This is my third lid. I keep losing them and the only beanie that I love enough to know there can be no other. True story. But it seems that this latest is different than my other two. I have lost the others so I cannot compare the ratio of wool to poly, but it does not seem the same. Still my fav. But I liked the older version better.

Fits perfect. Covers the ears and feels very warm and comfortable.

Was a little snug for me and mussed up my hair, but my husband adores it and has taken it as his new favorite hat!

I wear it under my cycling helmet in cold weather. Thin enough to fit under the helmet, big enough to cover my ears if I want, and warm! But it doesn't turn my helmet into a sweat bowl when the weather warms at the end of a morning ride. Looks great.

Keeps a bald head cozy. Never leave home without it on cool/cold mornings.

Great hat for cold weather. It is stylish and comfortable. I bought several, in case they ever decide to discontinue it!

This lid is my go to. I have multiple in the closet but find myself always grabbing this one.

This fits somewhere between a skull cap and a beanie you would fold over, so you have to fold it just a little bit and the fold doesn't stay. BUT I use this under a hard hat in the winter and it is WONDERFUL against the wind and the cold to cover part of my ears. Haven't washed it yet but will definitely use it until it falls apart, if it ever does.

This is my favorite cold weather headwear! It breathes fantastically during high exertion activities, but keeps me warm when not moving so quickly. I purchased this hat as a replacement to the same that I lost, and it could not come quickly enough.

It is so soft and comfortable!

Simple/clean beanie

I use this under my larger bike helmet for winter. It's a little thicker which is nice but not too thick. I've got a large head and it's pretty snug but works!

I lost my original Smartwool Lid in mid November. Because I live in New Orleans, I figured I probably didn't need to replace it. We had a "cold" snap in December, so I broke down and ordered another one. I couldn't be happier. In mid January, we had a freak storm. We had 10" of snow in the Crescent City! And, my new Lid served me well. It's really warm, fits great, and looks good. I wore it throughout our "snowcation". If I lose it again, I'll replace it immediately!

Warm, good structure. Bought a second because I love my old one so much. This new one seems just slightly longer than my older one which is good, as it doesn't "pull up" as much.

I have every color of this hat, that should alone tell you how great and versatile this garment is. Good for hikes, runs, chilling, you name it. The colors are spot on and the warmth to weight ratio is just right. One of the best beanies in my arsenal of hats for winter and the mountains.
