The composite toe is too narrow! Because of the other reviews on here, I bought "wide," though I don't typically wear a wide shoe. Even so, the boots were rubbing on my outer toes and I couldn't wear them. The boots, otherwise, are very nice. But, there isn't much of an insole padding and certainly no room to add insoles. I bought them because I like the style and brand but, if you're looking for a reliable, comfortable work shoe, look elsewhere.

Style is great but it's narrow and felt a half size smaller than I expected.

They look great and are very comfortable aside from the narrowing toe design flaw. The composite toe is not consistent with the rest of the foot’s width. Undoubtedly you should order a half size larger than your regular size.

Felt like the boot got wider but the composite toe was just as narrow as the standard size. It was not wide enough and pinched my feet. I like the look of the boots but they were very uncomfortable.

I was hesitant about getting Timberlands for work, as I know they take a while to break in, and I should have trusted myself in not getting them. These boots have left me in absolute pain and discomfort, even after I’ve stopped wearing them. A total of two and a half days I wore them, and they’ve bruised around my ankles, and my feet in absolute discomfort, (even after taking them off and not continuing to wear them). I was hoping that they’d break in a little faster, but I don’t think that’s the case. Just save your feet the trouble.

I like the style of this boots, I order my size (10 1/2), but the composite safety toe is too narrow, so I returned it, and I ordered this time the wide size. Now I tried the wide size (10 1/2) but the composite safety toe is still too narrow. Next time I will try half size larger and width option: wide.

I love the way they look, BUT, the fit isn’t good for me at all. I ordered 7.5, but they felt like they were 6.5-7. The composite toe absolutely squishes my toes, and I’m in for a rough day if I wear long socks. You NEED long socks if you’re sweating, otherwise the leather will shred your calves. They are SOOO heavy, they 100% aided in my constant foot and leg pain. On top of that, it feels like there is no cushion, especially for high arched feet. Definitely wouldn’t be able to fit any kind of supports in them unless you sized up, which also has its own issues.

I wear 10 women’s so I ordered a 10 wide. The second I put my foot in, I knew the boots were a no. But, it took a little bit for the sides to soften and felt better although the safety toe is not wide at all. Wore them for a 10 hour standing shift and got blisters. The boot itself is huge inside but TOE IS NARROW and digs into little toes. No arch support.

Hey! I ordered a 7 in men’s and they were too small. I’m normally a 7 in boys. And a 8.5/9 in women’s. I need to reorder the 7.5 in men’s.

This is my 3rd time trying this boot, they are very hard and stiff, no mobility whatsoever with your feet inside of these shoes. It’s extremely uncomfortable, my feet started cramping up in them and they are a bit heavy! I will be returning them!

I think there are excellent boots, timberlands are always reliable which is why I buy them and repurchase them although I would recommend buying a half size up and wide due to the composite making way too curved and will crush your toes halfway through your "I believe that Timberland boots are of excellent quality and reliability, which is why I continue to purchase them. However, I would recommend buying a half size up and getting a wider fit due to the composite material being too curved, which can cause discomfort and even crush your toes during long shifts." shift.

Quality is great as far as the material is concerned, however they run more on the narrow side and I don’t think they will stretch at all because the material is pretty thick. The steel toe of the shoe is very uncomfortable.

The design of the boot is OK. Take my vote for: 1. get 1 size bigger from your original foot size. 2.Get "W" option if you feel like you have wide foot.
I'd also recommend:
