63 year old life-long runner w/ wide, sensitive feet and high arches, so finding shoes can be a challenge. If you have wide feet, I suggest you give this model a try. I tried on close to ten extra-wide shoes before settling on this model. I found these to be the widest, with ample toe- box space, as compared to the competition (the majority being New Balance). They were fairly comfortable out of the box, and after just one short run (2.5 miles), I feel comfortable in writing an honest review. Cushioning is adequate, not too soft nor too firm. No uncomfortable seams at the widest point of the foot, thankfully. FYI - my go to shoes the last 10 years have been Nike Pegasus - I found these Brooks shoes to be more roomy. The uppers are comfortable enough to earn a 4-star rating.

They were too big. Which is weird because I wear the same size in other Brooks shoes.

These Brooks Ghost sneakers in the 4E fit my extra wide feet perfectly. I personally remove the insole that comes with these and use a spenco running insole for extra cushioning in the heel as I am on my feet all day moving furniture. Very comfortable to wear all day, lightweight and breathable

great shoes, bigger than true size. Medium. decent arch support

I finally figured out that your feet grow ever so slightly. Went from 11 1/2/-12 which is 1/8 inch longer and PERFECT FIT.

These are great for my 8-10 hour shift. I am on my feet for most of the shift and these do not disappoint. The Ghost 14 line is perfect.

I wear a 12 in everything else, except for running shoes. For running shoes I wear a size 13. These are the best running shoes I have owned. I walk 4-10 miles a day, depending on the weather and time of year, and these last 2 to 2.5 months.

Great fit, great material

I went through several pairs of Ghost 12s, and loved them, wearing them to death. But Ghost 13s had a stiff tab on the back of the heel that rubbed against the top of my heel and gave me blisters, to the point I had to throw them out. I went back to Ghost 12s until stores ran out of stock, and then tentatively tried the Ghost 14. Much to my relief, Brooks got rid of that awful stiff heel tab, and I had my favorite shoe back again. It's a great, comfortable fit. My only complaint is that the tread on the sole does wear out a little earlier than I would expect. I usually can't get too much more than 300 miles out of them. I don't run much, but I walk close 15-20 miles a week.

Cushioning and fit are outstanding!!… haven’t put too many miles on them yet but they seem an improvement from the previous version

Love the Brooks Ghost shoes! The comfort and support are great, and I love how lightweight they are! Easy to wear for extended time! And the service from Zappos can’t be beat - very prompt arrival and easy free returns when necessary!

The Brooks Ghost has become my go to shoe for running and other outdoor activities. The wide toe box provides plenty of room and is true to size. I order a half size larger than my usual size because they seem a little shorter in length. The shoe provides moderate support, cushioning is good, and overall comfort is great. Only down side is that Brooks limits the available colors for the 4E width.
