These are one of the best shoes out there for running big miles on mixed terrain. Choosing the correct width is critical; that is, moving up in size for roominess causes stress elsewhere. Brooks makes me a fit for you. The Ghost 14 is light, soft and springy enough for speed, and feels almost unnoticed on long runs - like part of your body. Wear out time is a personal choice of weekly total miles.... Think and buy more often. Ghost 14's are safe.

Love the ghosts, I?ve had 3 pairs over the last few years. Awesome company, good fit and durable shoes that will last awhile. Soft enough for longer runs and firm enough to lift weights in. My only suggestions to make it the ?perfect? shoe would be to make the forefoot slightly wider for better toe splay, and reduce the heal/toe drop to the 5-8mm range. Otherwise outstanding.

I retired my Ghost 12's for a new pair of Ghost 14's. They are still the best running shoes I've ever had. Great cushioning and really make me feel confident in my feet. The only knock I have on the pair I got is the laces are really short for using a runners loop which I use. My 12's had plenty of lace for the loop, but the 14's seemed to have really trimmed the lace length too short.

Overall great shoes but don't last for long - surprisingly my Ghost 13 and Ghost 14 pair had sane problem with heel part - got worn out in few months!!! Material used in this part not durable at all. The rest was fine - great cushioning, flexible, style and outside part perfectly built no problems plus very light shoes - in general highly recommended especially Ghost 14 - I got new pair last month purchased on sale!!!

I?m a pediatric nurse and these shoes are single handedly saving my back, on the day to day I get home and not only does my back not hurt at all but my feet also don?t after a 12 hour shift.

Great running shoe. I used it for XC training over the summer and most of the fall. I got in about 400 miles with them. They wore out a bit quicker than I preferred but that was probably because I played basketball in them over the summer too. Anyhoo the fit was great. nice and snug as a bug. Definitely a shoe I would and probably will come back to.

Good fit, lightweight athletic shoe; but too little support in the front; feels fragile like it will tear, and you painfully feel every frontal impact.

Not as comfy as the Brooks Ghost 13. Felt like running in sandals at times.

I?ve had many of the ghost shoes throughout their series and this one felt the best in regards to cushion, support and the increase in foreword momentum while running. The only thing I?m not a fan of is the material they use for the upper. It?s not strong enough and often is prone to tearing over time and will lose its shape and create slop in the shoe. I ended up purchasing the gtx version of the shoe and wish they would make that a standard for the ghost shoes.

My wife bought me the Ghost 14 running shoes as I run a few times a week. I usually do not spend over $100 per pair, so I?ve never had Brooks shoes which I was excited to try. I have run 3 times for a total of 9 miles and the bottoms of the shoes are falling apart. I have bought running shoes for half the price that lasted until I donated them (6+ months still in good condition). I contacted customer service and they said this is normal wear. Disappointed in this product. See picture attached.

Terrible. My feet were killing me by the end of my run. Had to send them back.
