I'd been looking for a slip-on rain shoe since my Sperry's wore out. I ordered a 7 (usually wear a 7.5) and they were WAY too big! I took them back and tried a 6, which seemed ok in the store, but after walking a little, were not comfortable, either. They were almost perfect in the length, but the width of the heel was SO big, I couldn't get them to feel comfortable no matter how much I tightened the laces. Also, the side of the shoe hit me right at my ankle bone, so caused a blister after just a couple minutes. I'm returning them.

I own the Women's 8" LL Bean boot with thinsulate lining in a size 9W and they fit me really well...it is my 2nd pair. I ordered these shoes thinking they would fit the same way. Wearing them with a pair of LLB winter socks they all but fall off my feet. I have a wide foot and usually wear a 9-1/2 or 10 wide. If I wear them with a pair of the thickest winter socks that I have they do fit better but these socks are too heavy for everyday wear. Also the leather laces do not stay tied, must double tie them and still loosens up. I think the laces are stretching. The tongue on the shoe has a poor design and buckles when I try to tie leather laces tighter. Because the heel of the moccasin is so wide, when I walk in them my heel won't stay in the shoe. After reading other customer reviews I am not going to attempt to try to order a smaller size which may or may not fit. Half sizes might help the fit issue that so many customers have. These will be returned. LLB needs better quality control.

I have narrow feet & was therefore beyond excited to find a "rain shoe" offered in a narrow width! I ordered a full size smaller, as the website directed. The length was fine, but the heel was so wide that I couldn't even begin to keep the shoes on as I walked. Soooo disappointing!!!

I really loved the item but the sizing and the cut is way off. The size 7 was so small and tight and the 8 was so big on my heel it even kept slipping when I had heavy socks on. This is probably the first disappointment I have received from LL Bean. The reviews that I read were spot on.
Thank you

I loved these boots, but they were so wide in the heel area that even putting adhesive pads in the heel area didn't help. I do not have narrow heels, so had to return them. They were exactly what I wanted except for the fit. There was information on the web page that there were problems with the fit. I had a pair of these many years ago, and the fit was good.

I've owned these bean boots before. They were Sherpa lined although a little large. Having to replace them after about 20 years, they no longer have the Sherpa lining and it's been impossible to find the right size. I wear a 6 1/2 wide. I've purchased a 6 wide. Too big! I've purchased a girls size 4. No width option. Too tight! I've purchased a 6 medium. Too long! I now have a 5 medium. Too tight! I'm thinking I need a 5 wide. Not available! I quit! I'm returning this pair and giving up!

They were way too big and wide. While you provide free shipping to get them I had to pay $6.50 to return them. Since the size was so wrong and I had to pay shipping I just returned them and won't buy from LL Bean online again.

I have had my LL Bean Boots for over 30 years and love them, but now that I live in FL the full boots are too warm. I thought the rubber Moc would be the perfect solution. But, despite buying narrow, the heel is so wide I walk out of them. The seam between the rubber and the leather is very coarse and rough (not at all like old boots) and causes blisters. I tried adding moleskin, shearling liners, everything I could think of, but they still hurt and fall off. And can anyone explain that tongue design??? I only can wear for short walks. This design needs a serious rethink.

I have narrow feet. I was excited to see these mocs offered in a narrow. These are made with a narrow toe box, but the heel feels just like any other Bean boot heel. I really don't think they narrowed it at all. I don't mind having extra room in the toe box- I actually like it. But the boot needs to stay on my feet! Sadly these didn't.
Aside from the heel not being narrow on the size narrow, it is a high quality shoe, and I really did like them.

I read the reviews and information on sizing, so I knew to order a smaller size than I usually wear. I'm normally a 9 or 9.5. I ordered the 8 and was walking out of them. I went to a brick and mortar store to return them and try a different size. I sized down to a 7, which was too small. The sales clerk suggested trying the 8 again, but with an insert. That made the front of the shoe too tight. The wideness is in the back of the shoe where the heel is. I was very disappointed that there was no solution. Enough customers have complained about this in the reviews that it's obviously a widespread problem. It would be great if L. L. Bean would make this shoe in half sizes, as I suspect a 7.5 might have worked if that had been an option. L. L. Bean, please listen to your customers who are asking for half sizes in this shoe.

Didn't fit properly. Getting satisfaction from LL Bean was very time consuming. Replacement that finally came was better.

I love Llbean and have a bunch of there other products but these simply do not work. I wear them on days when it's sprinkling or there is a little water left over from a rain (I have Llbean higher boots for real downpours) but these are not waterproof. Socks are soaked after wearing. Was bought by my mom and she lost the receipt so can't return them but hoping to save someone else from wasting $100.

