Love Asics! Have been buying gel kayano for some time now. This pair seemed half size smaller, so I reordered in the next size. Sizing is such a personal issue though ... hope they work for you.

I've been running for three weeks with my new pair of Gel Kayano 28 (previously I had Gel Contend 5)
Amazing. So worth the higher price. My pace went higher. My endurance went higher. My legs don't hurt anymore. I don't feel the full force of the ground (or even feel the ground really) with these shoes.

I have worn the Gel-Kayano for years and years. Always a good fit. When the tread is low, I buy a new pair and pass on the old pair to a neighbor. She loves them, tread or no tread.

I am a competitive track and field athlete with narrow feet and usually have trouble finding shoes that are the right width for me. I wear Kayanos for their support and cushioning, and was pleasantly surprised to find a narrow.

I found this brand provides more arch and footbed support than Brooks, and they cushion the feet as well.

One day my chiropractor told me that I was pronating - the likely cause of medial knee pain.
That night I looked up the best support shoe for this condition and found Kayano-28. Within 3 days my knee pain was gone and I've only worn Asics gel-Kayano 28 shoes every day ever since. I have 4 pair. (I fear the chiropractor wanted to make me orthotics and missed out because of these shoes.)

Great shoe! I've basically been wearing them non-stop since I got them, and I'm a dog walker. They're comfortable and last for long distances. Good for running too if you're not specific about your running shoes. Highly recommend

I've worn ASICS Gel Kayanos for years, and up until about 2018 or 2019, they had always fit my feet perfectly. In or about 2018 or 2019, however, the company remodeled the toe box to be much narrower than before, making the shoe far less comfortable. I eventually switched to a different running shoe but it still wasn't as good a fit as the old Gel Kayanos. Happy to say that with this new pair of Gel Kayano 28s, ASICS is back to using the original, roomier toe box! It's perfect again! I'm tempted to buy another pair before ASICS "rethinks" the design again!
