An overall great daily trainer for longer runs that stays with you when you pick up the pace. This is my first ASICS shoe in my rotation in a long time - never liked any of the gel models - that I chose over the Glycerin 19, which is a comparable shoe, as is the new Nike Pegasus, and for me the hands down choice between them. I have moderate arch and feet that are just a bit narrow, but the shoe felt locked in, the midsole cushy but responsive, and the mesh upper is terrific. The shoe can adapt to faster paces and even some tempo work, but not ideal for the latter. Only cons are that the midsole does tend to push the foot inwards and the toe splay is best for a bit wider feet. No big issues, this is great trainer that I rotate with the excellent Puma Velocity nitro. Great Zappos service too, as always.

The shoes feel great. I added them to a small rotation with two Brooks models, walked 10 miles in them with no discomfort first time out the door. I am a moderately overweight 65 year old trying to get back into running after a long absence. I wanted a super soft riding shoe with no hot spots or other foot discomfort and this one works for me. Size 11, true to size, plenty of toe room, good grip on heel.
