This is a good shoe...a very good shoe. You would expect nothing less from Saucony. The problem with it is that in designing the women's version of the men's shoe they added a green stripe to the very black shoe. It doesn't work to make it attractive to wear. It's dreary. Everything else about it is great. My husband has the men's version and the traction is second to none. It runs a tad wide but that's relative to the individual trying them on. Length is true. They are just simply not attractive.

I liked the shoe although it has a rather wide toe box. This can be a plus if the heel fits snug enough and with this shoe it does, very nicely. My biggest complaint with the shoe is that it is not attractive. They built the same shoe for both men and women and couldn't see fit to make the woman's shoe a little more feminine. Otherwise, a very good shoe. The tread is very sticky and seems that it would be very stable in sloppy conditions.
I'd also recommend:
Topo is a similarly fitting shoe with a more attractive appearance.

The throat was too narrow to fit my orthotics, and even without the orthotics the foot area was narrow. Sent back. Appeared to be a well made shoe.

I have worn Saucony shoes for decades. NO MORE! They are using the cheapest materials. The uppers are so flimsy that you lose all support. The footbeds do not feel comfortable. Saucony, you do yourself no favors by going cheap.

I have always loved my Saucony's. I trail hike/run and wanted the added ice -anti slip grip. I was pretty disappointed in these shoes. These are not worth the extra price and don't really do the job. The foot bed is inferior to other cheaper Saucony's and the balls of my feet are sore after longer, nothing extreme, hikes. I slip CONSTANTLY on the trails in thesewhich means on regular, non ice, trails these do not suffice- at all. On snow/ice I don't feel any added security. I do not recommend this product.

I was excited to have a shoe for when the snow starts to melt and freezes over at night. I learned the hard way during my first run in these that their name is not accurate and they are NOT to be trusted in ice/snow. I was slipping and sliding around more than if I had worn my normal trail shoes. I almost fell multiple times. I really don't know under what conditions these were tested during production but it could not have been real ice/snow. The midsole is flat underneath which I suppose is meant to be "sticky," but I did NOT stick. If you like the original Peregrine's (as I do), just buy those. You'll have more traction than wasting your money on these - or wear trax (much safter)

They gave me blisters the first time I wore them. I've never had blisters from my running shoes before, and I've been wearing Sauconys for years.

I've had them for 3 weeks, worn 9 times for an hour each time, they already have a hole in the top of one shoe.
