So I bought these because I own the kayano 26. The kayano 26 were great shoes for me with my pronation for walking and standing. When I tried to run in them the 26 didn't do the job. I decided to not run in them anymore because they weren't good for me when running. I bought the kayano 28 expecting for a similar experience except it was great for standing and walking all day and its great for running. This is a very good shoe. Much-improved night and day. This actually competes with my ither daily trainers now.

Love the look and they are very comfortable. My only complaint would be that they seem to be a bit narrow in the toes - which is something I've never had an issue with before.

These were oddly too tight in the heal area. There is an extremely thick amount of padding at the back of the shoe that just didn't feel quite right.

These were too big compared to the other Asics I ordered. The Gel-Kayano 27 I ordered were the same size as these but were a better fit.
I'd also recommend:
Asics are best for women's long, narrow and flat feet.

Hope Asics continues to make narrows. Never know whether I need an 8 or 81/2 so I end up ordering both. In this case I needed the 81/2. Wish they would make narrows in more colors.

I have a pretty wide foot but the 9 regular fit really well. Toe box was comfortable even at mile 3 without cramping or neuroma pain. Not in love with the color options but that's not too big a deal in the big picture!

These are better than the Previous version but not my favorite shoe. Also not all colors are equally comfortable. I got these ones and the Smokey rose color to rotate. The Smokey rose pair is more comfortable than these. Comfort level is decent and they didn't require much break in time. They fit well. This is the first pair of ASICS I've had in a long time that hasn't slipped in the heel.

I actually prefer the kayano 27. The soles are softer on the 28 but the 28s are more narrow and are more uncomfortable for long term wear. I'd like to see this sole in the 27. Not sure what they did to the top of the shoe but it squeezes the foot and actually causes the foot to go numb over time.

I have to say I like the Gel-Kayano 27 better. The box toe is more comfortable. I feel like there is more cushioning there. The shoe looks as if it has slid forward on the base.

Fit nicely and are comfortable. Too bad they are dull grey! Not sure if I’ll keep them. My last pair were a nice aqua. C’mon ASICS !! How about some exciting colors for the narrow shoes??

Very comfortable shoe, I have joint problems especially in my feet and these so far are one of the better shoes I've found . Just wish they were a little more affordable for average people like myself so I could purchase more!

The insoles come up a bit too high on the sides and rubbed my foot into a blister in the first week of wear. (I did 113 miles in them in the first two weeks I bought them.) But, the soles wear way better than the 27's and the support is great! Once broke in, they were good.

I have been wearing KAYANOs for at least 10 years and they have been my absolute favorite. Unfortunately this latest version has really squeaky soles, squeaky to the point of embarrassment in fitness classes. Another person in my exercise class was wearing the same shoe in the same color and hers squeaked as well. Very very disappointed. I am also disappointed you quit making the womens 12 narrow. It was such a perfect fit for me.

I really wanted to like this shoe but it ran a bit narrow for me. I have narrow feet and I feel like this shoe was tight fitting. But I do have to say the cushion in the sole of the shoe was great!

Very comfortable and supportive, however they are VERY narrow and hurt my feet in that area. I purchased these for work and did not realize how tight they were until it was too late to return. In sneakers, i dont typically wear a wide. I did end up purchasing another pair of asics in a wide (waiting on delivery). Wish the Kayano came in wide!!!

Will someone tell Asics to STOP screwing with this shoe . . .
My first Kayanos were 19's, so I remember the wonderful 21's, horrific 22's, not-quite-as-bad-as-22 23's, improved 24's, and the 25's and 26 I wish they'd make forever. These, however, continue the trend of the 27 with an even shallower toe box that leaves me struggling to choose between a 9.5 that feels like an ankle injury waiting to happen (because it's too big for correct support) and my usual 9 that wants to hold my toes down, especially on my bigger foot.
The "kicker" is that my feet need just a little more width than narrow shoes, and many medium-width shoes are too wide on my feet at the correct length, even with thick socks. If people with narrow feet are this frustrated, is everyone actually medium-width buying wide-width Kayanos?
I can't even rate longevity and running in them because I'm still trying to get the fit right!
