These booties are the softest leather that, I'm sure, I've ever felt. I love them! They do feel like you could stand to size down - at least - a half size. I wish, now, that I'd done so, but still lovely and comfy. They just have some sliding room - even with socks. I have flat feet and these provide comfortable support to my arches, or lack thereof.

Love these booties! So comfortable from the first wear, felt like an old well worn pair. Frye boots are well made and reliable - one of my favorite brands.

I absolutely adore these boots. I'm not one to wear heels, except on special occasions, but I find the height on these to be very comfortable. The quality is superb. I love the subtle western detail - it works with everything, but still has a unique, quirky touch. Great purchase!

Wonderful bootie. Very comfortable, made with very soft lovely leather. Heel height is good for long walks. Definitely true to size. (Possibly on the larger end of the size you would normally wear). The leather is very soft so it will stretch a bit. Plenty of room in the toe for such a pointy bootie.

Love, love, love. The Reina Bootie hit all the marks that I wanted in a high heeled bootie: Rocker Chick. Very sexy. Walkable. Stylish. High heeled yet comfortable. Cowgirl cool. I love the styling of this boot. That they are extremely comfortable is a bonus. Beautifully made, like all the other boots & shoes I own from Frye. Because I wanted a pop of color, I ordered them in the coral buffed nubuck and they are a gorgeous shade, especially wearable for spring and summer. And soft as a baby's bottom. If you're not afraid of color in your cowgirl boots, it's a great choice. I'm planning on wearing them for a special occasion with a short black dress and sheer black stockings. These boots give that kind of outfit a very leggy look, which is what I am after, and I feel confidently sexy in them. I've also been rocking them with skinny jeans. I'm usually a 9.5 in Frye, 10 in other shoes. I ordered these in a 10 and they're perfect, so size up.

I do not often write reviews, but I had to for these boots. I love them... they are so beautiful and go with everything. Not only are they good looking, but they are very comfortable as well. I usually am between 8.5 or 9 in shoes, and based on other reviews, I ordered a 9 in these boots. They are just roomy enough for thick socks, but also work with thinner socks. Great purchase, well worth the money, except now I want them in every color!

This is my first review for Zappos after many purchases. I wanted to review this item because I was concerned about the heel height (I don't wear heels often) and overall fit given the pointy toe, and thought others might be, too. I was totally relieved on both counts. I am on the smaller size of size 6 usually (occasionally need a 5.5) and these fit great in size 6 without pushing my toe into the very point of the shoe. My heel moves around a bit, but I understand this is normal for well-made boots. If you are hesitating at all because of the heel, don't -- it feels totally stable and not at all like you are wearing an almost 3" heel. Wore them walking around NYC with no issues so far. They look great with jeans or with tights and a skirt. Overall, I am thrilled with these.

This is such a gorgeous shoe, unfortunately they didn't look great with my size 11 feet and skinny ankles so they're going back. This style seems to run slightly smaller than other Frye boots I've tried just because of the pointy toe.

I loved the look of these booties and the feel of the leather, but the sizing didn't seem to work for me. I also had concerns with the heel quality as stated in some of the other reviews (the heel is leather-wrapped "synthetic material" which means plastic), so that's ultimately why I didn't try to make one of the sizes "just work". I purchased the Ash color and the leather upper is beautiful (a cross between gray and a warm taupe) and feels buttery soft. BUT...I'm between a 8 and 8.5, so I ordered my usual size 8.5 in boots and my toes were pinched. I returned and ordered the 9 (thanks to the awesome return policy and quick shipping offered by Zappos!) but those felt a little too roomy or wide in the rest of the foot overall. I tried thicker socks but just didn't feel as comfortable in these as I do in some of my other Frye boots. I will be returning these but I've already ordered another pair of booties in a different style (from Zappos, of course!) so hopefully those will work!

These boots are awesome. Unfortunately they didn't fit my feet, so I am returning. The shape with the pointed toe and tapered heel is super sexy, leather is still Frye quality (a bit lighter than the photo but still a beautiful cognac color that goes with anything), but the shoe is a lot wider and longer than I expected with a bigger opening that makes it look quite casual. A 1/2 size down from my normal may be too tight given the pointed toe shape, but we will see!

