I love the look of this shoe, but if felt tight on my feet for it to be marked as wide, I returned them

I have many NB shoes, but this one is by far my fav! I did go up a half size per other reviews and I'm so glad I listened! I usually wear a 10 and grabbed a 10.5, fits just right. I've worn these on trails and walking around shopping, so incredibly comfy both trail and concrete! My feet didn't feel too hot due to the gortex- just nice and dry during the rain. They really feel like I'm walking on memory foam! Grab a pair, and the pink and lime green color are awesome!

Material is a little stiff when compared to other NB, but once you get your foot in, quite comfortable. Love the Vibram sole. Solid secure steps.

I gave this Hierro v6 GTX a try since I badly needed a shoe that could withstand dirt, gravel, and rocky mountain trails. They are very comfy out of the box, nice toe room, and my feet are grateful. I'm on this terrain often and my older walking sneakers were not holding up or cutting it. They feel lightweight enough for me and I appreciate the fact that the goretex is there for when it may be wet. Its my second pair of new balance and I think it is a great brand.

This is my 2nd review (the 1st was on a day when it was not raining. It was raining today, and I wore them to walk to work. I am wearing a 10 Wide, and they are VERY comfortable! Since they are made of Gore Tex and it is a rubbery and flexible material, maybe that is why - because they bend with the foot. They kept my foot completely dry while walking in the rain. They were excellent for walking on the uneven brick sidewalks at some spots, so I can see why hikers like them for uneven terrain, and why they are classified as trail sneakers. I love the colors too!

I love this shoe! It's light it spongy but not so much that you don't have stability because you have lots of stability. I like I can go splashing through a puddle and not get my feet wet thanks to GoreTex. My feet don't get hot in these shoes as you have airflow and they are breathable. I did put a different footbed in as I have heel issues and they fit in perfect. I do recommend these shoes for off trail or on trail. Snug fit but not tight.

I have worn the New Balance Fresh Foam Hierro v6 GTX on at least a dozen hikes and trail jogs at this point. The trails have included some uneven rocks, inclines/declines, and mud. Out of the box, the shoe was comfortable for me right away, with no break-in period. I ordered the same size that I have other New Balance shoes in, which is a WIDE size, and it is a good fit for me. Living in the Pacific Northwest, the waterproof aspect was important to me and I'm happy that so far, my feet have stayed completely dry. Some reviews elsewhere have mentioned this shoe is on the heavier side and while that is OK for me given how much cushioning it has, super technical runners who are concerned with speed may care more about those extra few ounces. My only lament so far is that the shoelaces, while sturdy and nice to the touch, don't stay tied for me unless I double-knot them. I like the way these shoes look and overall I am happy with my choice.

Super comfortable and very light - great for the long Camino hike I have ahead. Good arch support, roomy toe box and nice looking material.

I ordered them online and they were just delivered, and I tried them on and have been wearing them around my office and they are perfect! It is not raining today but they look like they will keep my feet dry. Also, they are VERY comfortable! I advise all who have wide feet like me, try having your feet measured while standing up (I read that the foot flattens out so a lot of people are wearing too-small shoes), and you might need to go up a size anyway. I had been buying 9 Wide and went up to a 10 Wide recently (for all my sneakers) and they have LOTS of room for my toes, and they fit fine, with the thumb's width at the top of the toes for length. I also like how they look - cute with cute colors! Anyway, I am very thrilled and happy with these wonderful waterproof sneakers!

Excellent shoe for running and walking. This is m y third pair, but I have purchased them for family member who are active and they love them. About two weeks ago I took my son who is about to enter the military into the store to get fitted for a pair and he loves them too. He loves how they support his arches and he say they feel like heaven. Thanks NB

I bought these as hiking shoes, come to find out they are trail running shoes. Regardless I've been wearing them around the neighborhood to break them in and they are the most comfortable shoes (with NB insoles specific to my feet) that I have perhaps ever worn. As a runner with chronic knee pain, these shoes are amazing.

Toe box is really tight ordered a half size up still tight and I wasn't going to return them a second time since I originally ordered a 9 first time since that's what I usually wear I did take out the inserts and felt alot better I don't know if they need to be broken in or not but as of now I'm pretty disappointed

It could have been a great shoe - great color and great fit, but the workmanship was upsetting for new balance brand - too much glue in some places and not enough in some. Zappos is great as always though.

I’m still on the fence to keep these. They look amazing and fit me well (rubs a bit on my ankle bone, but nothing terrible). They have moderate support, wore them a full day walking running errands, in/out there house and car… in the end my feet were tired and a bit sore specially my heels.

The shoes look fine, the extra rubber at the back of the shoe looks a little weird, like they forgot to cut that section off. Also the sides of the soles (along the side, bottom of the shoe) is already showing lots of wear and I've only worn these shoes 3 times. Once indoors at work and once just for city walking.

Runs a bit small. Very stiff. Still breaking them in. Don't know if they will work. Purchased in anticipation of hiking in Alaska.

NB is the brand that fits me best and works well with my orthotics. I was looking for a waterproof sneak and this would have worked, but I wanted something less clunky and more stylish so I returned them.
