I have purchased prior versions of the Hoka Clifton and have LOVED them. These are a little disappointing - they don't have quite the same fit around my foot. The upper of the shoe is a bit odd - the fabric isn't firm enough to hold it's shape, so when you look down at your shoe it looks a bit like it's bunching. They've also add some different support behind the ankle and lowered the ankle. It's not horrible, but I prefer the older Cliftons. I will need to to start researching other brands as the Hoka Clifton will no longer be my go-to shoe.

Size down, the original size I purchased I had to return because the shoes kept slipping off the back of my heels. Additionally, I don't ever buy wide shoes in any style but I found that these shoes are incredibly narrow and giving me blisters because of it, so I wish I had. Other than that they are very well made and great for working out/running, just wish they fit me correctly.

My last Hokas were Clifton 5's. I finally decided to replace them. Clifton 8's don't seem to be the same quality in the uppers and feel snug. Most of all, I really dislike the stiff, high-profile heel pull, especially compared to the all knit style of my old Clifton 5's. I've decided to go to our local runner's supply store to try on a variety of styles to find my new favorites.

I got these because so many people recommended then, but they have turned out to be too much shoe for me, a petite female. Too heavy, albeit comfortable enough. Too padded in the inside of the foot for me. Wish I had not worn them outdoors or I would return them.

Bought these as a gift and the recipient really enjoys them. I would have given 5 stars but I waited until "Black Friday" to get a deal but Hoka actually raised their price on that day.

They were highly recommended by a friend. Unfortunately, I thought I was getting a shoe with a more neutral alignment. Had back surgery and wasn't able to try them out right away. By the time I was able to start PT, my therapist said I had the wrong shoe for my gait. Past the 30 days. Bummer.

I bought these shoes because everyone raves about how comfortable and wide they are. I have a metatarsal fracture on the side of my foot that is painful when pressure is applied. I even ordered these shoes in wide. They were not wide - the rubber sides of the sole were not even as wide as my Nike flyknits, which are more comfortable. So, I had to return the Hokas. Side note: they smell very strongly of rubber - I left the box open overnight & the smelled up the room they in.

They are really cute, lots of people love them. I hate them, they hurt my feet they seem to wear unevenly on my heel.

I recently wrote a review about the narrowing of the Cliftons. Not only have I had to go to a wide which I havent ever worn before because a I have narrow, skinny foot but the thickness of the tongue is so uncomfortable that it hurts the top of my foot. I have to keep the laces loose which then leaves the heel prone to slippage. I'm not sure how much longer I am going to be able to stay with Hoka, and I hate that because I have loved them since Clifton 6 and have worn many pairs.

Really was excited for these shoes, as I have the Hoka recovery slides and live in them! Unfortunately, these were to long, narrow at toe-bed, and lacked in arch support. For me, they didn’t have the same arch support as the slides and I was looking for something more substantial.

Sadly, these shoes were too narrow, even in the wide width. I normally wear the Hoka Challenger ATR in a 8.5 wide and was hoping these Cliftons would fit the same as those. Unfortunately, I will be returning them.

I have wide, somewhat flat feet. I could feel the arch a bit and, for me, I don’t need to feel it. I ended up also buying New Balance 1080v11. For me, these felt better. I returned the Hokas.

Wall of the shoe is too high and irritates my foot when I run more than 2 miles in them. I do not have any special inserts in my shoes normally and I saw a running specialist and they said my arch is neutral and normal. This is my first time trying Hokas. I would recommend trying a bunch of pairs or going to a running store to get fitted for a shoe so this does not happen. Not opposed to trying a different Hokas shoe but would not buy this one again for running

This is the very first time that I got a blister while running. I could feel my second toe move back and forth while jogging. This happened about the 5 th time I ran in these shoes for a distance of only 6 miles.

Bought a medium Clifton 8 and it seems wide. My heel is loose in the back. Also i sometimes feel like I'm leaning back. i guess because it's a rocker type sneaker

I was hoping this would be similar to the HOKA x OV Clifton shoes but they are not. They're more stiff and frankly, not much different from running shoes of other brands. I already wore them so unfortunately cannot return. Please bring back the HOKA x OV Clifton! They were the first HOKA shoes I've purchased and were perfect in every day.

I wear these shoes exclusively in the hospital setting. They are very comfortable and supportive, but my right shoe is "squeaky". I have a very professional role and there is often laughter when I am walking with someone as the squeaking sound is difficult to ignore. Laughter is good, but not really what I was looking for in an expensive shoe.

I have been wearing the Cliftons since the Clifton 6 and loved them. They fit perfectly and honestly I feel that they "healed" my hips with the wonderful cushioning. Then the 7's came out and were a bit narrower but I was still able to wear them but not as comfortably. So I tried another brand which lacked the cushion but had a wider toe box. I came back to the Clifton. Now the 8's are out and are even more narrow. I have tried to get used to them but have blisters on my toes. I have a very thin foot and actually used to wear narrow shoes but a couple weeks ago I went to the Bondi and bought a wide. I have ordered a Clifton wide and hoping it works. The Bond is great cushion but heavy. Honestly, I feel that Hoka is narrowing me out of their shoes.

These are very cushy but I couldn’t wear them due to the insole. It felt like some sharp rubbing the side of my arch in my foot. I really think it’s according to how you’re made. My feet are slight pigeon toed and I tend to put weight on the outward sides, I have a high arch plus plantar fasciitis. After wearing these a little over 30 minutes I was done and had my brooks launch back on.

I like my Clifton 7 better, 8s seem a little narrower. What’s with the short shoelaces? Not enough to even knot? Hummmmmmm

I really wanted to like this shoe based on cushion level, but the arch was way too low.

Retuned Clifton 8 in size 7.5 medium because these caused a corn on right foot. Got resized for a 8 wide. Never wore that size in other shoes. Now the width is ok but not too sure about the size. Seems as though my foot is sloshing around , heel is loose. The top front of the shoe is wrinkled and clown-like Not coming back to HOKA. Would like a refund not a credit. These shoes are clearly not for me

If you need arch support, these are the shoes for you. It did nothing but cause me immense pain because my arches are not very high. However, for someone with high arches, the support is overwhelming.
