.

It was just ok. I've noticed a decrease in quality over the past few years.

Nothing wrong with this product but I missed the old metropolis style that has both the zipper and button closure options. I also did not like the tight waist. I wanted something more loose fitting. I returned and exchanged for a different style

I love the way this coat fits, and it is very warm and comfortable. But I have only worn it a handful of times and the hood falls off constantly! Will be returning. So sad.

A bit too small. Hood falls off the snaps.

I love the color but I don't like how easy the hat detaches and how hard it is to zip up

I love it except it's extremely frustrating how easily the hood comes off! You barely touch it and it unsnaps. My last hood on your long coat similar to this one had metal snaps. These are tiny and don't hold the hood on. I want it on, but I have to continually snap it back on. It's very frustrating!!! I'm hoping something can be done. Other than that, it's a wonderful coat.

Ended up returning. The cinched waist makes the coat look like a ball gown (in my opinion) and was not flattering at all. The plus side was that it was warm and high quality material.

I've been wanting this coat for months. I finally purchased it and the hood keep coming off. It's so frustrating especially when I need it. Besides the hood it is a very warm coat and I liked the coat but the hood makes me dislike it.

This is an incredibly warm coat. However I have a problem with hood popping off whenever I remove my cross shoulder purse. I asked the store associate and he looked at me like ."what do you want me to do". I am very disappointed that the DNA's are not very strong.

This jacket fits well and is flattering. Unfortunately, the snaps that hold the hood on are too small and do not stay fastened so that the hood is constantly coming off; not what you expect at this price point. Because of this, I can only give it three stars.

The coat is nice, very warm. I like to wear my purse crossbody and every time I put the purse on or take it off the hood rips off easily with it. Frustrating. I also have problems with the zipper.

I have the older version of this coat and have loved it and when I needed a new one I didn't think twice about what I would get. I really liked the snaps on the front of the older coat so I didn't have to zip it all the time and this one doesn't have any. The hood also has cheap, plastic snaps and constantly comes off when I'm hanging it up or taking it off the hook. It never stays on! I still like it and it is very warm but just not as sturdily made as the old version my daughter now wears.

Replaced 3 year old size M metropolis jacket with broken zipper with a new size M metropolis jacket. Comfortable. Warm. Like the fleece on the zipper storm flap. The new jacket is tighter through chest and waist which may impede layering in colder weather. Plastic snaps on hood are inadequate on new jacket. Walked dog this morning with hood on, a 20kph gust blew the hood off the jacket, had to chase after hood to retrieve it. Am thinking about sewing hood on.

This coat is super warm (bought for the NYC winters), but the feathers come loose super easily. I purchased it in early November, and by early February the white down feathers are coming loose, and it looks bad (especially on black). Not worth the price for the quality.

This is my second time purchasing this style because I, unfortunately, spilled paint on my last one. When it arrived, I was disappointed to see that North Face had downgraded the embroidered logo to some sort of vinyl but my real issue is that they had also downgraded the snaps from metal to a super cheap plastic that did not withstand even the slightest pull before detaching. I literally could not hang my coat from the hood or pick my coat up from the hood without the snaps detaching. I see that I am not alone in that complaint although North Face told me they had no reported issues with the snaps when I called to complain. Coat is going back but I can't even find a suitable replacement since they are out of my size and color option for everything similar. Such a disappointment because I think North Face coats are the warmest but if they are going to be skimping on quality materials, I may spring for a Montcler or Canada Goose.

I've worn some version of this jacket for probably close to a decade and was really disappointed in this newer addition. The hood now snaps off, which in theory is nice, but it comes unsnapped really easily, and I feel like I'd lose it in a week or two. The structure of the jacket has also changed, so it cinches in at the waist (nice in theory) and then completely poufs out after that. It basically looks like it has its own hips built in and adds a lot of extra bulk, something I'm already trying to avoid with a puffy coat. It made me look way bigger than I was, and like the jacket was tight in the top half even though it wasn't. I ended up returning it and getting something similar from Patagonia instead.

Love this coat, the discrete logo make this very sleek. Hate the hood. Disappointed the hood isn't very sturdy. I love the coat so much that I don't want to look for another one I am keeping the coat. I have to get the hood sewn onto the coat. I don't love that part of the design. I am sure TNF knew that.

I am ultimately disappointed with this coat. I wish I had ordered it in black, because it stains TERRIBLY. Even water leaves a large mark that is difficult to get out.

I love the fit and how warm it is. I absolutely HATE how easily the hood detaches. You are constantly reattaching the snaps. For the price you would expect better quality in the overall product.

I ordered this coat with intentions on wearing it in between wearing my heavy winter coats. Immediately after opening my package, I noticed it had a few flaws. Thread was sticking out from the stitching on the front of the coat along the waist. Not a big deal. But then i noticed there were a few feathers sticking out. I plucked them out not thinking much of it. But now after a few wearsI'm noticing feathers EVERYWHERE and I've only worn this coat a handful of times. Other than that it's lightweight and warm.

The Hood on this Jacket doesn't stay on. I kept the coat because it's really lightweight but warm. They really need to give whoever bought this coat a coupon because the Hood is poorly made.
