Checkered Vans have been my go-to shoe for years, but the new pair I bought recently feel different. The previous pairs I has did not have the leather lining on the inside. The part in the heal of the shoe where the material changes from leather to canvas has chewed up my heal so bad that I can't even put the shoes on without feeling extreme pain. I've done everything to fix it, and my feet still hurt in theae shoes. I have had them for almost a year. It used to take me a week to break in a new all-canvas pair of checkered Vans, but these have simply become unwearable.

I've been buying vans for 20yrs & it seems like the quality is just not what it used to be. Had my classic checkerboard slip ons for nearly 2weeks & one ripped. I was running all over the playground in these for months & they would be just fine, now as a retail store manager, I can't even go a full 9hour shift w/o worrying they're going to tear on me. Kinda crazy.

Tried to replace my old pair I've had for over 5 years and couldn't even get my foot in the new shoes they were so narrow. Had to return.

Super uncomfortable and rubs the back of your ankle, and that's with socks. I had high hopes and was let down.

I bought these in April and they already have a small hole in the toe area (less than 6 months in). I do put thin insoles in cuz let's be real....Vans are not the most comfy shoe, but I went a half size up from my normal W7.5 and they still formed a hole. I've bought the Asher perforated leather style several times and even those get holes in toe box as well as the other classics I've purchased. I think people get caught up in the nostalgia and/or look of the shoe and give them high ratings bc honestly, the shoes are flat and not comfy. Maybe for youth/teens who don't yet have foot issues, but for us "older" folks, these aint cutting it. While they aren't the most expensive shoe out there, I do think the price is a lot for a canvas shoe that doesn't last.

Love the shoes, but they seem like worn, have used marks. Other than that comfy.

When I got the shoes, the color was a bit disappointing. The denim part in the sides were a little more washed out/lighter than the picture shows and I didn't get the wider range of colors in the actual stitching featured on the top of the shoe. But my biggest complaint is that the opening of the foot was WAY too small- I could not for the life of me fit my foot into the shoe and didn't want to force it. Unfortunately will need to return these.

Love the look of the shoes and they're very comfortable but they don't last. I have had the black leather slides for a little over 6 months. I don't wear them often and they started to crack/separate on the sides. Super bummed out.

I am very disappointed with these shoes. The color is nothing compared to what it says online. They are more of a neon peach color not pink. I feel like I wasted my money.

Cute and I like how you can just wipe them off HOWEVER I own 6 pairs of vans all in the same size and I bought these in the same size but they are sooo tight. I thought I just needed to break them in but after a week of wearing them they are still tight and I now have a huge open blister on my left ankle. They are also starting to crease which isn't that big of a deal to me. Very disappointed about the tightness though and the blister

I have many slip on vans all the same size. This style runs long but tight!

I thought these would be comfortable with the sherpa fur but I was wrong, also I ordered the same exact size that I wear in the comfy Kush slip-ons but these were way too big for some reason

Sizing is on point for classic van's slips but this sherpa lining is NOT on par with other vans shoes (the platforms) that use a sherpa style lining; it's thin, and flat.

I have 10 pairs of Vans, all are 9.5 in size. This shoe is way to tight.

Kangaroo Colorway looks great, but it is NOT Sherpa lined like the other colorways appear to be from their pictures on the website. The shoe only has "Sherpa trim" on the side/collar of the shoe. The upper, footbed, and interior sides are the standard canvas material. Slightly disappointing..

Great design! Poor quality. They didn't have any structure to the shoe. The canvas was very thin.

Love the color and style, but the sizing is off. I got my normal size, too! Sad about this! Two stars because of the funky sizing.

Love the shoes but way bigger than my other similar Vans.

I was so looking forward to these. Cherry is a misnomer, try fushia maybe. They are more pink than red. my monitor has never been that far off and I double checked on my phone.

Cute, but really bad on the heel of your foot. Wore to a college football game and bar. Super painful.

Ordered size 11.5 initially, and they were almost a full size too big, sent back and ordered an 11 and they're too tight.

I don't know what is going on with Vans lately, but I tried to order these in three different sizes. They are so narrow that I could not get my foot in either of the three sizes. I thought it was just me, and maybe my feet were swollen or some thing, so I had my son try them on. He also could not get his foot even into the shoe. Very disappointed

I about 31 other pairs and this pair is so tight across the top of my feet that they are in wearable. I will continue to buy and wear Vans but I won't be buying them online.

I have over 20 pairs of vans and know my size really well these shoes are not friendly to people with wide feet the show narrows and is uncomfortable.
