I had always wondered why Chuck Taylors were so popular, but that was before I actually purchased a pair. These are very well made: the uppers are thick, the tongue is connected to the shoe by this wide elastic so that when you put them on, the tongue doesn't bunch up (and then you have to pull it back down again). I love the suede feel and I get a ton of compliments when I wear them! These shoes are not known for arch support, so if you need that you'll need to keep that in mind. These shoes are really for fashion, not heavy walking anyway. I love them.

Already getting compliments from different ages (16year old daughter, 45y.o. peer). Fit well, cool looking. Love them! Only complaint is that converse always feel flat to me, so i wear them with insoles.
