The fit on this hoody is perfect and the fleece on the inside is so soft. Super warm and great hand pockets.

Probably the best hoody that I have ever bought hence the four colors. Looks good, feels nice, great for layering and washes well.

just got this hoodie and I haven't changed out of it! The fabric on this hoodie is really soft and cushy. Its insanely warm and replaced my thin puffy I wear almost everyday as a layer. I am also just wearing this around off mountain, highly recommend

Lots of negative reviews on this but to each their own. For me, this jacket has lots of great first impressions. I can't speak on durability as I've only owned this jacket for a month. Yes it's the most expensive fleece I own however I love how soft, comfortable, faltering and warm this lightweight hoody is. I wear it casually in town or walking my dog, on hikes, and as a midlayer while I'm skiing or riding at the resort . It's soft fleece inside, pockets for cold hand and a nice fitting hood plus a high zip to cover your neck when you forget a buff I'd totally buy this again in a different color. I haven't owned any previous models of the kyanite so I have nothing to compare to however I am usually a small in every other brands like Patagonia but with arcteryx, my atom and cerium are in a medium as I find them to run small. I ordered this in a small and it's perfect ! Doesn't feel tight or loose. It's the perfect amount of slim fit and space for a baselayer

Big picture: I wear this on an almost daily basis. Great piece for casual wear and cold-weather outdoor activities. It is comfortable, breathable, and versatile. Pros: Trim fit makes it a great mid-layer Long enough for good coverage and no gapping when active (I'm 5'9") Gorgeous color options Super soft fleece Easy care Cons: I'd love it if the mesh pocket liner was sewn down at the waist to make an internal pocket.

I have several regular weight Kyanite and wanted to try the AR style as it is a lighter weight. I bought the colour in Wander. I like to add some colour to tops and will experiment with colours. I find that the colour is not too gold and more towards a mustard. The fit is good and I wear a medium in Arcteryx tops. It can get cold here in winter and I would wear the regular weight hoodies when it is that cold. The hoody washes well and I line dry it.

Bought it for a trip to Yellowstone and it has become a staple. The inside is so soft and cozy. I never want to take it off!

This layer is so cozy! It even manages to protect from wind a bit. I had to size up (usually L, needed XL). I am tall and the longer body length and sleeves are great!

Purchased for fall/winter for dog walking in Northern BC. Love it alone or under my sentinel AR jacket on rainy days.

This is my go to fall jacket. Very comfortable, fitted but not tight. The material is soft yet resistant to wind. I can wear a light sweater underneath the jacket for extra warmth. Very happy with my purchase. Well priced for what you are getting.

I bought this jacket in Folklore in mid-September. I'm in New England so very to have it now that the days are colder. I was surprised at how warm it is. Even on days in low 50s it keeps me warm if I have on a long sleeve tee and a sweatshirt under it. Color is gorgeous and hood is substantial. Fit is good with plenty of room for layers and arm movement.

I now have red, blue and orange. I obviously love them. I wear them all year either as a insulating layer under a shell, alone or as a sweater indoors. I find them fairly windproof when sailing. The blue and red from 2017 both had broken zippers and arcteryx sent me a repair for both which took minutes. I am 5'5" and 130 lbs and wear a medium. Highly recommend.

I absolutely LOVE this hoody so much. This season's style feels a lot more cozier as the fleece feels so soft. Also, the fit is a little stretchier than last year's as well. I typically get a Small and still got the same size as usual and am quite happy. Agree with previous reviewer. Don't think twice. This hoody is the best.

Just ordered this hoody online and received it within a few days. Wore it out hiking in the snow, about -5 and it was excellent. So warm and cozy but doesn't make you over heat. I love the style of this jacket as well. Very flattering fit for sure! I wore this with just a base layer under and an insulated layer over top. This is a staple piece for anyone! Material feels very high quality! The hood also fits well!!

