I love this shoe,as it is easy to slip on and keeps your feet very dry. i have a very narrow foot; even ordering the narrow width is a little loose on my heel. I have a pair of the laceups and they are also great and fit a narrow foot better.

It was hard to get the correct fit but with your Free Shipping you made it easier. We have lots of rain here and the rubber moc is just the thing for these wet days.

Practical, outdoorsy stylish, runs large, best to wear with heavy socks. Yes love L L Bean made in USA footwear!

I like the shoes alot. Good for wet weather. However, they are sized large. So it would probably be a good idea to size down.

These shoes run very large to accomodate heavy socks so be sure to read the sizing instructions before you finalize your order. They are very durable and do a great job of keeping my feet warm and most importantly dry, in the rain and snow. They are a great value and the most important feature is that they are MADE IN THE USA!!

I have had boots like these before and they last a very long time. Good thing I read reviews and ordered one size smaller than my shoe size. They would be perfect with a furry lining in them.

These duck shoes run too big. I always wear a size 10 woman's shoe in everything. I returned them for a size 9 that fits perfectly. When I returned them in person, the LLBean employee said she bought a pair and they were too big as well when she bought hers. Why don't you put that information online and in your catalogs? It should be stated that they run big. Returning things is not fun!

I ordered this item based on other reviews and ought to have followed the advice of someone who suggested not ordering a size larger...I Did order the next size up and I must wear heavy socks so they will not slip. Live and Learn.

After 30 years, I thought it was time for a new pair. I ordered the same size and width but the shoes run larger these days. Fortunately there is a store in IL, so I tried on a full size smaller. These are great boots, I love them!

I purchased these boots to wear while gardening in the morning when grass is very wet. The boots are sturdy, comfortable and keep my feet warm and dry. I agree with other reviewers that when ordering, order one size smaller than what is normally worn. (I wear a 7 and ordered a 6.) These are great boots for what I purchased them for.....great in wet weather and feet stay warm & dry! I'm happy with my purchase.

I normally order wide shoes because of water retention in my feet and ankles but these were way too big. Back they go!

I really like these boots - they are just what I was looking for. They run large, as explained in the product information, and ordering a smaller size is recommended. I usually wear a size 6 and unfortunately there is no size 5. I put in some gel heel cushions and pulled the laces as tight as I can so they don't flop off my heels, and I think they will be ok. If they came in a size 5, they would be perfect!

Since I'm a very thrifty person, I chose these rubber shoes when I actually wanted the ankle boots. Anyway, these shoes are fine for their purpoase. IMHO they do run a little big so don't order 1/2 size larger

Just received these and had to go a size smaller. They run big. Can't wait to use them in rainy weather. Not sure the tread on the bottom will be good for ice . Last pair lasted 15+ years.

i normally wear a size 10 shoe, but after reading the reviews and seeing that they run big i decided to order a 9 regular width. when i got them they fit well with thin socks, but i remember thinking "darn! i wish they had a 9.5 because i'd like just a LITTLE more room...". so i decided to compromise and i exchanged them for a 9 wide width. i've only worn them twice so far and i'm having a little rubbing at the ankles, but it's hard to tell if they just need to be worn in a little bit more or if it's going to be a constant problem. other than that they are very comfortable! i walk two miles a day, so hopefully they'll wear in nicely.

Order a size smaller than usual - they run long. Like the narrow size offer but it is still wider than I like.

Great for wet grass, which was the main reason I bought them. Will also be good in slushy, cold weather. The heel is a bit wide & slips, but I think I can deal with that. It might help if your description said they're meant to be worn with heavier socks.

These shoes are sturdy, great for rain. I have worn my old Ducks for years and decided to splurge on a replacement pair. But even though I ordered my regular size, 8W (I wear either an 8W or an 8.5 R) they were so gigantic it felt like I had put shoeboxes on my feet. I walked out of them, and sent them back with that information. I'm still waiting to hear, but the package may not have arrived yet. If you order, you may want to send an outline of your foot, or call first. Even heavy socks wouldn't keep them on.

I followed the advice of earlier reviewers and chose the next size down from my normal size. They fit like a AA narrow and I am a quad A and will wear thick socks and pull the tie tight. They fit fine with these adjustments.

I like the boot very much. I ordered a half size larger then I usually wear so that I could wear heavy socks if I had to wear them in the snow. They are still very big on my foot and slip off. I really need my own size.

As other reviewers said, these are great all-weather shoes, but run large. I wear a 6 1/2, so I ordered size 6, the smallest available and it's too large. I am going to try De Scholls inserts or ask if a boy's size might fit!

I wanted shoes that would keep my feet dry and comfortable while doing outdoor work here. It is usually quite damp here in autumn especially. These fit the bill. I liked that these shoes were USA made, had good gripping soles, and their own panache to boot. I ordered 1 size down as suggested. That may have been a bit short in the toe, had I kept them. I returned them because the heel of the shoe sat too low/loose on my heel. There was no way to keep my heel in the shoe.

I am very, very happy with this pair of boots. I bought them so I could bring my dog outside in the yard in the morning when the grass is always still wet. I normally wear 7.5 narrow and purchased size 6 narrow upon the recommendations of reviewers: they are perfect! Remember that these are also adjustable with the leather ties. Now I wear them doing errands around town in the rain, too. It's so nice to be equipped for the elements! Rating only 4 stars because they should be normally sized without buyers having to read reviews first.

I purchased these shoes a month ago. They are very well made, stylish, and seem durable. However, like previous reviewers have stated, these shoes run very large. I did order the wide width because I have very wide feet. I also went down one full size. They are still HUGE! Even with socks they feel loose. 90% of the time I have the opposite problem, and even wide width shoes are just barely wide enough. These are truly WIDE width. If you are borderline between normal and wide width feet, I'd stick with normal when ordering. I'm too lazy to return, so I'll just deal with it. You can't really tighten them with the laces. Guess I'll be layering socks!
