I’ve been a long fan of Brooks Ghost, especially the 11 when I must’ve bought 10 pairs to last me. I’m glad I did because the 12 and 13 were lackluster and clunky. With the 14 Brooks has returned to a more streamlined, light and bouncy sneaker. It’s not exact my a “wow” in both looks and feel, but they do the job day in and day out. In short, they’re reliable. I am however a bit concerned with longevity since after only two runs there’s already some pilling of the material right at the heel cut. I foresee a small hole in there by the 100 mile mark.

Fit is comfortable and similar to other Brooks I've warn. Like the all black--non flashy style. comfortable. Appear durable but have only worn them 2 weeks.

The days of returning running shoes is over. The Ghost is back! Nice wide toe box, snug, cushioned heel, and excellent support and cushioning. They're perfect!

My 74 year old wife has been wearing Brooks running shoes for years and the Ghost model is her favorite. There are 3 pairs in her rotation now. I had never owned a pair until I bought these and I now see why she has 3 pairs. These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever put on my feet. The cushioning under my heels as I walk was amazing. I have worn Brooks Addiction Walkers but these are so much better. Now, I just wish Brooks would take this technology and make a shoe I could wear for dress that had the exact same feel.

Fit and size were true as advertised. Color was exactly what I wanted; neither too dark nor too bright.

The new Brooks Ghost 14 have an extremely aggressive arch. The arch is much too high for me, higher than any other Ghost iteration. Sending this one back.

These shoes are awesome. I am a big guy, but getting smaller. I was 364 lbs when I started my weight loss journey. Today, I am 290lbs. I rewarded myself once I under 300lbs with a nice pair of running shoes and the Ghost 14 does not disappoint. I put 5 miles on these shoes day one! Absolutely the best shoe ever made?.even for a big man.

I have read great reviews about Brooks shoes. I understand why! These Brooks Ghost 14 have really helped with my posture, stride, and impact. They make for a great running shoe for me.

First run yesterday in the 14's (10.12 mile run on a track,1:26:00). 80 degrees and 3 rain showers. Took about 3 miles to break in. Right shoe almost felt like I had tied it to tight, but once the sweat got into the laces. It loosened it up just right. Comfortable, good bounce and absorbed water well. The toe area did feel like it had to much room compared to the 13. That is what caused me to tighten the laces a little more. But the thought kinda disappeared during the run.

I recently purchased a pair of the Ghost 14 shoes in black. I had never tried a pair on and after hearing people talk about how comfortable they were I decided to go try a pair on. I normally wear a size 13 in other shoes and this shoe was no different but in some of the other Brooks shoes I would have to get a 13 wide in order to be comfortable and the shoes not be so tight on my foot. So far I really like the Ghost 14. I have always wore Nike shoes and I am glad I decided to give Brooks shoes a try. They are probably the most comfortable and supporting shoe I have ever wore. I hope one day Brooks will make a work boot with/without a composite toe for people like myself who are required to wear a safety toe boot for work. I think with the technology that Brooks puts into their shoes they could make a boot just as comfortable and supportive as their shoes.

To the Brooks Team: long time customer since you?re one of the few running shoe companies that makes a narrow width. My complaint with the Ghost 14 is this: why do you all make the B width shoes in the most boring colors? Each model is always the most bland color and I believe it?s time you all up your game. The ghost 14 gray is basically like the New Balance 991 - very utilitarian. Other than that - great shoe as always.

Remember when we used to return home from a long trip and feel so good to be back? I know, not so much in pandemic times...
But that's how I feel about the Ghost 14. the 13 was that weird road trip where the shoes became dirty immediately and were kinda stiff and orthotics were required. The 14 is home. It's a glove with support for a good walkabout. I put them on and ahhhh.
Only pet peeve is that Brooks, like the other manufacturers, need to make wider shoe tongues in their wider shoes. I can see my foot at the top and the laces rub. The New Balance shoe I tried was so bad I had to return them even though they were cuter than the Ghost. I bought gray this time so the dirt wouldn't show like it did on the 13. Fingers crossed!

Wow! I was utterly speechless when I tried them on. Now why can't the Glycerin and Adrenaline feel like this. Me, my wife and the MiL have been wearing Brooks for almost a decade now. Even though we are all active and healthy, we all suffer from the "wide and high arch feet", and needs shoes that would cradle our feet like a baby. I discovered Brooks and the rest was history. As I have mentioned, we have been having difficulties with Glycerins and Adrenalines; the previous and new versions. I didn't think that the cheaper Ghost would be the solution.
The Ghost 14 is a godsend. I miss having a shoe that takes care of my feet. They look amazing too unlike the new Adrenaline and Glycerin. I just received the Ghost 14 and I already ran several miles with it and so far Zero pain. It feels like my very first Glycerin so many years ago. I have missed walking on clouds.

