The shoes look very well built. I have worn them around the house to try to break them in as they feel much stiffer and tighter that my Moab's which are the same size. I think I would buy them a half size larger or maybe look for another boot which is wide width rather than regular as these fit small on me. I have been wearing Merrel shoes for over 10 years and this is the 1st pair where I have felt disappointed by the fit.

First thing I noticed is they run small I purposely ordered a half size up so I can wear boot socks on those cold winter days I tried them on wearing regular tube socks and their isn't much wiggle room on the flip side the 200g of insulation should do job once it gets cold I'll update my review on the comfort level cause I have flat feet I brought this for casual wear while running errands keeping my fingers crossed I love Merrell products 98% of Merrell purchases have been a hit for me.
