I was gifted this slipper over 15 years ago and they lasted for many years. Full disclosure I abused them and wore them outside in the country a lot. When they were pretty thrashed I machine washed them and eventually the rubber soul came off and I threw them out. Because they were a gift I couldn’t remember what size they were. I decided to order a new pair and went back and forth between size 8 and 9. I’m a size 8.5 to 9 sometimes. I have been ordering size 9 in boots more often. Reviews mostly said they ran big but a few said they ordered a size down and they were too tight. I have wide feet especially in the toe bed. I went with a size 8 and was really worried they would be snug. Some reviews said they stretched with wear and I wanted to make sure they weren’t too floppy and big. Size 8 was the right size for me. They even slip a little in the heal but you can tighten the drawstrings and that makes them perfect. They fit very true to size on me not tight at all. They are so soft and comfortable and the quality is amazing. I will take better care this time around and not wear them outside as often. The only thing I would say is a downside is that they are low profile and don’t cover the top of your feet. If you live somewhere very cold I’d consider a slipper that goes up over the ankle a little more.
