I bought these because I have the Novablast (last years model) and they are my favorite sneakers. They fit true to size but are slightly narrower across the forefoot than my original pairs. They have a tiny bit more arch support which makes my heel feel a little more stable. The cushioning is good, but the original novablast definitely feel more bouncy, which is my favorite thing about them. I’m not in love with the color (Birch). I thought they were off white, however the greenish tinge on the sole is awkward and indecisive , lol. It makes them look dingy. If you can get original novablast in grey, they are nice looking and more bouncy.

Great shoes but they run small. I normally wear a 5 1/2 or 6 but I had to switch to a 6 1/2. Now very comfortable!

I wanted to like these shoes but unfortunately had to send them back. There is a lot of cushion in the heel but the toe bed felt flat and un-cushioned. Also, the fabric on shoe had lots of holes for air but I felt would rip/wear out very quickly.

Bought these for my daughter who to train in for High School Cross Country. She likes them very much, with the only small hiccup is some pain on the top of one of her feet. Unsure if it is caused by the shoe or not. Did not have the paid prior to the shoe but only one foot has the issue, and it is not a serious issue at all. She says the shoes provide good feedback and a little push off when running. We have tried other brands for a bit and have come back to ASICS mainly for the fit. They just seem to fit her feet better than other shoes. She is currently running about 35 miles a week, and has had the shoes for a month, they seem to be holding up ok. I would expect them to last about 3 or 4 months, before they will need to be replaced, with at the present time we would purchase the same model. It is noted that these shoes are strictly for training, and another brand and model will be used for actual Cross Country Races.

Great shoe - if it was wide enough. Why no wides in this. It's by far the most comfortable and cushioned for those of us with foot damage, but that also means we need WIDE.

I bought these shoes because they were given high ratings by fellow nurses. I was having pain on the top of my left foot and the ball of my right foot. These shoes helped some with the pain; I don't have nearly as much anymore. However, my feet still get pretty sore throughout the day. The pain has improved only in that it doesn't last long after my workday is done. What really bothers me about these shoes, however, is that my feet smell at the end of the day. That's a problem I haven't had for YEARS. Probably over 10+ years! I don't know what kind of fabric these shoes are made out of, but whatever it is it isn't good at keeping your feet dry/cool enough to prevent odor.

These sneakers are surprisingly narrow! I had to lace them differently to fit better, when I usually fit a standard shoe. I might advise sizing up.

I wanted to love these. I do love these! But sadly they won’t work for me. The sole is perfect, but the shoe itself isn’t comfortable. The heel/Achilles area started to rub as soon as I put it on, and I could feel exactly where I’d get blisters.

Major disappointment! I loved how bouncy the first Novablasts were, so I expected these to be even better. There is zero springiness; I don't know what they did to these! Not nearly as comfortable and with no energy return at all, I will not be wearing these.

The 1st generation Novablast are my absolute favorite running sneakers so I had high hopes for the 2nd generation. Unfortunately, the 2nd generation was a major downgrade. The midsole cushion was drastically reduced in the 2nd generation to the point where my feet hurt running in these shoes after just a few blocks. For some reason this shoe also fits smaller than the 1st generation. While running, my feet seemed to slip towards the toe box and felt very uncomfortable. The quality of the sole of the 2nd generation is also inferior to the 1st generation. Not sure what Asics was thinking when they created the 2nd generation, but they destroyed a great shoe. Hopefully the next version will be more similar to the 1st generation.

I bought 3 pair of these in different colors, the cushioning is great. But the one I bought in safety yellow, ran smaller or was made with poor quality control. I wore them for a day and they hurt my toes so much they're now just sitting in the closet. The top of the sneaker just put too much pressure on toes. The other two pair are great, but now I'm out over $100.00, so be careful.

My seasonal job I was walking 20,000 plus steps a day, my feet were killing me!! I read other reviews for the novablast that they were like walking on a marshmallow. These are probably one of the most comfortable shoes for me that i've had in a while. The last few times i've worn them i did not have to switch them out half way through my shift. I did go up a size though. I would definitely purchase this style again.

Functionally an awesome show. Cushioned without being ridiculous or heavy and still responsive. Aesthetically a little lacking. I got the green and beige colorway which is a little meh. Not bright enough to be neon, beige is, well, beige (good for not showing dirt), and weird choice to match the magenta laces to the Asics stripes (why?!?). Love the almost faceted look to the midsole, though. Seems like the 3s stepped up the aesthetics. Solid choice especially for dark morning runs.

Theses are THE most comfortable Asics I have ever tried, and I have bought many different ones! They fit my feet perfectly. I wear them from the moment I wake up, until I go to bed. From someone who has suffered from awful plantar fasciitis for over a year, these make my feet feel normal again! Highly recommend!

When I first tried these on... two things were obvious: - I felt like I was standing on a marshmallow - The shoe was significantly bigger than me in every direction I wear an 8 i shoes and 8.5 in most running shoes. The 8.5 felt big, wide, long... and don't get me started with whatever is going on in the heel. Given that I planned to run in these through the winter, I didn't size down, as I could just wear them with thick socks and I used the extra holes for laces to make them a little more snug. That being said, the shoe being kinda long did at first bother me and the shape noticeably altered how my foot hit the ground. The heel was just getting in the way and my first run in them (which was on a treadmill) was super weird at higher speeds. The solution was to just not go too fast and the shoe was a joy to run in. Since this first awkward experience on the treadmill, I've run about a hundred miles in them (mostly outdoors) and this is definitely my go-to shoe for long easy or recovery runs. It's a shoe that after an hour and a half, still feels completely weightless and doesn't bother me in any way shape or form -- absolute miracle! Besides being soft and light, it's quite responsive... so a good all-purpose shoe. I don't know whether the weirdness I experienced running at higher speeds initially was a feature of the shoe or was because there's a learning curve to get used to the bigger heel. I have not tried to run much faster in them, as I prefer a somewhat firmer shoe for faster runs.
