This is my 2nd base camp duffel - the 1st I purchased over 30 yrs ago - this one is for my son. Last duffel you will ever have to purchase, exceptional quality and durability.

Material seems solid and the bag is more than big enough to hold all of my camping gear. I haven't had a chance to use it out in the wild but I'm sure it will stand up to the typical North Face standards.

It's everything you can expect from a Northface Duffel. The material is good and durable plus the yellow looks great.

WOW! sturdy and a gorgeous color. I can't wait to travel with this bag. In the mean time it fits lots of camping gear and my sleeping bag. All the zippers work easily and seem very tough.

The Duffel Bag XL (in yellow) is not only an absolute eye-catcher, but it's super practical. It fits the exact amount of clothes that was allowed in terms of weight on the long-distance flights and was super easy to carry due to the large comfortable backpack due to the padded handles. Yes it got dirty during the trip, but one wipe with some soap and it all came off without problem. It being so light and easy to store makes the bag an absolute deal-breaker and my favorite - just ordered a second one (in red) for my family!

I love these bags and they're THE BEST VALUE in the market from a $/space standpoint. I've been using my first BC duffel for almost 15 years and aside from being stained, it's in perfect shape (no holes). It has been exposed to every element, been through dozens of airports, and stuffed full countless times. I picked up a new one to hold ski gear and love the storage case + mesh pocket on the inside of one end. Between the generous space, easy-access zippered door, and cinch straps on the sides, these are the best bags on the market!

I don't know what they make these out of but it doesn't seem to mind taking a beating. Great product, simple features, versatile, and many color options for all personalities. What is not to like about this one?

Used on recent trip overseas, and I have to admit, I admire how tough it is. What I didn't like is how hard it was to access items inside because the opening wasn't quite as wide as I had hoped.

Amazing construction but it swallows gear and it's dark in there and hard to find things. I need to pack less. But for real the opening is a challenge to unzip and zip when full, hard to fold back with the shoulder straps on as well to give you full access. Wish there was a shoe/side pocket like the medium on all sizes. Super burley construction though and hope it never needs to be replaced.

I love this duffle it is water resistant large enough for my gear for whatever activity I am engaged in that weekend. The backpack component is very handy for airports or just simply keeping your hands free to carry your kayak or other gear.

I love the new XL base camp bag. I wanted to order the black but inside color is the same as outside so it makes it difficult to find items. I went with the red which is a great color. I use to own the older version of this bag and one of the main differences I miss on the new one is the backpack straps on the old one were stitched with nylon strap the whole distance corner to corner. The new one is has the nylon strap attached at top and bottom only and under heavy load the shoulder straps curl and become narrow where in old version since strap went corner to corner stitched the whole way over shoulder padding it distributes weight better and feels much more sturdy. All in all still a great product.

The X-Lrg is a bit too large for a normal duffel bag that you would travel with, more of a cargo bag. I was comparing it to my bag that I purchased over 20 years ago that was then the largest. I would stick with the Lrg if your looking to travel with it in airports or as normal luggage.
