I live in Vermont and wanted a jacket that had an outer waterproof shell but was also warm, which it is 100%. I love the fact that it's essentially 2 jackets in one. As everyone knows though, North Face runs small and my usual size medium is really snugI can only wear a thin shirt underneath; not any sort of sweater or layers. I'm not going to exchange it, but I would definitely recommend sizing up if you want a little room to breathe or to wear layers underneath. It won't be bulky if you do size up because of the cut of the jacket, which is nice. The sizing is why I rated it 4/5, other than that, it's a great jacket. I love the hood as well! And the bottom of the coat as an adjustable elastic band so you can really seal out the cold if you prefer.

Haven't used it yet, sadly. Finally tried it on 1wk+ after delivery & didn't want to take it off. I am very picky about my clothes, and have never spent this much for an article of clothing. It took me WEEKS 2 allow myself to buy this but so glad I did. This jacket is perfect (minus the damage) and I cannot wait to wear it every day of my life. With both jackets on the small fits perfectly with room to wear a sweater or long sleeve shirt. If I was smaller in the chest I most definitely would have bought an XS. Ya'll - GET this jacket!

Bought this for my daughter at school in upper VT I was concerned it may not be heavy or warm enough but she is very very happy with it!

This is a perfect product for all sorts of weather, especially the winter and also the wet and windy. The color options are limited, with the pink (what I've bought) and the white ones being the best. It does not shape your body if you're looking for something that aligns your shape, but it's a great fit (true to size).

really warm during autumn

I bought this in attempt to find something that wasn't so bulky to help through the winters in Massachusetts. I read several reviews from people In Michigan saying they've bought this and figured it would measure up! So far I've worn this during a windy 43 degree day and still felt a slight chill in my upper back area. Other than that the arms and torso are kept very warm. I usually swear a small and the small fit me great with room to put a hoodie underneath as well.

I needed a new coat for winter here in Michigan. It's just now fall so I'll have to update my review when winter hits but I'm expecting nothing but great things. I do love how it's multi-layered!

Great fit ; love the versatility of having 2 jackets in one. Wish there were more color choices.

I did not keep it. The inside lining by itself was too small. It was tight to zipper and sleeves were too short. So it deleted the purpose of a 3 in 1. When I tried a different size then I felt the outside lining was too big.

Overall, this jacket is okay...the inner lining is pretty tight. This jacket wouldn't be good for single digit temperatures.

This jacket is well made but NOT warm. I bought and wore this for skiing (22-25 degree weather). My arms were not insulated at all. The second time (same temps) I wore a wool sweater, still not warm. I am a very warm bodied person and I was very cold, not just a little. I wore this again with weather in 50s. I was not warm and felt a draft in my sleeves. I was comfortable while wearing this jacket in 50 degree weather. I'm wondering when I would ever take out the inner jacket- in 65 degrees when I don't need a supposed winter jacket? Another comment is I prefer to zip down the pockets to close-these you must zip up to close.

Returned , the coat soft and comfortable, just the collar is too high and not comfortable.

Excited that I received my jacket, I'm ready to try it out, though I did see some sewing defects-hoping it doesn't unravel while in use, otherwise; I will return it. It did arrive later than expected which caused me an inconvenience.

A versatile jacket in proven Northface quality. I wish it had more pockets!

I like the looks of this jacket. However, I normally wear a Medium, but had to return the medium and order a large, because it was a little too tight. Also, it is not very warm for Northern Nevada winters.

I LOVE the grey color of this jacket. However, the medium was too small in the chest and the large was way too big so I had to return. (I have several NF jackets and medium has always fit). I ended up going with the thermoball eco snow triclimate jacket instead even though it unfortunately didn't come in the vandis grey.

for casual use

The shape is not flattering but I like the detachable inner jacket but I wasn't feeling the color. Since I bought it online for Black Friday and had shipped to the store I was able to exchange it to another color. Their customer service was amazing and I really enjoyed my total experience.

Not worth the money stains easily and tight fit for plus sizing

This item runs small. I loved the colors of this jacket, unfortunately it's was too snug. All my North Face items a a size Medium this jacket did not fit. Unfortunately, the size Large is sold out.

Not the size of a plus size 3X. This is the size of an 1X. Sent in return and NEVER GOT MONEY back.

Unfortunately, this coat isn't warm enough for below 50 degree weather. My old triclimate coat was significantly warmer and had much better features. Disappointed in this product and wouldn't recommend. Size up if you purchase.

The coat was way to big

I planned on this jacket replacing my previous triclimate jacket, which I had for over 10 years. However this will not keep you warm in weather colder than 40 degrees
