I love these shoes. I have worn Gel Kayanos for many years. When I saw the MK, I had no idea what they were, but after reading about them, I decided to try them out. I have pronation of both feet and have had major surgeries on one foot. These shoes really go the extra mile for my feet-the snug fit around the ankle is good for my stability and feels good after and during putting the miles in with them. Everything I like about the Kayano is in the MK plus extra support and stability for my pronation.

Note the MK model is a much narrower foot bed. Fantastic for narrow feet, especially since the Kayano does not come in a narrow width. The cushion is superior, with just a bit of stability. Meets the needs of a neutral runner/walker.

I love this shoe, so much cushion, since I walk about 3 miles a day. love the elastic tongue, but there is a tab on back of heel which rubbed and I ended up with blisters.

I love kayanos and they have been my go to running shoes for years. When they came out with this mesh I thought I'd give it a try. The cushion is great and it's a super comfortable running shoe with one problem. The mesh cuts into my heel - especially on my right foot. I'm hoping it will get better. I'm bandaging my right heel before runs and hoping I will "Break them in".

I ham currently wearing a kayano 28 I bought 6 month ago which I love.
I decided to invest and get this one. It did not fit as my previous one. The opening is different, it is like wearing a socks. This did not work for even though I had every intention to keep it. Returning it.

Good quality but I returned as too tight on top of foot!

The base of the shoe is comfortable and supportive but the back of the heel majorly cuts into my achilles to the point where it hurts to walk. The aesthetics of this shoe is really nice compared to most of other ASICs' shoes. So I hope that the back of the heel breaks in soon, or will need to wear high socks for now.

This pair is unlike a previous pair of Kayano MKs that were styled with a regular movable tongue. I wasn't expecting the slip-on style under the laces. Perhaps I misread the description. Since my "experienced feet" differ in size, I don't find the stretchy tongue comfortable on one foot.

The fit is ok but to hard on the ankle, it will cause blister because is to tight. They look good but uncomfortable on the ankle.

It’s too hard to get into with the knit liner. I brought them on vacation and they are my only pair. My toes went to sleep and I struggle to get them on.
I'd also recommend:
New Balance, I have other ASICS that are comfortable, but not these, and now I can’t send them back!

These are nice shoes except for the opening. The elastic opening eats the back of your ankle if you do not wear high enough socks. Also they run a little small.

I have been buying Gel Kayano shoes for many years. Thought I'd try this lighter model. I run a mix of street and beach / sand. On the sand these shoes are not supportive at all. The upper fabric stretches too much, making the foot slide to the side within the shoe. Perhaps ok just for street running, but I will go back to the regular Gel Kayanos.

My wife has worn Kayanos for 10 years and swears by them. Bought her a pair of the MKs. you fit your foot in it almost like a sock. Gave her a blister on her back heal after first two times she wore them. She's very disappointed and you can't return them after you wear them. The new model has a remolded heel support, surprise.

First pair of Asics and, unfortunately, these are the most uncomfortable running shoes I've tried. If I'm not on perfectly flat terrain, my foot slips side to side in shoe. Even while walking, my foot slips forward. Brought them on a trail because I thought maybe I could repurpose them as walking shoes...ended up with a bruise of the top of my foot because the laces are the only piece of the shoe keeping your foot in place. Would be nice if Asics had a trial period so I could have returned.

I bought these since they were a great price and 100% regret it. I read the reviews and decided to buy them. The stretchy fabric around the ankle rubs my foot raw through my socks. It's difficult to get my foot into the shoe because it's not easy to loosen the laces. I've broken several nails just trying to get the shoes on.

Since the tongue is completely attached to the shoe, it's too tight & also rubs a blister on the top of my foot.

Doesn't play well with orthotic inserts, too hard to get them in and out with the elastic collar.

Cannot get my foot in these! I have high arches, and high insteps. There is no tongue on these so I was not able to stretch them enough to get my foot in. Too much work - these are cute but going back!

These are not the normal Asic Gel Kayano. They are the slip in kind and if you have any problems with the top of your feet...these are not the right ones for you.

Shoe is very comfortable and there is no dispute about it. But with the new design without a wide opening, it is very difficult to insert the feet in to the shoes. If not for this shortcoming, the shoe feels like a soft cloud which is so comfortable.

The tongue of the shoe is connected to the body of the shoe which made it difficult to put on. I returned the shoes because I couldn't get my foot into the shoe.

Very disappointed in the design of these shoes. Worn once for cross training and skin was rubbed so much from the elastic band around the ankle that it created sores and I can no longer wear these. Not eligible for return since they were worn for 45 min. I've used Asics exclusively for 10+ years and never had this happen.
Everything else about the shoe is great- color, look, etc...beware of the elastic ankle.
