Great Style in black and built for Winter and wet elements, not meant for real hiking but perfect for urban or suburban everyday walking. Support felt pretty good for a sneaker/hiker boot. I really wanted to keep this boot but sadly the toe box is too narrow for a toe issue I have and flat like the previous reviewers noted...I usually wear a 10.5 in a boot but really need an 11 in this style. It may work if I can size up to 42, but Zappos does not have it available. If you have no foot issues and run a little narrow, this would be a great choice!

As much as I loved this very comfortable shoe, one of the loops that held the shoe lace broke after one wear. This shoe was also supposed to be waterproof based on the description. I wore it on a hike in the rain and the boot completely filled with water and both my socks and the boots were drenched. It’s too bad because I’ve never had a more comfortable shoe doing outdoor activities and the look is great too! I just wish it didn’t tear apart after 1 wear and wished it was waterproof as described.

This is my second review for this product, because now that I've worn them a lot I want to update. I LOVE these. I have spent all day on my feet in them, gotten them wet, and even hiked in them. The arch support is great and they are very comfortable. I was a bit worried about the fit at first, but having gone a full size larger worked out well. The laces make them very adjustable, so no issues with slippage, but I got extra room in the toe box. So my recommendation is to go a full size larger if you have a normal width foot, get your normal size if you have a very narrow foot, and if you have wide feet you could try the full size larger but they might still be too narrow. In any case, they have held up to some pretty rough extended use and I love how they look and feel.

I was looking to buy a light weight not bulky hiking shoes. I have narrow feet and skinny legs, and I wanted something that looks good with shorts and yoga pants, and its dark. these are just the best ! they look so much better on foot than in a pictures. very cool and I would say looks stylish with colorful hiking socks. I wear 8.5 and the fit is perfect.

These are awesome. So comfy and I have a narrow foot and they fit! Not too wide. So maybe run narrow for the average foot. They were a little snug on the length, so Bc they are boots I ordered the next size up to compare. But I can’t wait to wear these!

I’ve had these for a while now and I absolutely love them! They are comfortable for a lot of walking around and great in wet weather. The fit is normal for me, but I do have a slightly narrow foot. I definitely recommend these.

Love these shoes comfortable since the first day I put them on. I work a 12 hour shift that requires me standing for long periods of time. I must say these shoes has the best support.

These felt a little snugger than I expected but they do fit well. You may have to experiment for the right size. I do love them -- they are solid, well-made, and not as 'stiff' as other Gore-Tex shoes I've tried. Great traction!

Fit and size are prefect. So comfortable.

Great boot - top lace cleats make tying the boot over the padded tongue awkward. Plus it does not stay tied. Love everything else.

Fit is great - the laces were a bit short so I switched those out. Overall, very comfortable, even to wear all day walking during travel in the city.

I've regretted not sending these back and ordering the next size larger - the equivalent of US 9. Unfortunately, I was going on a walk right after they arrived and thought they'd be OK. They're uncomfortably tight with my favorite wool-blend winter socks. With thinner socks, my feet aren't cold, BUT if I wear them for hours my feet hurt anyway - they're that snug.

These were terrifically comfortable, but I need them for winter and they did not seem like they would be warm enough, so I returned them.

As other reviewers have pointed out, these run very small. Or rather, very narrow. If you have a very narrow foot, then probably your regular size or a half size up will work. But if your foot is not narrow and you are looking for something for all-day walking, then you'll probably need to go up a full size. I am normally a size 8, and tried both the 39 and 40. The 39 definitely fit, but was a little too snug in the width for being on my feet all day at work (the toe box wasn't too bad, but the ankle and midfoot felt molded to my feet - fine for normal wear, but I worried about extended time), so I went up to 40, which is a full size bigger than I'd normally wear. It's definitely a little big (but the laces make it very adjustable), but I like my shoes a bit big if I'm going to be on my feet all day. They also have high arches, which I liked. So if you have a narrow foot and high arch, these shoes were made for you. If your foot is on the wide side, maybe skip these altogether.

I loved the look of the boots but I had to return them because they were very narrow.

Way too narrow overall and especially in the toe box as it was more rounded so my toes felt crowded and orthotics wouldn't fit. Loved the style and details so much, but as for comfort, sadly have to return. I am usually a 10 or 10.5. Ordered the 10 but it is Not going to work as I had hoped for a daily urban-suburban walking shoe during the Fall, Winter, Spring months. If you run narrow and have zero foot issues, and want a cool black combat-boot type shoe for everyday...this is for YOU! Thank you anyway Zappos!

Very squeezy fit because of neoprene lining. Not comfortable for me.

I used the size chart on the website and the boots were a full size too small. The sizing on the box did not match the sizing on the online size chart. Very frustrating since the boots are totally sold out.