I ordered these in both Black 10 and Black Cut Stonewash 9.5. The 9.5 fit my right foot perfectly; however, the bunion on my left warned me to go to the 10. The Black leather is very soft, lightly pebbled & elegant in look and feel. The color of the heel and sole are MUCH lighter than the photo indicates. The combination of soft leather and light heel makes the Black bootie look dressy. The Stonewash leather is solid and sturdy, but still soft, with a dark heel. The distressing is much more extreme than the photo - too heavy-handed, IMO, including the pound marks on the heels (as if you had whacked the heels into gravel). One mark even cut through, leaving a flap of heel leather. The bootie leather itself is not scratched or damaged; the distressing is due to the way the leather dye is applied. I returned both and re-ordered the Stonewash in a 10 as the casual style is a better match with my day-to-day. If they look the same as the 9.5, I may just re-polish them to smooth out some of the heavy distressing. One more thing: it is painful for me to wear heels, but these underslung 'Spanish' heels are extremely supportive and comfy - YAY! Dropped 1 star due to over-heavy distressing.

The reviews complaining about the heel are accurate. It is not the same stacked leather heel on other Fryes, and it does feel a little more cheaply made. I have a pair of Frye cowboy boots that I have had for over six years now, and they are phenomenal quality and I expect to have them for the rest of my life. These booties are beautiful and the leather is well made, but the heel is not the regular quality heel of Frye. They are quite comfortable, and match with everything. You do have to be careful with nubuck, and it is more high maintenance than leather. I love them and I am keeping them, but I would have paid more for the regular quality heel.

These boots are insanely gorgeous. I've been looking for the perfect brown bootie for a long time. One that was casual but could be dressed up; shapely but not too pointy toed; a brown that was not too casual, saturated in color, and not too shiny. The Camel was the perfect choice. The coloring is beautiful with just enough contrast on the leather without making it tacky or too countryish. On top of that, it fits wonderfully! I would say the perfect width and height! The only downside is that for this price, the quality is not as perfect as I would like it to be. There are some super tiny markings on the leather (not as bad as distressed leather shoes look). The pair I got, the threading at the back of the foot was broken or snapped. I'm sure it would have been fine to wear (not that it would fall apart), but all I am saying is for this price, it better be perfect. I'm getting another pair to see if the quality is a little bit better.

Cute soft boots, and I so wanted to love them, and I did...until I wore them around the house for an hour or less. The front of the boot isn't cut low enough for me, so the leather dug in to my shin. I don't know if this would go away with time, but at the cost, and given the fact that I want to wear them in the summer, barefoot, with dresses, I don't want to take that chance.

I purchased these in the black stonewash color and I really loved the look of them. They were a great combination of black + a little tan. It's hard for me to find black leather boots I like because so many look shiny/too dressy for my style. They also had a really flattering dip/cut in front at the ankle. So I absolutely loved them, however they still had to go back due to comfort/fit. All of my Frye boots are size 7 and fit great; however, these were tight in my usual size (and not in an "Oh, they'll stretch a little and fit comfortably" sort of way). Also, I'm still not convinced that going up a size would have helped the comfort issue, something just seemed off in the comfort department, which is why I decided to return instead of go up a size.

The "eggplant" color is really purple. On my monitor, they looked more oxblood, which is what I was looking for. I'm a fan of purple though, and almost kept them anyway, but I couldn't quite justify the price. The style is great. Soft leather. Nice pointy but not-too-pointy toe. Although I felt a slight toe crunch after walking around the carpet for a few minutes, but not terrible. Heel height is 2.75", which is the maximum for a comfortable boot, in my opinion.

This are beautiful boots, but not a good fit for my foot. The toe box is quite narrow, while the heel was wide. My foot was wedged into the boot while the back was slipping up and out with every step.

First order in my usual size 8.5. Had to get a 9.5 to fit, especially in toe box. Pointed toe, but have never had to order 9.5.These run small. Order at least 1/2 size up. I gave 2 stars for overall due to the heel and these are not comfortable. Don't care for material in heel, why didn't they do a regular stack? And the angle is a bit off...would've liked more western heel and the boot would've been more comfy to wear. But they are great looking and I've looked for 2 yrs to find a replacement for my old beige ankle boots. I got the 9.5 so I could wear a thicker sock, which gives me the padding and fit needed to make this boot wearable. I'd like it more if the toe wasn't as dark as it is....all over same color would've looked better, But am keeping this boot and will wear it often. Looks really good on! So thankful for Zappos return/exchange policy which enabled me to get the boot that fit right!

These boots look great but are surprisingly uncomfortable as hell. I can't wear them for more than an hour or so without pain due to the very pointed toe. I have other point toe shoes, so it must be something about the angle of the heel and how it pitches your foot forward into the point. Have worn them out a few times so most likely will give to a friend or relative in hopes they can wear them, it's too late to return them. :(

Beautiful leather, really cute style, great quality as usual for Frye. Pretty much true to size for the fit, but the toe box does not have enough room for me before the point...pinches and hurts my toes. Bummer!

These came in an unmarked box (it said because the original Frye box was damaged). I'm returning the shoe because there are small scuff marks on the leather and I don't like that the toes appear to be darker than the reset of the shoe. They are also pointier than I expected.
