I have these exact same shorts in black, and for some reason the lighter wash fit differently. I ended up having to size up so it would fit my waist, but now the fit on the thighs is just a little too loose. Strange how the fabric changes things. It's a great style for those of us with larger hips/thighs compared to our waists, though!
