(sorry for the 3 star reviews but i only rated it low, so you can read this review and new product suggestions) Fantastic shoe!!! Plush midsole, supportive, nice heigh stack, soft laces, all equal very smooth transitions. I was an avid Brooks fan until i tried this bad-boy on, Altra's coming for Brooks lunch and excited what is coming down the pipeline. Suggestions: Can you please add a Goretex version for this version or the next update Please continue offering Supportive shoe variations, not everyone has greek god perfect neutral feet, some of us (minority base probably) still need good support shoe options

I love Altra shoes and have been wearing them for years now. However they removed the heal pull from this model and I can't imagine why.

Ive been wearing these for about half a year. They are good and have good room in the toebox but the cushion in my left heel has worn out more than the right shoe. Not sure if its the flat design?

When I first put these on they felt amazing. They are light and fit my for perfectly; it felt like I wasn't wearing them at all. But after about 2 weeks the toe box collapsed and no longer holds its shape when I walk. A month later they started squeaking with every step.

I was initially introduced to Altra shoes by my daughter when she worked at a Fleet Feet store. My first pair were Torin 4.5's and they were unlike any shoe I had worn before, perfect width and a nice padded inside. Ive yried Torin 5's, Lone Peak hikers and now the Paradigm..... not like my original Torins. my next pair will be the other Altra shoe I passed over for the Paradigm.... the Escalante. Its a lot of trial and error woth Alyra shoes especially when theure not available locally to try on in person.

The Paradigm has been my go to shoe for the last 4 years. I bought a pair of Paradigm 6 in February and the bottom rubber started coming unglued after 6 months of wear. I just bought another pair hoping that this won't happen again.

I like that it is a low arch, which is what I need. But this 9 1/2 is much smaller than the size 10. I need to order a size 10 instead. It wasn't as wide as the size 10 either I was surprised. I was looking for a snugger fit, but this was a huge difference between the two. The shoe laces are also very, very short.

Upper: it's fine. I get the complaints that it's hot and doesn't breath. I wear thin and thick socks and I haven't had issues but the upper is thick and isn't the most breathable. Torin, Escalante, and Rivera breath much better. Still, not terrible. The tongue is also far too thick. I can't also understand the complaints regarding heel slip, but if you use the marathon lace system that fixes the heel slippage. Shoe laces are a good length, Altra tends to make them too long. Innovarch is at worst painful and at best useless. When engaged it pinches and is abrasive. Even if it didn't cause these issues it's completely useless. It doesn't help support the arch whatsoever. A better fix would be teaming up with a company like Sole and use their wide zero drop insoles to support the arch. I complete disengage and removed the laces from the Innovarch system and added Sole insoles. The width is fine. I like most have noticed even the standard width as shrunk. I didn't feel much difference in width between the Paradigm and Rivera. It might be that the Rivs were more broken in but the Paradigms are a tad snug. Guiderails are great. This is the best part of the shoe by far. The only criticism I have, is the guiderails should continue through past your arches. The point of Altras is to land in your mid to forefoot. The guiderails only seem to help when you walk or land heavily on your midfoot. Sole: this is supposed to be Altras best foam. I think the Torin is more plush. Give me more plush!

Had previously purchased the torino 4.5 which I loved. Needed more cushion after an achilles injury running the torino 4.5 so I decided to try these padigram 6. The toe box does seem just slightly more narrow than the torrin 4.5s. I have a wide flat foot so the I loved altra for the width and very little arch. I never get hot spots or blisters but these caused the inside of my arch to blister up. They do have one cushion that absorb impact alot more than the torrins but these shoes are not for me.

I had the paradigm 5 and LOVED IT!! The new ego max foam is amazingly comfy but wish the 6 was wider in the toe box!

I bought these after chatting with Altra rep. Shoes are supposedly neutral, but compared with the Altra Olympus 4's and Altra Alpines the arches are angled such that they force my feet into supination (rotates them outward). The rep said to buy these shoes a half size large, which feels right. Other Altras run true to size for me. If not for the forced supination I'd like these shoes.

I sent them back. Paradigm 5 fit perfectly, Paradigm 6 has more narrow toe box--too narrow for me. Very disappointed.

The paradigm 4 was perfect shoe! Why mess with it. That's the shoe that made me an Altra wearer for life. The 4.5 is good, even the 5 is ok. But the 4 was the bomb!

I loved the shoe, overall, but I need a wider shoe and apparently the Paradigm doesn't come in a wide. Bummer.

I really like the Altra's, my first experience with them. Crazy comfortable, super cushioning and super fit. I just sent them back due to the tread tearing away from the cushioning on the shoe. Only 2.5 weeks of use and not any real abuse. I'm hoping it was just this pair. Will give them another shot.

Altra is baffling to me. The Foot Shape technology and Zero Drop combo are industry best and that combination keeps me coming back. However I'm often disappointed by the durability and/or the differing fits between styles. I currently am running in a pair of Torin 4's that fit amazing but the overly soft foam has packed down. I am needing more cushion for half marathon training. The Paradigm 6 has lots of cushion, but my midfoot is pressing over the boundary of the footbed. It must be a quarter inch narrower in the midfoot than the Torin and the solstice that I had a while back. This inconsistency is frustrating. If Altra could increase the durability (even 10%) and consistency of their shoes between styles and among the same style I think they'd be the best. As the Paradigm, I can't recommend.

I'm a long time customer of Altra brand and I'm mostly satisfied with the quality of the shoes. As you can see from the photo of me wearing my Altra's I had a total knee replacement therefor I do no do any kind of sports at all. I wear Altra brand only because they feel very comfortable and ease my pain when walking. I have reached out to Altra and requested to get a new pair of Paradigm 6, I assumed that the warranty will cover it since those shoes are made for runners and I can barely walk. Surprisingly I was wrong, according to Altra it is my fault for the wear damage, I guess the at my age I still haven't mastered the art of properly wearing running shoes ... So just an FYI, if you are a runner considering to purchase Paradigm shoes, do not be surprised if those shoe give up easily, after all it gave up for a disabled person that can barely walk

These shoes don't hold up ? The bottoms flake off , black part. Also the heal portion on both shoes wore out exposing the padding . They were comfortable but apparently don't last ?

I love the shape of the shoe although the guide rail gives me blisters on the inside of my feet. Middle of shoe seems to be be a bit narrow for wider feet.

Love the fit and look of these shoes. However, after only a few weeks of casual walking the bottom treads have smoothed over. I expect a shoe in this price category would last at least a few months before showing this kind of wear.

the second time I wore them, several of the treads on the bottom of the shoes started coming off... is there a replacement policy. My first pair of shoes have held up great, but this pair is not good at all.