I ordered the size per your instructions and it did not fit at all. If you make shoes that do not fit according to normal sizes perhaps you should then have free return shipping. The stitching also made the fit uncomfortable

These shoes were grossly oversized. I'm not sure if these shoes were miss marked or if this is an accurate sizing. They fit like clown shoes. I've returned them and ordered a smaller size.

I love these booties...but tried the 6 (I'm typically a 7.5 and it suggested to go down 1.5 sizes), which was too short; so got the 7, WAY too big. Then, on the recommendation of someone in a store who said they're custom so may be some variability, I ordered another 6, also too short. I really wish you'd make these in 1/2 sizes since a 6.5 would be perfect, and my guess is other people are having the same issues.

I never received the size I ordered after three tries. The Mocs are sized differently from Bean's boots so I could never get a fit. I ordered nine w. Way too big. Then 8 W too wide, then an 8m and I got nines twice. I gave up.

I have a 6M in the six inch boot but in this moc, I need the 5M. I tried 6 narrow but it really is the length that is the problem. Narrow, medium and wide are true to size, but if you normally wear a 6.5 or 7, order a 5.
Two thumbs down for discontinuing the size 5M in tan/navy. A women's 7 is not an unusual size LL Bean.

I wanted to love these shoes. As a gardener, I need to slip shoes off to come into the house and then step back into the shoe to return to work...I thought these would be perfect. I read the reviews and I normally wear a 6.5 to a 7 shoe so I ordered down to a 6. Too big. Exchanged the shoe for a 5 (and was billed $6.50 to return the first ill fitting - miss sized shoe). Alas, the 5 did not fit AGAIN. So sadly I will be returning those, as well. Way to wide and the big toe rubbed the top of the shoe so it was very uncomfortable. Until LL Bean corrects the sizing on these shoes I won't be trying another as I am penalized $6.50 to return these too. SO I have now spent $13 and still no shoe. Not a happy gardener today.

I really wanted these boots to work. I wear a size 8.5N, so I followed the advice that they run large and ordered the size 7 N. The width was fine, but the length was a tad too short with warm socks. I tried taking out the insole and replacing it with a thinner one, but they were still too small.
I then ordered the 8N and these were way too big.
Sadly, both pairs were returned. The quality seemed excellent and I'm sure they'd be the last rain boots I'd ever need if LLBean could improve the sizing.

Very disappointed and returned these shoes. I ordered a size down as the reviews said the shoes ran large. Ordering a full size smaller, the length was ok. But the heel was so wide that the shoes would not stay on. The shoes were what I was hoping for in terms of sturdiness and given the price they should have been, but the fit was terrible. Unsatisfactory.

It pains me to do this, because I love LLBean. However, I had to return these boots. They were way too big, and I even ordered a size down. Also, the way they fit was so uncomfortable. Even if they had fit properly, the boot comes right to where your ankle starts. It would've been hard on the ankle. I am pleased that I got a quick, full refund.

The heel is way too wide (no choice of heel width) and slips uncomfortably. The side is so high it has rubbed my ankle bone raw. Worst of all, the red dye permanently stains my socks when I walk thru wet grass. My husband swears by his mocs and wears them all the time but I can only wear mine for a few minutes.

I purchased these to work in the garden and run around in the rain. I had a pair of cheap knock-offs that were not comfortable due to the heel being too short on the length of the foot of the shoe so I decided to go for the real thing. Unfortunately, the hard leather/rubber seam surrounds my foot and digs into my upper foot even with heavy socks thus, making it very uncomfortable so I can only wear them for 30 minutes or less then I have to use the cheap knockoffs. I wear a size 8M and the shoe is wide so my foot slides around, but I can't tighten it with the leather cord as the shoe is not flexible and the leather cord is too flimsy to really tighten it. It also lacks any arch support or padding to make it comfortable for long-term use. Very bad design. I'm very disappointed in this product as I've had other similar styles and different brands that were cheaper and more comfortable. I think they are made for durability, but not for comfort. They will last me a long time as I can't wear them often. Wish I could return them but I've worn them outside.

Front of rubber moc fit perfectly - the heel part was so big I could have fit both heels in one moc. Very badly proportioned - just because the front of the foot is wide, doesn't mean the heel is also! Too bad the consumer has to pay for the return of such poorly constructed items. I won't be that stupid in the future! (Yes, they were returned!!!)

I was enthusiastic about these shoes. I read reviews about ordering a size smaller and even spoke to a customer Service agent. I wear a women's size 10 and so, ordered an 8. I still had an inch and a half gap at the heel!
I returned them.
