Really a 4.5. Great support and a great run. I would like just a little more cushion but not much. I had a two to three run break in period. I love them after that. I used to run in Hoka Mach 5's which I loved but I found that I needed just a little more stability which these do. I will definitely buy again.

I am not a runner. I like a shoe that is light, supportive, and has cushion. I wear them everywhere.

I wear an 11 (ww) in Brooks womens, but my size was sold out in this style. I thought I would try the men's 10 (w), which is the size I normally wear in men's. However, it was too narrow in the midsole. The color is nice. Hopefully, Brooks will remake this shoe and widen the midsole.
I'd also recommend:

I feel like the fit is tighter than the 20 and prior, especially in mid-foot/ball area. Skipped the 21, so no comparison there. The laces are ridiculously short. Otherwise, I still think they are a good go-to trainer

My go to shoes for running and general walking for a few years now, but all my pairs fail in the same spot and seem to be lasting for less time. The heel always wears down (doesn't help I slip on my shoes more than I should) and there is a hard plastic piece which when exposed is at the exact right height to dig up your heel and the shoes can't be worn anymore. Might switch to something else with a bit more longevity.

This is my 4th pair of the GTS adrenaline shoe. On my feet all day and also do a lot of walking and gym work. This shoe is great. Have greatly enjoyed the support and reliability of this shoe. Only thing is......on the last two pairs, the shoe strings are different and come untied all the time. Have actually taken the shoe strings out of my older pair (now used for lawn mowing) and put them in the new shoe. Double tieing works, but pain in the butt.

the shoes fit and sized correctly - I dislike the shoe laces - I prefer the laces in my old Adrenaline 22 pair

Had them for about a month. I'm not a runner. In fact I hate running so much, that a bear would not have to chase me. I use them as an everyday work shoe inside and outside on concrete. When at home they are my walking shoe on dirt/rock roads. Only complaint is the shoe laces need to be 3" longer minimum. The laces are so short they make a person wish for velcro again.

I am very happy with my new shoes. They look and feel good. The only problem is that the laces are too short. It's annoying to buy an expensive pair of shoes and still have to buy new laces to go with them.

4.9 the only thing I don't like about these is the new laces. They untie when you're running! Otherwise, still my favorite shoe ever

I did not buy it for running. I purchased it to help my feet recover from a chronic pain issue. Along with the orthotics prescribed by my doctor, I have seen slow but steady improvement. The only negative is it feels flimsy on the top. When it's cold outside on a mile walk, the tops of my feet are the coldest part of my body.

Same great comfort as previous models. Minus one star for changing the laces from the XX model. Those would stay tied without double knots. These don't and are so short you can't double knot them.

Nice looking shoe and fits well. However, minus one star as the bottom tread wears pretty fast. I hope they last.

Very comfortable but annoyingly squeaky. Both shoes. Every step. Every pair I've ever owned. The comfort outweighs the annoyance, but it'd be nice if they didn't squeak.

After a couple months of use, these are pretty good shoes. Though I must say I had the adrenaline 20 series and did think those were more comfortable than the 22 version. The look is great! The arch doesn't quite feel right in this version. Regardless, I'm sure I will run them far past you are supposed to. I'm a brooks fan so will continue to buy.

What I like most about the Adrenalines is the motion control. This is important to me as I overpronate quite a bit. The technology in this shoe is better than other motion control shoes I've worn. Also, the shoe is fairly light for a motion control shoe. What I don't like are the stretchy laces that never seem to stay tight. A solid lace would be better. The shoe also feels a bit flat; it doesn't roll or bounce back as well as other shoes I've worn. But the quality of the motion control will keep me coming back. As to size, I had to buy a full size up from my normal shoe size.

The arch started a little high, which created slight pressure on the medial aspect of my right mid foot, but once I wore them enough it seemed to help with arch support. Additionally, the increase in medial arch support appears to help reduce any excessive pronation during my stride. Some initial growing pains, but a very good shoe.

I have been running in Adrenaline for 15+ years and the shoes are consistently great for me. (5' 10", 175 pounds, 15-20 miles/week, 11:00 min/mi). I will keep buying these shoes every year until Brooks changes the design point. The newer laces really blow, though. Almost every run, they come untied and they just feel cheap. If you love Adrenaline shoes, buy yourself a new pair! And pull out your old laces for the new shoes before you donate your old ones.

Just bought a pair of Adrenaline 22's to replace my 21's. On my first run, as expected the shoe felt great. No complaints there. I would have given the shoe 5 stars if not for one issue. I'm not a big fan of the new shorter flat laces. Do us all a favor, Brooks, and go back to the longer round laces that were on the 21's.

took me about 3 weeks to really break into these sneakers, until then feet were achy. Ran several miles at ease with them though, very smooth ride with nice cushion response.

Like all my other Brooks shoes, the Adrenaline GTS 22 fits great and provides wonderful support. Only reason for 4 stars is the strings are too short. I don't won't long strings flapping when I walk or run, but it is close to impossible to get them tied due to the length. I have other Brooks shoes and this is the first time I have had this issue.

I have been wearing the Adrenaline for years after they were recommended to me in a local runner's shop. However, I hate the laces on the Adrenaline 22! Too short and I miss the round laces!

These shoes are fine—just what I’m used to—but the laces are very hard to keep tied. I finally switched them out with an old pair of Brooks I was using for yard shoes.

I love the Adrenaline GTS 22. I have bought 1-2 pairs every six months for the past 12 years. That said, I'm wondering if they changed something on the heel this time around. I've never had them blister me before, but this pair rubbed differently above my left heel at the base of my Achilles tendon. It wasn't bad, and my skin calloused there within a few runs, but I still notice the rub there. A dozen years ago, I was having arch pain. Within a month of running in the Adrenaline it was gone and has never returned.
