I recently purchased the burgundy style in 8.5E. I have very flat feet with pronation, 10.5" in length, 4" in width. I find the shoes are a very good fit, if not slightly roomy. The color is a bit darker in person but looks great. The top line is stiff out-of-box and some semblance of padding along the collar would would have minimized uncomfortable rubbing. However, it feels like they'll break-in more. Overall quality is good and the leather should (hopefully) stand a resole or two. So far I am happy with my purchase.

They look nifty, but are a far cry from the shoes that made Allen Edmonds famous and me wearing them for forty years. Their sizing is not consistent with AE's time-honored fit and I had to exchange them. Some time ago, I had to call a service person to repair my Maytag washer, and wondered aloud why I had to call him so soon after purchase, since my previous washer had lasted for decades. "It's not your mother's washing machine," he said and then went on to explain that the family-owned Maytag Company had been sold to a multinational corporation, and that the quality had deteriorated. I suspect something like this has occurred with AE. However, the company seems to be having a continuous on-line sale on its imported dress sneakers, offering forty to sixty percent discounts according to the day or even time of day. With such discounts, the price is about right.

It runs very narrow. Ordered a burgundy pair in 9D is was super narrow and uncomfortable. Took weeks to break in and it's still somewhat uncomfortable. For the next pair I went with the brown in 9E it's much wider than D almost too wide but it fits comfortably. In general this is very comfortable shoe just need to get the width right.
The leather on the burgundy is more subtle it's also stretched around the toe box so it accepts polish. The pebble grain on the brown is more defined. Personally I'm not a big fan. The leather feels very dry looks almost like shrunken grain than pebble.

I love the way the shoes look and fit, but they squeak when I walk.

The shoes were hard for me to break into, and this took a few wears until they felt better. I haven't had this experience with other AE shoes I have purchases. The edges of these shoes where I insert my foot and they meet my ankles were stiff and chafed my ankles for the first few wears. They look very good and hold up but can't give it 5 stars for these reasons

Great looking, but quality inconsistencies. Ordered 9E and the left shoe was 1/4 inch narrower than the right shoe. Really wanted to shoe, so i had to order 6 pairs of 9E to find a pair that truly fits like an E.

Since my employer's dress code has relaxed a bit since the pandemic, I bought these shoes to wear with a more relaxed performance pant. I will say I like the look and styling of the shoes but I wear a 10B and these shoes squeeze my feet so tight that they tingle after a few hours. It also seems the length of the shoe is a little longer than my other 10B Allen Edmonds. Almost like it's a 10-1/2 A width. So watch the sizing when you order. Hopefully mine will stretch and loosen a bit with time.

To make this a five star, these would be great with a matching color sole. It will be tough to polish black/brown shoes with a white sole. Also, a matching sole will look good longer than a white sole and will look more like a regular Park Ave. Otherwise, this is a great idea. Dress shoes have needed to be more comfortable for a long time.

They are too wide. Every pair that I've got they are too wide and my foot slides around. I can't return since I've worn them so I am stuck wearing. They would be comfortable but they are just wide.

Nice looking shoe but wider than my other AE 13B shoes. Have not been able to get the shoe to break-in and causing pain across the top of my feet to point where they are too uncomfortable to wear. I only buy AE shoes but disappointed that I spent considerable money on shoes that I cannot wear.

I'm submitting this review after several miles of city walking so as to give a fair account of my experience. For reference, I typically walk 4 miles round trip from the train station to my office in DC.
These shoes look great. All available kudos goes towards the look of these shoes. They're truly stunners!
However... these shoes HURT, and I mean HURT. Many would agree that Allen Edmonds' "EEE" width shoes typically run a bit more narrow than a EEE shoe made from Rockport or Florsheim, and I expect this from AE, so I don't fault them here, but something about the fit of this shoe - whether it is the width or the length, or even the angle of the tongue - really puts a lot of pressure onto the backs of my heels. Every stride, the hard leather would scrape away at my heel, and if you've ever experienced this, you know how much it can impact your day in a negative way. I tried heel inserts to raise my heel, angling my foot slightly forward, and the heel scraping persisted. I tried heel pads typically reserved for women's high-heels - no luck; pain persisted.
I also tried adjusting the way I was lacing my shoes. I tried a looser lace-up, I tried skipping lace holes for more foot room. NOTHING stopped these shoes from grating my heels until I bled.
I cannot in good conscience recommend these shoes. They really look great though!

These shoes are much more narrow than Park Avenue shoes I have purchased in the past of the same size and width measurement. They are not as comfortable as I expected.

Very disappointed. I own several pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes. The pair of Park Avenues I received are INCREDIBLY squeaky. I wore them for a while, hoping that they would wear in and stop squeaking. Well, they've only gotten squeakier as I've worn them. I've tried a few different things to lessen the squeaking, but nothing has worked. I think I'll have to stop wearing them.

I own over 10 pair of AE shoes currently and they are all the same size. Each shoe fits perfectly as AE has been very consistent in how they measure each shoe. Unfortunately, these shoes simply do not fit. I ordered an E width and got a shoe much narrower than the other E width shoes I own. I would not recommend this shoe until AE sorts out this problem.

Disappointed. Felt thin and cheap. And no arch support. Toe too pointed. Felt like I was trying on cheap ballet shoes. Returned

I ordered my normal size in AE, but this is to narrow. I'll try to exchange them, but I've not gotten around to doing it.

I am truly disappointed with the PA sneaker. I've only worn the shoe twice, but I won't be wearing it further. The first time, my left arch was bothering me within hours of putting them on. I brushed it off and gave it a second chance. I wore the shoes for a full nine hours, in a regular office, carpeted floor. Some walking, but mostly sitting in front of a computer. At the end of the day, the left shoe rubbed on my heel and caused a small cut. I have four PA oxfords, a few boots, several Maritime boat shoes, Strand, shell Leeds, and a couple of Delrays. I liked Allen Edmonds, but this experience significantly puts into question if I will continue to purchase additional shoes from them.

I am a senior in college and just bought my first suit for job interviews. My father has been bragging about his Allen Edmonds shoes that he has back from the 80's, so he bought me a pair of the Black Park Avenue sneakers for Christmas and yes they were on sale. To my disappointment the sole fell off on my first night out, turns out no one stitched it on. So my shoe falls apart, my Christmas present in junk and they can only be replaced at full price since there are no longer shoes in my size available on sale or outlet. So back to shopping.
