I've used this hoody a handful of times, including wiggeling my way up an offwidth. It was more of a struggle than I'd like to admit, but I put the hoody through the ringer- dragging it across granite rock. It held up really well and I was surprised. Hard to find something soft and durable. It is my favorite hoody and I try not to take it out when I'm going to climb offwidth- but it just kinda happened. I am more than comfortable endorsing this product. It is a touch thicker than my usual hoody. For example it is thicker, softer, warmer and much more comfortable than an OR Echo Hoody. Plan accordingly...

My absolute favorite base layer for winter. I've own mine for about 16 months now and wear them almost daily through the winter. I like: so soft, snug hood, long arms, thumb loops, that it hasn't started pilling even after a lot of use, very breathable, it looks great. I wish: honestly, I can't think of a way to improve it.

I bought this three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the fit and quality. Thicker than I expected. The material is very soft and stretchy. Can be worn alone in cooler conditions or used as part of a layering system. I own several hoodys but this immediately became my favourite. Great for around the house too. 6'2" / 230lb I bought L which provides a good athletic fit. I have long arms but the hoody fits perfect.

This later packs a lot of warmth relative to its weight, heaviness. I purchased it for cool morning runs during the shoulder months, when it's cool but not cold enough for a jacket, and it works really well for this. I typically wear a medium but went up a size (L) for a looser feel and so I could comfortably wear a tee under it, and it is working well as an outer layer. A medium, however, is perfect for a closer fitting base layer. Overall, highly recommended!

Worn for several cool weather runs and love the hoody. Superb quality, soft and comfortable and perfect weight down to about 5 deg C
Can see myself wearing as ski or climbing base layer too.

I bought this and then did a 5 hour alpine run. It was so comfortable and breathe able. I pair it with a windbreaker for MTB rides and I stay warm even at colder temps.
I love base layers in general, but the hood on it kept me warm throughout an all day road ride. Fit comfortable under a helmet and eliminated wind noise so I could hear my music without additional noise.
Fits smaller than I expected which worked out well for me.
A must have.
I will buy another one for sure.

Picked this up as summer was winding down to serve the role of sun hoody in slightly cooler weather.
The Motus AR Hoody does a great job of this as a very versatile base or mid layer with good breathability and great sun protection but with a bit more warmth than a light weight sun hoody. I've been wearing this climbing and hiking for the past month or so and it's become my go-to first layer on days when I might layer up a bit or just run the hoody as temps change during the day.

After using, I was so pleased with the performance and comfort, I purchased a second one. Great to throw over running r in the colder weather without feeling too warm or restricted.

This is easily the best base layer that I have, the fit, the stretch, no rubbing seams. 100% recommended.

I purchased this with the intention of using it as a primary base layer for ski touring & ice climbing. I work as a mountain guide & tend to be somewhat hard on my clothing. Well I just finished a week of OW & crack climbing in Red Rock and this has held up very well. Perfect for breezy fall days in the shade. Excited for the cold to come so that this can be abit more tested.

Breathes well. Great for fall/winter. It's a bit warm for summer aerobic activity. Sleeves are plenty long enough for a high ape index. Comfortable. I'm a little in between sizes unfortunately.

I purchased two of these last winter and really love them. The material is super comfortable and so is the fit. They wick and move moisture well and have a nice not too warm or cold feeling for aerobic activity from about -5 to 0 celcius on their own or colder layered over. They are comfortable to much warmer with non-aerobic activity. I'm 6", 145 lbs and tried small and could have gone with, but preferred the medium fit (I do not like too tight, even in a base layer). I really like the thumb loops too.

I have now purchased two of these, after having been so happy with the first. The fabric is cool in the heat and warm in the cold. The fit is ideal for an athletic build. I wear this as a base but also as a top layer. It looks great.

I bought this to use as my core fall/winter trail running layer. So far it works perfectly with as much wicking as you can expect with high aerobic activities. It also pairs well under my Atom LT for hiking or my overnight in the sleeping bag layer. Extremely versatile piece. Planning to get another one once they're back in stock. For reference, 6'0", 170lbs and really long arms and medium fits perfect as a base layer.

Whattup everybody!
As expected, another incredible garment from Arcteryx. Have been using as base/stand alone layer. Performed great on a windy day at the crag (eldo canyon west ridge. About 27mph winds). On longer high output colder hikes/runs it's been handling very well. Sweat wicks off really quick, but even when sweaty the "thickness" blocks the wind and cool temps from chilling down core temp. Also has performed really well on hot days keeping me cool and blocking out sun, without heating up core temp. The stitching is on point, and the attention to details in high moment areas is awesome(added fabrics to gain mobility under armpits, & on neck of hood). Love the thumb loops in sleeve's also. Had been searching for a solid base layer hoodie, couldn't find quite what I was looking forturns out is was this. Thanks arcteryx!! Please make more medium sizes when you can lol

An excellent base layer to wear under a jacket or gilet. It's thin but surprisingly warm, so best applied during autumn and winter.
