Great quality slipper. Once the fluff inside the slipper flattens it becomes larger in size.

These were cozy slipper and I just love them... but the arch support is not there and will cause me problems. I really really wanted to keep these cozy cuddles but I knew my feet would pay. The shear on the inside is cozy but doesn't suit slipping in an insole. So with much regret... they are to be returned.

The fit is good but there’s not enough heel grip and I fear I could walk out of them and trip, so I’m returning them for a different style.

I've owned 3 pair of these in the last 5 years. I'm a 8 1/2. My first pair was a 9, which stretched and became too big quickly. The next 2 pair were size 8. These have stretched as well, but fit OK. They looked great at first, but then the fleece part started to separate. Very disappointing. These certainly don't last "for years". My last pair is now 9 months old & look worn out.

I had a pair of Squam Lake slippers that I wore for years, so when it was time for a new pair, I was excited to receive them. While the plush comfort is still there and I DO love them still they are NOT the same as in previous years. The heel is MUCH lower than my previous pair, and they are run larger than before. I find myself gripping with my toes to hold them on. They are ALMOST a clog or a backless slipper. I am keeping them, as I've worn them a good bit, the fleece has started to mash down which I knew it would from my my last experience- and that will make them even larger on my foot! They are simply too big now, but I will keep them. I wish I had ordered a size smaller than my regular size. They are still super soft and comfy, but they are NOT the same Squam Lake. Why did you change the design??? It may have saved the company money, but it is unfair to the loyal customers! Bad form, L.L. Bean, bad form.

The slipper is terrific; once I found the right size for me, I like the fit and the feel, but the sizing is really wonky. I read reviews that suggested I might want to order at least a half size down from my usual. Given that I often end up with an 8.5 or 9 shoe, I started with a size 8 slipper, but that one was too large. I ended up with a size 7 slipper (there was no 7.5 available) that started just a tiny bit tight but is gradually easing into a very good fit. The saga of finding the correct size is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5. Good thing I wasn't in a hurry for new slippers.

These are very well made slippers with about as much support as one can expect in a slipper. The length was perfect but the width seems wide for my foot. They actually fit perfect with socks on but in bare feet my feet feel like they are slipping inside. I'm sure the fur lining will compress so we'll see how that affects the fit. Overall I'm satisfied.

I just received two pairs of these. I had a pair years ago in the same basic style. These look great. I put on one pair to try them, just to be sure. The shearling is soft and lovely. Unfortunately, the heel is cut low and I prefer slippers that hug my foot all the way around. I think I will go to a store near me to actually try other styles on for fit. I really like the style and feel of these except for the heel. It is more like a scuff in feel although it doesn't look that way. If you like that, these are a terrific choice.

Very well made, but the low back heel did not work for me. My foot kept slipping out of it and after two knee replacements and one foot surgery, can't afford to fall. Returned it for another type of slipper.

Received my slippers today and am very glad I paid attention to the many reviews stating these run at least a size too big. I am a size 6; ordered size 5 and they fit without being at all tight. Too bad a quality organization (generally) like LLBean can get a simple thing like sizing correct in such a popular item like slippers. My comments about being too large/wide are in regard to what would have been the case had I ordered my usual size 6.

I received these slippers as a gift. I personally have purchased many LLBean slippers for myself, but not this particular style. These slippers look great, nice colors but for me they run big. I take a 6 and 1/2 shoe and these are a 7. They should be a little snug but are very loose. They don't come in a 6 and 1/2.

Ordered Soft Juniper which was on sale, plus a $10 coupon so I hate to return these. They are soft & warm but sized VERY LARGE. I have nerve issues in my feet & can very much notice the decline in LL Bean quality with these slippers. My feet feel like they are walking on sections of cardboard. It may just be me, buf it's very noticeable.

I like this slipper. Wish they did half sizes. These are a little on the large side.

They look well made and they seem to fit well but, I haven't really worn them yet because my old ones haven't worn out yet. If they wear well I would change my score to 5 stars.

I love this style of slipper. Previously I ordered a different color, which fit well. This color slipper seems to be a little bit bigger than the previous color, and I have to wear a pair of socks to absorb the extra room.

Our family has been a BEAN family for ages, and I have not had to give a rating below 5, ever. The Squam Lake Slipper is a slipper I have had my eye on for years. After reading the reviews and the produce write-up, I purchased a size 9, as my standard show is an 8.5, "sizing up" as recommended. The slipper is wonderfully comfortable, toasty warm, and very good looking. However, for those who are thinking of this purchase, I would strongly recommend "sizing down." The size 9 swims on me. I easily could have gone down to a size 8. Highly recommend, but size down.

I wear slippers every day of the year and have searched for years for a pair that was breathable while still being cozy, warm, and durable. This pair was amazing! Size 8 fit true to size and felt like pillows on my feet. I love that this style of slipper with the heel doesn't slip off as I walk and keeps my feet extra cozy because it goes all the way up to my ankle. It's also nice to have a soft sole that's still durable leather but not stiff (soles look pristine after 3+ years of wearing daily). My only complaint is that after a couple years of wearing, the stitching (cotton cording) started coming apart (but that's inevitable for me because I wear slippers so much). Also, they're not supportive so sometimes my foot would slide sideways after they were well broken in. Otherwise, amazing slippers!

Beautiful slippers. They only come in full sizes, and my husband ordered in a size he saw on another shoe - so they are too big for me. Wish I had returned, as I am not wearing them because of this.

Shearling insides are soft and comfortable. Suede outside gets dirty fast, especially the light Juniper color. Next time I'll order tan or brown. And, thank you LLB for not stitching a logo label onto the insole -- I always find those to be scratchy and irritating.
