So I've ran in Mizuno Wave Sky for probably 10 years. It's my running show. This Mizuno Wave Sky 5 is more rigid around the ankles thank the previous versions. It's so rigid, in fact, that the shoe opening near the ankle is rubbing my ankle and it hurts. I think it's way too rigid. They need more padding around the foot insert like they used to have. I'm really dissapointed. 2 weeks after running in this shoe I'm probably returning because of this.
Regarding the shoes overall for the run, it's got great springy cushioning and is a light shoes construction. Looks great too.

I owned the previous generation of Wave Sky (4) and loved them. This version is painfully small. I ordered the exact same size and width as my last pair. My feet are smashed and I have to untie them to keep my feet from falling asleep. I will return to find a different pair of Muzuno shoes.

Fit and fell great. Didn't like the look, though, so bought the light gray ones, which aren't great looking either, but better.

I really wanted one of the sky 4 models, but it was sold out. However, my main focus was cushion, so I went with the blue sky 5. Not my favorite design, but they look fine and the fit and comfort level is off the chart! Mizuno is my first choice in running shoes. These are pricey, but my feet love ‘em!

I’ve ran in the Wave Sky for a decade. The wave sky 5 is too rigid around the ankle. It seriously hurts where the shoes hits the ankle. What did they do with all the cushioning from the previous versions. I might have to return.
The spring bounce cushioning is good (less than previous versions) and the color grey looks nice. But darn, too rigid.
Also, seems a little snug.

Great support and running shoe. Fit a little tight at first and don't work with third party orthotics without rubbing your heel raw.

Stable with fair amount of return spring. Not as cushioning as Waveknit Sky 4

Mizuno running shoes generally runs a half size smaller. This was no exception. The Sky 5 is a tad tighter in width but I’m sure they will stretch out. I’m happy with the shoes. I only jog a little and will mostly walk with the Mizuno Sky 5.

Fit seems true. Width may be a little tight, possible they would stretch, with time. For a light to moderate workout I did not care for these. Treadmill, stair master, running track, weight lifting - light to moderate intensity, two hours duration. For me the cushioning, the support - the comfort seems lacking. I do have flat feet, others may like.

Ovrall the shoe was ok. I particularly like the heel support of Mizuno's;, however, the toe box was noticeably smaller than the last pair in the same size. The suggestion is to go up 1/2 a size, but the length of my shoe was perfect and I'm afraid going up may affect the lenght.

the shoe was way too wide, it felt unstable and generally uncomfortable. I even almost sprained my ankle because they arent stable at all. Absolute waste of money and Ill never buy Mizuno again.