I have been running in the Ghost's since the 4's. They have all been good, some better than the others. Having said that the 14's are simply amazing, the BEST Ghost's ever. From my first 5 mile run in them it just felt right. You just want to keep running, and running and running.......

The back of the shoes have dug into my skin. I thought it was cause they weren't broken in, but it has never gotten better. I had to add padding and wear thicker socks. This are definitely my size because all other aspects correctly fit my foot. The quality of these shoes are great but they are not the comfiest. My feet don't hurt after running, but without the additional support I added, they would absolutely tear up the back.

What can I say?. Brooks has outdone themselves again with the Ghosts 14. I?ve been wearing ghosts for the past 3 years I believed I started with the 11?s. They have changed my life, I?m a bigger guy 6ft 230+ and these shoes are all I will wear now. I have 2 pairs one for running and one for daily life. I used to suffer from terrible plantar fasciitis and thought I would never be rid or it, but the ghosts I feel made the difference. Also, the 14?s are lighter then then the 13?s. Over all great shoe!

After being dedicated to Ascis for over a decade, the new Kayanos started making my feet hurt and the toe box was way too tight. I went to my local running store and they fitted me with these shoes which are by far the best running shoe I've had. I am a neutral runner, but I do feel and like the arch support. The flat laces hug the top part of my foot better than the cordlike laces of prior shoes/Ghost versions. The heel/side cushion is perfect for midstrike running. The toe box is roomy and doesn't hurt or tighten in the middle of the run.

I was recently given the opportunity to try the new Ghost '14 running shoes and am very impressed. The new Ghost '14 offers a near perfect balance of support without sacrificing "road feel" as your foot transfers from heel to toe. The Ghost '14 is a nice light shoe and the Air Mesh upper offers a great deal of breath ability for those longer training sessions. Although this pair was offered at no-charge for my evaluation, I will gladly continue to be a Brooks enthusiast and order up another pair!!! Thanks again for a great shoe Brooks and keep up the good work! You will not be disappointed if you choose the Ghost '14

I've always been thoroughly impressed by the Brooks Ghost. The latest 14th edition is no exception. When I was given the opportunity to trial the Ghost 14 free of charge simply in exchange for my honest opinion and review I lept at it! They were comfortable right out of the box with no break in period and performed true to prior experiences straight into my first run with them. They have a new upper look in terms of style pattern along with flatter laces. The base also has a new appearance with a more rugged look almost like meant for trail running--although their fit and feel do not echo this. I generally like more vivid colored shoes, but found the grey pair I received to be appealing due to the midshoe blue Brooks emblem, darker contrasting graphite base, and hint of orange treads visible. I hope there are more vibrant and creative colors available once fully launched. They contour nicely around my size 10.5 feet yet have no sense of being snug or restrictive. The heel wall is well padded and I had no rubbing or irritation on any runs. The toe box is adequate too for average width feet. The laces were a bit long for me though and could potentially annoy some runners if they flop around too much once laced. I was able to run with them both on my treadmill and open road. They feel light yet cushiony, but the best aspect is you don't even really know they're there once you get over their first strong impressions. Although listed as a neutral shoe, I felt supported with no strain despite having a slight overpronation in my stride. I'm not sure what the weight or drop on this edition is, but they felt similar to prior Ghost shoes. I think they function well as a regular training shoe with some crossover to races for casual runners like myself, but would likely be too heavy or cushioned for advanced athletes. They held consistent on both slower weekend long runs and more tempo weekday runs. In fact, the Ghost 14 was the only piece of running equipment (including my body) that held up for a run in 95+ heat/humidity. Simply put, they just feel REAL good and perform excellent.

Thank you for sending me a pair of your new Ghost 14 shoes free of charge so that I could give you my honest opinion! As you know I have been a customer of Brooks for several years. I am predominantly a walker as opposed to a runner, walking typically approximately 5 miles 5 days a week with my wife. In the past, I have predominantly bought the Adrenaline GTS model. I buy Brooks because I like the fit, the light weight, the breathability, the lack of pressure points, and the attractive look! The Ghost 14 was no exception! It delivered all of this attractive features plus literally felt like I was ?walking on air?! I was with my 5 adult children on a walk over father?s day and my daughter said ?Pops, cool shoes!? I looked around and nearly all of them had Brooks on! You certainly have some fans in the Anderson Family! Sincerely, Mark

I have been a longtime Ghost fan. I did not like the Ghost 13's, I felt they
were too tight across the top of my foot, I didn't like the eyelets or new
laces. The Ghost 14 huge improvement. The top of the shoe / tongue area
fits better, the laces are better. Overall better fit especially for an
orthotic wearer.
