I am disappointed in the durability of this shoe. The Ghost 14 is my third pair of Ghosts. I’m a runner. I’ve also run in the Ghost 11 and 12. I’m a big Brooks fan and have logged many many miles in 12 different pairs of Brooks shoes since I discovered them about 4 years ago. I love how durable and comfortable Brooks are. I experiment with other brands too, but I keep coming back to Brooks for their durability and comfort. Having said that, I’m very disappointed with the durability of the Ghost 14. It’s still a very comfortable shoe, but it the heel of the shoe began disintegrating after only 120 miles. I currently have 162 miles on Ghost 14, the hole in the right heel has worn completely through the lining, and has almost worn all the way through the padding that keeps your heel from rubbing up against the rigid blister-inducing material that gives the heel its form. I’ve uploaded a picture of the problem(the grey shoe), though the pic doesn’t really capture the problem adequately because it’s impossible to get an angle that really captures the size and depth of the hole from my phone camera. I’ve also uploaded a photo of the right heel on my last pair of Ghosts, the Ghost 12 (blue shoe). I have almost 400 miles on the Ghost 12s and they still don’t have any holes. I routinely put between 400 and 500 miles on my Brooks without any durability issues. Not so with the Ghost 14!

these are a great pair of shoes. My only complaint is that Brooks doesn’t offer the more stylish color options in the wide widths. Brooks needs to realize that those of us that have been blessed with “Duck Feet” like to be stylish too.

I have been a longtime Ghost fan. I did not like the Ghost 13's, I felt they were too tight across the top of my foot, I didn't like the eyelets or new laces. The Ghost 14 huge improvement. The top of the shoe / tongue area fits better, the laces are better. Overall better fit especially for an orthotic wearer.

The Brooks Ghost version 14 is much like its predecessors the 12 and 13, both of which I have purchased and use to this day. I love this shoe and use it to both walk and run, and often while just sitting and working behind my computer. This shoe is very comfortable and fits my relatively wide foot (size 12) with high arches perfectly. The styling is pretty good but hoping they can perhaps find a few more interesting color combinations. The shoe provides great support and comfort for the ways in which I use them

They fit very true to size. They are unbelievably comfortable right out of the box. They are also surprisingly supportive, have great traction and are very stylish with many options in the coolest colors. We workout 2 hours a day 6 days a week and were pleasantly surprised at the functionality of the ghost 14s, They feel like there is a built in shock absorber in the shoe. We liked the gripping of the shoe on the leg machines and the softness but support on the heel strikes on the treadmill. The Ghosts 14 are the most comfortable and supportive yet by far.

I’m a big fan of Brooks and have been wearing nothing but brooks since I found them in 2014. Sadly, this pair’s sole is falling apart just 2 months after I got them. The pics are of both shoes. Truly disappointed.

This is my second pair. I'm 81 years old; run 3 miles/day and no joint problem which is the reason I switched to the Ghost.

I recently received the Brooks Ghost 14 running shoes (size 15D), the shoes fit exactly as expected, their length and width are true to size and they have great support. I am not a prototypical runner, I am over six feet tall and 250 pounds, but I have found the Brooks Ghost running shoes to be the best running shoes I have ever used. With my weight and gait, I can typically get 250 to 300 miles out of a pair of Brooks Ghost running shoes. I have not put many miles on the Ghost 14s yet, but overall I would give them five stars. For comfort I would also give them five stars. For style, I would give them four stars, but only because I have the black and blue color scheme, but with eight different color schemes to choose from, there is definitely a color for everyone. I would highly recommend the Brooks Ghost 14 running shoes to everyone.

Fit was right on, wearing a 7m on a regular. Mesh upper allowed a good amount of breathability, while the shoe proved to be well cushioned.

Extremely disappointed by the durability of this shoe. Bought it 2 months ago and with only moderate indoor use, the sole is already separating from both shoes. See attached pictures. Far from usual Brooks quality and not worth the 130 pricetag...

My husband has wide feet and has been wearing new balance for years.. Brooks feels like a couple of steps up from having FRESH FOAM stamped on your shoes, but still would like a slightly sleeker look. But he's says that they are lightweight and comfy, with lots of cushion. I should note that the first pair we bought the soles started falling apart after 10 miles total. The replacement pair seems to be ok.

I am about a week into my new Ghosts and here is my assessment. Style - I bought the gray on gray and they are very good looking shoes. Not flashy but definitely stylish. Comfort - I’m 8-4E plus high insteps, narrow heels and orthotics. The fit was pretty good out of the box, once I removed the default insoles and replaced them with plain Dr. Scholls pillow foams. They were initially a drop tight by that sensitive bone outside the little toe, but have conformed to my foot pretty quickly. The mesh is not very soft and meshy, and I like that. Will probably keep it’s shape longer. You can really feel the pavement without much cushion, but they are very flexible and comfortable all day. Interestingly, the tongue seems narrower than on other sneakers, but fine and doesn’t easily slip sideways. Performance - I’m not a runner, but walk and play sports. Not sure if I will wear these for tennis. They are lightweight like my favorite Asics cross trainers (no longer available) but not as springy, less side support, and the toe box is very slightly narrower. Much lighter than my Spira Cloudwakers but not as cushy. I will probably try them for racket sports to see if there is enough support to keep them from rolling sideways. I hope so. Still in the hunt for the perfect replacement athletic cross trainer type shoe for my problem feet, but the Ghost 14 checks most of the boxes. It’s a keeper at this point.

I tried a pair on in a store but didn’t like the color. Zappos had more colors but when I got these they did not fit the same width wise as the one I had tried on. Colors may very in size. I shipped these back

Like some others, I am very disappointed in this shoe. I have worn Brooks for years because I have a narrow foot. The quality has always been excellent until this last pair. I use them for walking only. With less than 100 miles on them, the fabric around the heel is torn away from the shoe. There is a quarter sized piece of the side of the sole missing too. These problems are enough to make me look to another brand for my shoes after all of these years. Unfortunately, wearing a B width shoe limits my choices.

I really enjoy my Ghosts. They are very comfortable. This is my second pair of Ghosts and like others, I have consistently had an issue with the material on in the inside top of the heel (@ Achilles tendon) wearing out. Photo of below is black/blue pair and it is happening to my black pair as well. It is really inexcusable in an $130 dollar shoe and it is very disappointing.

I finally decided to replace my beloved Ghost 11 shoes with a new pair of 14s. Unfortunately the same size (4e width) in the 14 is WAY narrower than the 11s. The attached pic shows the difference. I guess the 11s will be my first and last pair of Brooks, so back to the drawing board for me.

Fit was tight in the forefoot but very comfortable to walk around in. I thought that would transfer over to a decent high mileage running shoe- I was wrong. Should’ve done more research. The 12mm drop was way too much. Ended up aggravating an ankle/ heel injury now rehabbing and barely being able to run. Disappointed. Returning and most likely avoiding Brooks running shoes for the foreseeable future.

This is the third pair of Brooks athletic type shoes my husband has and these ran small, so we had Zappos ship the next size larger and they fit! They are lightweight and very comfortable!

THe Ghosts are my absolute favorite running shoes. I have even tried one of the other models Brooks offers and I still go back to the Ghosts. The others either do not have enough arch support or are not strong enough to take much punishment. I always end up just getting a new pair of Ghost 14 when my other ones have had enough running. Still the best brand out there in my book!
I'd also recommend:
New Balance as it is made in the USA but honestly I only use Brooks for running now.
