Love that it can turn into a backpack. Feels super durable. Just wish it had a longer crossbody strap as well (has handles or straps for a backpack). Also love the purple/yellow/green color scheme.

Seems very durable as made of same material as dry bags. It would not be water proof obviously due to zipper. I really like the back pack straps as sometimes a shoulder strap hard to carry. Has a nice case to stow it away in when not in used. This is good if you want to bring it with you on vacation in your luggage to have a bag to bring thing home in. Not many compartments inside. Only 2 mess pockets. This is kind of expected for what the bag is ment for and how is constructed. Looks like will hold up well. Have not had a chance to use and abuse yet.

The bag is very versatile and sturdy. The only downside was the fiasco to try and return this with North Face I originally purchased a smaller size 4 months earlier and it came with a prepaid return label I posted on the package to return for a larger size. It got lost in the mail and north face never received package - I had to call and ask for a refund in order to process & purchase a different size.

Bought this bag for traveling needs. I do a lot of traveling via public transport and flying. So a carry on sized bag and a durable bag was well needed. The strong and water resistant material is helpful in knowing that the bag can be put through anything and will be good to go. Only problem is that this bag does not have duffle bag strap.

Nice and roomy, also has a compression effect to it. I packed three months in my bag.0

I love my bag! Only reason I gave 4 stars is b/c it doesn't have the pocket that can hide the shoulder straps. I bought the same bag last year that has that feature.

Exactly what I expected as I have had other base camp duffles. Not sure the color / design is what I was hoping for after seeing in person. Looks like imagine idk, didn't do it for me in person but still will use it!

It's really good for traveling, but it's hard to open and close. Great product for traveling and camping.

Love the quality of the materials. I just wish there were two side pockets at the ends, instead of just one. Very nice bag overall though.

I love this bag! I have the small and medium sizes and don't think I'll ever need more duffle bags. The small size has a side handle instead of straps to carry and it is perfect. Would love that on the medium as well for ease of carry and quick grabs off of luggage belts since the carry straps are slightly off center on the medium. Overall, the bag to end your shopping for all other duffles.

I love this bag! I have used it for a weekend trip and for a week long trip and it works well for both. I love the backpack straps, I makes it super easy to carry. It's durable and didn't get ripped or torn while flying. The zipper is sometimes hard to zip, but I think it will get better the more I use it. I also love the storage bag that it comes with. Makes for easy storage. 10/10 recommend.

Holds A LOT of stuff. So much that it can be heavy to have on your back after awhile. I still love it though.

I've started using this duffel for longer travel. It looks great and has a super durable material but it absolutely wrecks my back after just a few minutes of wear walking through airports.

I have one from 10 years ago that's great. This updated design is slightly different than the original. I have noticed some quality issues on some recent TNF gear, I hope this isn't the case with this bag.

Large capacity. Not entirely efficient shape. Limited organization (a positive and a negative). Comfortable shoulder straps. I love the simplicity. The design has been around for a long time and could use a refresh. Super durable which also equals heavy.

These North Face Base Camp Duffels are tops when it comes to durability. I bought two-- the medium and the small. I previously had two Patagonia Black Hole Duffels of the same size equivalents. I prefer the Base Camp's tougher fabric and neutral earth tones over Patagonia's gaudy bright-colored fabrics with a plastic-like coating. The Base Camp feels like it's made from the material they make river rafts out of. I haven't scratched or scuffed one yet, and I've tried! I'm deducting two stars, though, because the zippers are hard to work. They keep catching and jamming up instead of gliding smoothly-- and no, there is no fabric is caught in them. Also, the AVIATOR NAVY is **NOT** BLUE!!! I realize that there is a degree of color distortion on computer screens, but these duffels don't even resemble blue. At first I thought they had mistakenly sent me the wrong color, but the tags on the bags confirmed that this was indeed the color I had ordered. Under normal indoor lighting and out in sunlight, Aviator "Navy" is a dark charcoal gray. I actually called North Face and complained about this. If they want to sell this color, fine, but please describe it accurately. I asked the customer service rep how they managed to make the photos of this color look blue? She said they shoot their pictures with powerful spotlights. So be forewarned that if you choose the Aviator Navy hoping to get dark navy blue, you're in for a disappointment, unless you can store the duffel under a spotlight. North Face did reimburse me 10% of my purchase price for this disappointment.

It's okay. I'm not really a huge fan because the bag has almost no structure to it which makes it nearly impossible to pack. The mesh bag that it comes in is useless. The material seems durable and the quality seems okay but the bag itself is just ok. I wish there was more pockets to put little things in.

I'm a big fan of this bag, but the color didn't match the vibrant look in the pictures or as described by the store clerk. In reality, it appeared much duller and lighter. Ended up exchanging it for the red one, which suited my preferences better.
