I've been buying these slippers for years (decades??) and live in them. But the last pair were a disappointment. I wear an 81/2-9, but always order a size 8. The latest pair are so roomy on top that I can fit my hand in the space above my foot The sole is the same so sizing is not the problem. I should have returned them but waited too long. Now I'm hesitant to buy another pair.

Shearling appeared to be thin. I like the rubber soles and the color. Poor size fit though.

The slippers that i ordered were too big. I sent them back at my own expense to exchange for a smaller size. They have been backordered for about 4-5 weeks.

Although these slippers are very soft and warm I notice I have lost my balance in them twice in the two weeks I have been wearing them, both times when bending over to reach something. As my balance has not been a problem before I think it must have something to do with the soles not gripping the floor.
They are pretty, warm, and very soft but beware!

The color and style are great. They run very large. At first I thought it was the wrong size, but it was as ordered, but are too big. Comfortable if I wear a thick pair of socks.

Who came up with the DUMB idea to only make slippers in full sizes? I west a 7.5 but cannot get my size. So my choice is to buy a 7 that is to short or an 8 that my foot comes out of with every step, forcing me to shuffle around the house. Other than that I love my slippers.

I bought as substitute for another bean slipper but this one is just as wide. However, with this one, I have accidentally fallen three times. I believe the heels should narrower. I am ambivalent about my recommendation.

I love LL Bean products and store. However, their label placement bothers my skin whether it is sewn in their slipper, the Squam Lake I just bought and have to return now or whether it is the many long sleeved, short sleeved T shirts I have, the label scratches my torso on the side.. cutting them off does nothing. I wish label could be placed in an area not in contact with skin. I wore the slippers for 15 minutes and began to feel pain in both feet where contact with the rather thick label is sewn.

These are different than other LLBean slippers I've purchased. I didn't realize that they weren't like the shearling I've worn for years. They have a stiffer, less soft footbed and the sole is far less flexible. Maybe nice for some but not for me. I won't purchase again.

Disappointed.
It is not uncommon to see reviews claiming that quality has been reduced in a product previously purchased. I often wonder if that is a function of idealized memory, but in the case of these slippers, I have side-by-side comparison to know that it is true for these slippers.
I spend a lot of time in another person's home. 2.5 years ago the owner gifted me with a pair of these slippers to keep for use there. It is such a pleasure to put them on, and feel their soft cushiony warmth. This year I decided to treat myself to a pair to use in my home, too.
I've worn both the old pair and the new pair on the same day, on the same type of surfaces. They are not the same. The construction and appearance is the same--and very nice-- but the cushioning is definitely less in the new ones, even though the old ones have been worn heavily during 3 fall/winter seasons.
I will keep these, but will not likely buy them in the future. For the price, it is very disappointing that LL Bean decided to short customers on cushioning in the footbed.

Purchased elsewhere. Had to return. It felt like I was walking on a roller. Very unsteady. Lacked stability when walking. Would have preferred a flatter sole for stability.

I purchased these hoping they would work out. They were to replace a comfy pair that are worn. But, since they are not available in a wide width, they did nor work out for me.

Received these as a Christmas gift and although they are comfortable initially, I am returning them due to the pain from the wire inside around the top front of the slipper - assume it is to maintain the shape. I have high arches and that wire constricts the top of my foot and becomes painful on wearing. They are lovely and warm but I will exchange for a pair that does not wrap around the top of my feet. I would only recommend these if you do not have high arches.

I love the warmth of these slippers, but they tend to be too wide and are difficult to walk in.

I have worn this style LLBEAN slippers for years and love them. This new pair isn't as good. The inside and fur edging is thinner and not as warm and cozy. I'm disappointed.

Fit good right away. Removed tag in footbed because it was so uncomfortable. After 3 months there is only a small patch of shearling left on left footbed. Right is fine. Of note, they have stretched out considerably in width. I have had to start wearing heavy socks just to keep them on. I had the classic moccasins for years but thought I'd switch to this style. Big mistake.

I wear a 6.5 w in shoes. I ordered a size 6 in this slipper and it felt like it was a whole size larger (more like what a size 7 might be). The heel kept slipping and I felt it was not a safe slipper for me. It looked cute but that is about all the positive things I can say about it.

These are so comfy and warm. I love that I can go outside with them because of the water proof soles. Love these they are perfect for my lifestyle!

These slippers are so pretty, but the brown color seems to have been faded since I bought my last pair 2 years ago. I am disappointed that it now seems to be a muted light brown.

Not as good as they used to be. The faux fur seems less substantial. Just ok.

Even after downsizing, I still felt like it was too clunky, and too hard to get on and off. I originally ordered a size 8, and was really swimming in it. I thought that a smaller size would be easier to walk around in, but that wasn't the case. I live in Japan, so I need to be able to get shoes on and off easily because of tatami mat rooms. I will go for more of a slip on style next time.

My slippers finally arrived. The fur on the right one is pieced awkwardly and looks a bit chewed up. There's even a bare spot as shown in my picture. The backs are quite low on your feet, and feels more like I'm walking on backs that have slipped down, or like a scuff style than going over my heels and keeping them warm

Way large for women's size 9. More like a 10 or 10 1/2

Received my slippers about a month ago, and wearing them daily. The material is wearing down and exposing the footbed already. Seems like the plushness isn't what it used to be, as this isn't my first pair.
