I bought these running shoes specifically for my Morton’s Neuroma in my left foot. They work well and I don’t feel any pain in my metatarsals. However, I did develop a blister above my left ankle. I believe this is due to the newness of the show. The good news: finally there is a shoe for those with neuromas!! The wide toe box certainly helps.

My foot doctor recommended this brand of shoes for me to give my toes more room to spread out. I normally have worn size 8, so I tried size 8 1/2 for quite a while, but my toes were hitting the end of the shoes and not being comfortable. So, this time I bought size 9, which feel more roomy for my toes, plus this model of shoe has more padding in the sole, which is good for my old feet!

The shoe has great support - no lower back or hip pains when wearing this shoe.

I have neuropathy and always needed custom made inserts till now. The shoes are one of the most comfortable I have ever worn. Let me know when you have a 50% sale again. Thanks in advance.

It is a very comfortable shoe until the tongue slips. I wish Altra would guess it the tongues on all their shoes. I would recommend this shoe to friends except for the tongue slips.

These were actually good- I bought a mens size 7 for my womens' size 7 foot. The actually fit and holding them up side by side with my Womens Paradigm 6's they were exactly the same length. The inside of the heel was wider looking but ok. I was looking for a bit more wide toe box width and these had it- I could splay my toes. Unfortunately, the closer was just awful in person and had to return. I would buy the mens 7 again, if the colors were better.

At first I got this shoe for a road/hard pack trail shoe and it turns out that it's great for both! I am a 12 regular, 6'2, 200lbs and this is a great amount of cushion. I have had a pair of the Lone Peak 6 for a couple years now and I absolutely love them for all things trail. Only reason I am not giving this a 5-star rating is because I seem to be getting hotspots on the balls of my foot. This may be part of the break in period. Altra meets my needs and beats out competitors for their Zero Drop technology. Cheers

This shoe works very well for me. Yes, they are heavier than others, but that's kind of the point of a more cushioned shoe. My one request would be for an improved outsole. After one month of running on suburban streets around 35 - 40 miles/week, it has considerable wear. Also, the tread depth is pretty shallow; I don't feel much grip on the pavement. If you took the outsole from the Provision 7 (which I tried, but returned because the fit was wrong) and put it on this shoe, it would be perfect - for my feet, anyway.

A real stability shoe. There are not many stability running shoes with a natural foot shape, this is one of those rare shoes. Feels great, plenty of stability. My only gripe is that after 100 miles there is a bit more tread wear than I was hoping for. Time will tell if they make it to 300 miles which in my book is the minimum a running shoe should wear out.

Love the shoe and the cushion. The only reason for the 4 stars is the shoe laces broke on me and I've only put 50 miles on them. Only downfall is the laces

I loved the paradigm 5 and was hoping for the same w these. It feels a little slippery in comparison whereas 5 was snug. Im just writing this so the comp brings 5 back.

treadmill walk and jog; training in gym Since I should be buying a size 13-1/2 but am forced to buy a size 14 in many shoes, the tongue feels like it slides down when walking/jogging.

The shoes are good, but not great. Comfortable out-of-the-box, but not surprisingly so, which is what I'm used to with Altra. They also need to Gusset the tongue, it's always falling off to the side, which is frustrating.

One of the very few shoes I've worn that actually fits under my super flat feet. Good stability/ support, probably too much cushioning, outsole durability isn't great. If there was a trail version with 5 or 6 mm less midsole and a lone peak style outsole it might be the perfect shoe

Best stability technology I ever tried , help me reduce pain of my Shin splints . Altra should release the Original fit of the Paradigm because it a stability shoe , the upper is made with premium materials and Very disappointed with the OUTSOLE quality , The rubber is already disappearing with only 17 Km . compared to the Ahar+ Or XT900 Altra should deliver a solid rubber as a lot of people having the same issues .

This is my first pair of Altra's, since I've worn Hokas for the last few years. I wear a 9 women's or 7 men's, but this 7 men's I ordered was too small. They're very comfortable with a wide toe box, and accommodate my bunion and flat feet well. I'll be sending them back for a bigger size.
I'd also recommend:

Bought these shoes less than 1.5 months ago and they are squeaky and the Altra logo is starting to peel off. That said, they are very comfy (the cushion is top notch) and are great walking shoes.

most comfortable road runners I've ever tried on-- the wide toe box and cushion are incredible. Nearing the 100-mile mark. Tread has slight wear, but the body, insole, and midsole remain durable.

My friend said these were uneven - one shoe's insole felt different at the arch area than the other. He doesn't have any foot issues, just needs a wider shoe. So, we're going to try another pair.
I'd also recommend:

Need to make it in both the wide and regular. Big men 6'5+ have big feet and also want stability control in a foot shaped toe box. skinny foot people seem to get everything. But love'm

Compared to the Torin 6 and Provision 6, the Paradigm has a little more forefoot space. The other two models tend to scrunch the top of your toes. It would be great if Altra offered wider versions of this shoe ( or any other) which would make it feel like the original Altras from earlier models. Brooks Ghost and Adrenaline GTS 22 have wider forefoot space but have to contend with the hard rubber and 8-10 mm drop.

I bought these shoes to help eliminate my heel strike and I fell in love. My wife wears her's to work daily as a nurse and also loves them. I got roughly 200 miles before I had to retire them. That is my only complaint at the price point I would have hoped to get at least another 100 miles. I will definitely be trying other styles from Altra.
