Great for high intensity activity in the cold

Great for cool weather workouts and fits over the ears.

This beanie fits well under my bike helmet and provides ample coverage for my ears. Not the best for super cold days, but great for shoulder-season riding and 24 hr mountain bike races, for the chilly night laps.

Introduced my son-in-law to Smartwool skullcaps/Beanies. He's recovered from a battle with cancer he wasn't supposed to survive, is bald, and is running again!!! These caps will be a perfect base layer, worn alone on cool days, or inside in summer air conditioning (he lives in a knit hat). He loves them. I'll be looking at the wool socks for him, next.

I wear my new hat a lot. I love that it hugs my head, more than making up for my lack of hair! Great item.

I run in this cap in moderately cool temps and LOVE it! I'm here to buy more! It stretches to fit, it's comfy, looks great, etc. I don't understand when people say it doesn't fit; wool stretches like 50%!

Thin and effective, I purchased this to wear under my bicycle helmet for winter riding. I've been as low as 35 degrees so far and my head is warm, but it still breathes. A+ product!

Honestly, I was expecting a thicker, more woolly beanie, but the reality is that this item is light, warm and I am getting to enjoying it more and more.

I run hot but this thing is so comfortable and breathable that I just leave it on. Usually a beanie will get me sweaty pretty quickly but not these. Wish it came in more colors.

This is a light, all-purpose hat ideal for active outdoor activities where you're likely to break a sweat. The thin material (it weighs practically nothing) is ideal for wearing under a helmet or hood. For some, it might be a wee light for being stationary in very cold weather (e.g., watching a football game outside) but as I run warm I'm not too concerned about it. Loved the gray so much, I purchased black four days later! #sweepstakes

I use this beanie for running in cold or rainy weather. Very comfortable and keeps my head warm, even when I'm sweating or getting rained on. Just the right fit, too. Not so tight it's uncomfortable (even with ear buds in), but secure enough for any kind of wind that comes your way. I bought three so I always have a clean one ready to go in the winter.

Versatile, light-weight hat for outdoor or indoor use, after wearing one for a few days I bought the other color too. I like to wear these indoors during the winter.

This is a great beanie to have stuffed in your pocket this time of year. At 0.84 ozs it's no bother to carry all the time, and right there when it turns chilly. Being bald as a coot, I wear the two I have around home, and outdoors for walking & running. It's ideal for layering beneath a helmet or balaclava when the mercury really drops. Even given it's lightness the Merino wool provides surprising warmth, a great product.

I use this product for chilly morning runs. I have a big head and although it would be nice if it was a bit bigger so it stayed over my ears, it fits comfortably and does not put pressure on my head.