I love this hoody, for several reasons: 1. It is incredibly cozy and soft. It is so cozy that sometimes I sleep in it even when I'm not on a climbing/camping trip. 2. It's very stretchy (but doesn't get stretched out and baggy), which means I have a ton of mobility in it. 3. The styling is classy enough that I can wear it in city settings and not feel like I'm wearing outdoor wear. Cannot recommend this hoody enough. 10/10

Love these hoodies, so soft and warm! The colors on the website are not accurate though. The bright orange is more like pumpkin orange and the blue is more like a teal color. Hoping at some point they update website colors to be more accurate. Fits true to size. I'm 5'3" 120 lbs and order a small because I layer. However if looking for a more fitted look, I can fit the xs.

I am very happy with this hoody, I've worn on a few hikes and I wear around the house, it's super comfortable, so soft, I actually don't realize I am wearing it. It's my go to piece for hill walking and general every day use. I believe it is thermo regulating, I do not ever feel too hot or stuffy in it. Yesterday on my hike I wore it for most of the day over a long sleeve running top. It kept me warm and dry in 10c and some light mist, I removed for a strenuous gully climb but put back on, for the walk home. In terms of size, i am age 49, uk10 to 12, I wear the M and i am very happy in it. It's not shapeless but not fitted either. There is some piling already and it's only 2 weeks old, but I'm wearing it almost constantly. Piling is around the pockets and arm from friction of the movement. It cost me 180e - that's a lot of money, that's a lot of money to me, but I know I'll get tons of use from this top. I hate when I get too hot or stuffy in a top and I'm very fussy about tops that can regulate my body temp. This top ticks that box for me. I'm disappointed with the piling so giving it 4 stars. Also I'd love thumb loops- I think I the design team should look into re enforcing the areas exposed to friction to prevent Piling and introduce Thumb loops..,

The inside is super soft... looked down and am wearing it now! But I didn't realize there were different fits and I buy a lot of arcteryx because it normally has more female shape. I might have passed on this one had I known it was more shapeless. Also looks more blue green on the screen, and is more green IRL

I bought this over a month ago after I tried it on and fell in love with how soft it was. I thought I would use it primarily for walking on chilly days either wearing alone or under a jacket because it's a slim enough fit. It's great for that, but I've recently started running in it on colder days (not sure if that was one of its intended uses) and it's amazing!!! You start off cozy and don't end up getting too hot because of its wicking abilities. My only problem with it is that I am slightly in between sizes in that the medium was too bulky in the chest (I am 5ft 8 ~ 138lbs) but the small was slightly tight too tight under the armpits. I ended up buying the small because I wanted to wear it under things and now I am used to the under arm being a bit snug. I prefer to wear only a tank under it as it seems to perform best this way. i would definitely recommend this as a great all-around performance piece.

Bought this jacket in black and like the fact that it is long enough to cover my bottom. Perfect layering hoody for fall and winter.

I recently purchased the new Kyanite AR Hoody to replace an older version. The new hoody is longer and more relaxed in the body giving it a more casual fit. It is made with a softer fleece and is more comfortable around the neck and shoulders. However, the sleeves are looser and shorter than the previous version and do not stay in place. I am constantly pulling the sleeves down since they ride up on my forearms when I move. This was never an issue with the older version, which is disappointing.

Agree with previous reviewers. I have an earlier version and the S fits great. However, in this version, it fit baggy and loose. It's incredibly soft so wish the fit was better.

The new Kyanite AR feels very slightly thinner and softer than the previous Kyanite. I don't know whether this would translate into slightly less durability. Unfortunately for me, the new version is significantly longer - it almost covers my bum - and (as is the case with many of the recent product revisions) looser. It no longer has the lovely stretchy trim fit that I loved in the old Kyanite. The new version feels and looks less sporty and more like something you'd lounge around at home in. A shame.

There's nothing wrong with the current Kyanite AR per se. It's very warm for how light it is and will serve as a mid-layer when I go out climbing, or a stand-alone when in town. However, in comparison with the older version, this one is lacking. The material on this one definitely feels thinner. The interior zipped pocket is missing. What really irritates me is, with the mesh outer pocket, they could've sewn the bottom shut to make it an interior pocket, and they chose not to. Overall, a decent product. Maybe a tad expensive for fleece. Seems like they cut corners on this current version and kept it just as expensive as before.
