Could be just me, but I am in between a size 8.5 and 9 in all Hoka's. 8.5 tend to be right length, but too narrow. 9 is right width, but to much wiggle room in toes and forefoot. Frustrating. So, I double up on socks with 9's. I don't believe in adjusting socks to fit shoes, however, I do love Hoka's cushioning for my "older" feet! so I eat dirt on this rule. This Rincon is a nice shoe! Light and well balanced with great cushioning. 4 stars because I would like to CAUTION Hoka about the pull tab on the back of the shoe. Looks like a disaster waiting to happen. Last generation Rincon had a bit larger pull, but a pull is a pull; a loop that can be caught on anything. Maybe because I work in the medical field and I am always looking for potential for injury, I picked up on this fine detail. I don't think a heel pull is necessary for a light, airy, athletic shoe or any athletic shoes for that matter.

Great fit but parts of the soles wore out and came off after 11 months of normal/ intermittent wear. My other hokas didn't do thius. Manufacturing issue with the soles!

so bought these on recommendation . was very unhappy with the low heel. after looking up what was going on, i had to order insoles with a raised heel cushion. they are now more comfortable but still a noticeable lower heel. first and last pair of these. should have a large warning on the shoe description.

Size and fit was great but I felt that there was no arch support. Sad because I really liked the style of these shoes

I purchased to use for new work shoe. I'm in medical and work at a hospital, about half the time my feet feel fine. However, the side of my feet hurt when I am stationary for 20 to 30 minutes next to patient. I don't know if the style I purchased was was appropriate for my job. I have been wearing Danskas for 6 years but I thought I would try the HOKA brand. I'm really not that impressed, sorry. I thought they would feel wonderful all day long but they dont.

This was 1st pair of HOKA that I tried and they’re not for me, the outer heel-sole is too squishy. I need support. I replaced the inner sole w my aetrex insole and then they don’t fit- my heel slips out - So I can’t wear my own insole. They’re extremely light weight if that’s what you’re looking for. And outer sole is too squishy if that’s what you’re looking for. Not for me.

I loved the feel of the shoe and its weight - ultra light!! I didn't like that it didn't have enough support.

This is a cute shoe, it felt small though and really did not feel like a good choice for a long distance walking shoe. Nice subtle color instead of the typical HOKAs I’ve seen.

Now I remember why I stopped buying Hokas a 1,000 years ago when nobody knew Hoka - blisters because of a narrow toe box. AND I'm now buying a wide instead of regular but no matter - blisters even with blister-free socks. I haven't had blisters in years but, then again, I haven't ordered Hokas in years either. Felt comfortable when trying on in the house and the first two walks were fine (probably because of the socks) but now I'll be donating both pairs and getting something else. $250 down the drain (two pairs), despite reading reviews that indicated the toe box was larger on this shoe. However, Hoka have done the best at eliminating my knee pain so if they could ever get the toe box wide enough, I'd never switch again!
I'd also recommend:
Saucony, Brooks, New Balance

I love Rincon 2, I have several pairs. I regret my purchase of Rincon 3: 2 pairs (evening sky/ocean mist, eggnog/rose). They are worn and boxes are gone. Writing this review to help you avoid my mistake. Be sure to pay attention to 2 things, before you throw out the box and/or wear outdoors: (1) the scallop plasticy tongue of the shoe and (2) width of the sneaker. Let me start with width of the shoe... it is slightly more narrow than Rincon 2... i need to wear a thin/lightweight sock to overcome that. I thought that was the only issue and it was an easy fix, so I wore them outdoors. [Separate aside: I have a normal width foot with medium arch. My pinky toes are short/small. my feet are not even remotely wide]. here's the big mistake: I was not paying enough attention to the new tongue on Rincon 3. It is plasticy and curves around the foot (look at the picture closely, you'll see what i mean, it isn't the cushy soft tongue of previous shoes whose edge runs straight across). It might seem like a clever design to curve the tongue of the shoe around the foot... but that is great ONLY IF the tongue stayed in place (which you know, generally does not in most shoes, right?). Sure enough the tongue of this Rincon 3 moves to the side a bit, which causes the scallop edge to rub against my foot with every footstep. I wear low or no show socks, so that plasticy edge rubbing against the bare skin of my foot with every footstep gets old, once you become consciously aware of it. I discovered that Injini socks (which I wear with flip flops), a crew style, helps with the discomfort, as it shields my skin from the plasticy edge of the scalloped tongue. But, it's not an attractive look cuz the 'injini' logo shows right there above the tongue (not a good look). Anyway, i either live with that or give them away. It is my bad that I did not do more due diligence by wearing indoors and saving the box. Normally i do that, I just was not paying attention to that tongue. I hope the Rincon 4 (if they release it) does not have that tongue, or I will have to go look for another running shoe. The only other HOKA style approved by my osteopath is Bondi, but boy that shoe is very clunky looking AND ironically runs narrow (it numbs the pinky toes). Rincon 2 is attractive and functional. Fingers crossed that the Rincon 4 will not have the same tongue as Rincon 3 and that the regular width of the shoe is workable.

Felt flimsy compared to other Hoka's I have worn. Sole was too squishy, not as supportive. I always buy the more expensive ones, and that is probably why.

I have been wearing Clifton 9 for running, and I absolutely love them. I bought them from Roadrunner and was able to try them on at the store.
I recently purchased a pair of Rincon 3 online. My daughter likes them so I thought I would give them a try. They are very light and cute, but not so comfortable. The tongue of the shoe hurts my left foot.

I use the shoes for running, cross-training, group cardio, and walking. I have been wearing Stinson 9, and I love them. They are comfortable and supportive.
The Rincon has a goofy synthetic tongue that bothers the top of my foot.
My daughter, however, loves the Rincon. That's why I decided to buy some.

Not as supportive as other models. Also, even though it was a wide, doesn't accommodate my foot as well as other models.
