Last year I bought a similar pair od sneakers but the laces were fixed and was like slip on shoes. I ordered looking at the photo with the same presumption but found that the laser in this shoe were like ordinary sneakers to be tied. Any how I accepted them .

I like the style of the shoe and the comfort. The only complaint I have is the smallest size available is an 8. That seems to be the case with many of your shoes. They are a bit bigger than I would prefer but I'm stuck because that is the only option. I would purchase more shoes if they came in smaller sizes. I understand I am probably a very small demographic that needs smaller sizes but it would be nice to have that availability.

I have two dress shoes 8 1/2 D which never hurt my feet for literally years. I have tried twice to purchase a casual shoe 8 1/2 M since you dont sell a D size. Both hurt! Turns out since I have a high instep that is the problem. I have installed Dr Scholl custom insoles in another brand of shoe that I already owned. Problem solved. Pleas make the casual shoe to the same standard as the dress shoes I love so much.

Absolutely love J&M shoes. Great quality and very comfortable. The Amherst Knit U-Throat are my daily shoes and I now have 4 pair.

Great shoes. Terrible delivery. Driver likes to leave my packages under the rain gutter soaking virtually every delivery.

Great feeling shoes. I have 2 pair. Recently walked on short wet grass and my heal inside my shoe got wet. Did it with both pairs. Not sure how that's happening but disappointed.

Very comfortable. Feels "broken in" right out of the box. Easiest wearing shoe I have ever owned.

I am an ER nurse and am on my feet all day. These shoes are light and comfortable. The only reason it's 4 stars instead of 5 is that I like to tie my laces. These only come with the elastic for slip on, do I had to change them out.

The shoes look great but they dont feel great. We had high expectations from a brand of Johnston Murphy where quality and comfort are of utmost importance. We returned and hope that we get a full refund.

Casual and comfortable

Little stiffer than I thought! Wear without socks but got sore heel until wore a few times with socks and stretched them a little! Very good looking and comfortable after the initial problems! Highly recommend especially on sale!!

I ordered my standard size and it was a bit small, so the company was very helpful in taking my ordered pair in at the local store and sending me the next larger size!! Very. Nice!

Good looking nice and light . Good quality feels great Only negative is may not have the support I need with out adding an insole which will change the soft feel.

I have arthritis in my feet so having the u throat slip on help with the swelling of my feet end of my day at work ..

Shoes feel light and comfortable. The almost-problem is that they are borderline too small in both length and width. Barely fit without socks. Too much hassle to return and go up in size.

My husband has a pair of black shoes like this and loves them. SHHH hes getting two more pair for Christmas! Dont tell him!!

Love these shoes but wish they came without the pull-tongue at the heel.

I returned a pair of Amherst Knit U-Throat about 2 weeks ago. I received a replacement pair from Johnston & Murphy about 2 weeks later. The replacement pair feels as good as the original. Thus far the original issue that caused the return has not re-appeared--which was a shoestring eyelet breaking during lacing up the shoe. An improvement I would ask Johnston & Murphy to make to these stylish comfort-type shoes is to improve the cushioning. I see that in Johnston & Murphy's latest catalog they have done this for a new line of these types of shoes. I haven't purchased a pair of the new line yet so I don't have an opinion or experience as to how well they compare to the category leader in comfort shoes (HOKA). I would love to have Johnston & Murphy shoes feel as good or better! Then I'd have STYLE and COMFORT.

I bought two pairs Blue/brown and gray/brown, both fit well and look good. The only negative was I thought little high priced. Shipping went good as well.

Nice looking shoe, but I was disappointed by its flimsy feel, uncomfortable fit and hard inner sole. My new pair of New Balance sneakers felt snug and comfortable from the start. I'm sending the J&M Amhersts back and keeping the new balance shoes. I have liked the J&M dress shoes over the years, but not these.
