Love the fit & comfort of these boots. Definitely prefer their tight, nimble feel to the clunk Sorel Caribou's I've had for years. That said, two pretty big complaints... 1) Because either the top hooks are too high OR the tongue is too short, the laces will often come over the top of the boot (i.e. once their tied, instead of the knot resting on the tongue, it slips over the top of the tongue and rests on your sock/pant. Not the end of the world but can be irritating on a long walk/hike. Seems easily addressed through more thoughtful design. 2) After 2 (brief) wears, one of the laces broke. I asked Bogs to replace and they explained that I would need to buy my own replacements, which struck me as especially disappointing given I'd owned them for 3 wks and worn them twice. Our family has collected many Bogs over the years and will likely buy more; however, I was very disappointed by the customer service response given the premium Brand.

Bought a Men's boot size 8(woman's size 10). And they fit great. Bogs are best shoe out there. Pro tip: buy two pairs so you can let the first pair air out for a day. Because they insulate so well, after a full day wearing them there is sweat trapped inside the boot. My work around is to own 4 pairs and I just rotate them/ no, I'm not paid by Bogs- I'm just a raving fan.

Super warm..I live where 20 below zero is common. I had to swap out sizes a few times...these seem to run small....very comfortable to walk in...I would buy them again

Super flexible, unlike other clunky winter boots. Very warm and totally waterproof. Could stand to have a wider opening to squeeze your foot in and the top lace is just a little high so it slips above the tongue if you're not careful.

Bogs, thank you for making a normal everyday boot that meets normal everyday winter life. Very well constructed, not too bulky and comfortable fit. They fit true to size. I've worn these on very cold snowy days, very warm and dry. Great wicking performance, preventing my feet from sweating. As far as the -40 degree rating, not too sure these boots would meet those conditions, but if gets that cold, I will not be going outside to test. Great traction on ice and snow. Haven't tested in mud yet but will be soon as spring approaches. The lug design seams that they will be great in mud and should be easy to clean. The only negative is the tongue design. As others have complained, the tongue is too short. The top lace will at times slip over the top of the tongue. I solved this problem when I lace up the boots, going from the 3rd eyelet to the top speed eyelet, then down to the 2nd speed eyelet and tying the laces there. This is something I've done with other boots as many manufactures seem to make the same mistake. Yes Bogs, you need to fix this and when you do, send me out a new pair and I will be happy to test and review those boots as well.

They run small. Tried them on and the rivets to the top hook broke off. I have seen this in other reviews and I should have listened. Returning for a different brand.

I purchased a pair of Bogs boots last year. While working in them a piece of the sole broke. I contacted Bogs customer service and within two weeks I had a new pair of boots. That level of customer service is hard to find these days. I will continue to buy my family's boots at Bogs. Thank you.

Could not happier with this boot. I originally bought a size 11. I found it to be too tight. Returned and swapped for a size 12. Took them on a test walk in the snowy, muddy woods. Absolutely loved the boot. The 12 fit like a glove, gave my toes some wiggle room, and kept my feet warm and dry. Completely comfortable. Completely functional. I certainly recommend getting a size larger, as the boot hugs the entire foot tighly.

I purchased 3 styles of Bogs sub zero temperature waterproof boots (including this one, for a trip inside the Arctic Circle to see the Northern lights. With proper layers of warm woolen and thermal socks, these Bogs boots kept our feet warm and dry for many hours each night. We were complimented several times by different guides for our choice in footwear.

Love the feel of these boots right out of the box. Not bulky at all, feels more like a lightweight hiking boot that actually keeps your feet dry. These are my go to work shoe until the snow gets too deep and I need something taller. Extremely happy with this purchase!

I'm glancing around looking for either a smaller boot for the garden in the summer or an open top boot for winter and I just happened to cross this shoe with a low reading and this was my go-to winter boot. I also got a Baffin pair for standing still, just hanging out, in freezing weather being comfortable, but this was my actually moving or doing anything kind of winter boot, for my first real winter (temperate location). I generally wear a Euro 44 and I prefer (need) a wide shoe. I either buy wides literally, or a model that runs unusually wide in the toe box in and of itself. I fit in a 10 in this shoe (I think it's a hair smaller than a true Euro 44 for those who only buy it for length) , bought in a local store. I can pull out the insoles to use orthotics. the insole really wasn't cushiony, they really could have done better there. it is true that I had to unlace the boots partly to put my foot in, which was a big hassle as someone who's never worn anything I couldn't slip off while laced up, lol, surrounded by people who all had slip-on boots (fast in and out of the door). I tried this boot in its elastic gore version (same height) ..that one rubbed my ankle bone a little & I am finicky, it was easy to put on but I would not have liked it. the lace-up was definitely more comfortable. I think now i have a medium arch I used to have a very high arch. the forefoot is wide, no blisters (without double sock for friction) but its stable around the ankle, I suppose if you have a very wide ankle then it'll be a problem, and I cannot attest if you have a very high arch with any certainty. compared to bogs' non lace-up boots, which are normally sized with a lot of extra space for your heel to be able to slide in in the narrowest part. I threw cleats on when there was flat ice but on other days did very well in the snow and I'd leave my distinctive boot prints. on slippery days I would bother to lace them properly. the top hooks are placed in a silly way it's easier to use them before using one hook down for instance because otherwise it's prone to going over the top of the tongue. I usually just skipped those. I'd rather they're not be hooks there that I don't use. as winter months wore on, I did start actually just lacing them up about as high as a sneaker and tying them there so that I could quickly slip in and out of them (at the speed of my friends, as we were often popping back and forth between each other's houses) which didn't look as nice but served my purposes and I'd only lace them all the way if I wanted ankle support cuz it was slippery out, or where I was going to be in deeper snow. early on I noticed if I tightened them all the way I could do a hair too tight where there would be a little lump of the tongue but loosening them very very slightly sufficed because bogs was going to replace my entire pair instead of just the one shoe when they were pretty much brand new which I thought was ridiculous. I thought it was a switch too much fabric but maybe it was just my lean ankle. it's still keeps a lot of snow out even when you accidentally step in snow that's too deep.

Great fit, Great shoe. I little difficult to get on because the mid-section is snug. But I learned to pull them up from the backstrap and it was no problem. First day I received the shoe it snowed so I put them to the test. The Bogs worked great. Very good sole grip, very warm and very comfortable. In fact, they were so comfortable that I wore them around town as I ran some errands. Highly recommmend these boots.

I really love the forest camo parts that fits the light black color of the boot. A great pair of boots to face cold weather in Montana with comfort, style and bonus: it's leather free (very nice point for vegan people)
