I bought these slippers to replace ones I had years ago. However, the fleece has been changed. Instead of the lovely soft fleece of the older shoes, the fleece is cheaper and, worse that that, scratchy.
It's a pity as I *loved* the other shoes. They were so very comfortable in the winter. These - are not. I wear them if I must, but usually I chose some other slipper to wear.
I'd rather they'd have kept the original fleece and charged a bit more than held the price the same and used much inferior fleece.

Well made but so ugly on. Made my foot look like a barge. Returned.

Ordered first pair and stitching came apart within the first two weeks. Exchanged for a second pair, exact same thing happened. Sent back for full refund.

They just don't last. I've had this pair 7 months. The lining is completely worn down to nothing on the inside. I splurged on these on a recommendation from a friend but for what they cost, they should hold up much longer.

They have NO support, feel like I'm walking barefooted on cement. The shearling is very thin and falling out in tufts. I've only had them on my feet an hour. I'm so disappointed because I was looking forward to them. First LLBean product to let me down.

These are definitely not the same quality slippers as they were six years ago. The shearling seems much cheaper in quality, and each fiber is shorter than they used to be. It's not as plush and thick as it was on my old slippers. I'm also skeptical of the construction lasting for more than a year or two. It's a shame, because these were my go-to slippers. I feel like many people have posted similar comments, but the quality has not improved at all since people started voicing their concerns. Please Bean, go back to how you used to make these slippers ten years ago. I don't want to have to find a new brand to keep my feet warm in Upstate NY winters. For reference, I'm a true size 6 and have always had to purchase these specific slippers in a size 5 due to the slipper molding to your foot as a normal part of wearing them.

These shoes are one of my favorite shoes that l own. When l bought these llbean had a life time which is why l bought these even though the price was higher than it is today. One day as l was tightening the laces of the shoe the side of the holes where the laces come out ripped. Knowing that these had a lifetime warranty l wasn't upset because l knew that llbean could be trusted even when u was younger l would always have llbean jackets because when they ripped l could get a new. When l went to the store the sales lady blamed the consumers for misinterpreting the 'lifetime' warranty even though l specifically recall it saying lifetime warranty in every magazine.
-a very angry customer

I bought a pair of these for my daughter as I have always liked the way their product lasts.....well after 4 weeks the slippers fell apart where the top meets the sole. When I brought them back to the store with my receipt....they said they were too heavily worn!! How can a slipper that is worn for 2-3 hours a day be heavily worn after 1 month? I was furious! When I got home, called customer service and they were very nice and sent me a new pair and I returned the defective ones.....well after 2 weeks....the stitching on top of the slipper is coming apart!!
I can fix that....but should not have to after 2 weeks!!
I will be shopping else where from now on and spreading the word.

I have been an L.L Bean customer for many years. I currently own a pair of the Women's Wicked Good Mocs which I had purchased last year for $69. There is a defect with my slippers, and the skin on top ripped where the laces are, and when I asked customer service, I was told that I would be charged an extra $10 for another pair because the price has gone up, even though it is a defect in the quality, and according to most ratings as well as my experience with these slippers, the quality has gone way down. I am thoroughly disappointed and will not be returning.

Very disappointed in overall quality and fit. Have worn these for years. Now the Lining is no longer lambs wool but something artificial so not as worm. The fit was very pinched. And the change is that they are no longer MADE IN VERMONT. What a disappointment. Shame on Beans for allowing another country to make these and ruin Beans reputation for excellence.

I've been a wearer of these slippers for years, having gone through several pairs and loving them. However my most recent pair bought late last year -- but that were only lightly worn -- are a real disappointment. I recently went to wear them and found that the shearling has shed so much that there are big ugly bald spots on the outside rim where it should always be fluffy. For example, on the back of one, above the heel, it's almost completely bald! That has never happened before.
I did an internet search pertaining to shearling care to find out what the problem might be and found that if the shearling leather is tanned improperly that it might shed badly; otherwise it should NOT fall out.
So not happy with these. :(

I've had multiple pairs of these slippers over the past 10 years- my original pair were awesome- just got gross from regular use for years and began to finally wear through the sole. I bought another pair and have been so disappointed since. They quality has decreased significantly since my first pair. Now I'm Lucky if they last 6 months of light indoor only wear. I've brought them back to the store multiple times as a result and they have kindly been replaced but each pair continues to fall apart within 6months time. The lining falls out and wears away, stitching comes undone and they stretch out so much that they no longer stay on my feet (tightening ties causes them to cut into heel due to no more padding left). Anyways I brought back to store again and was told they no longer will honor this product because of multiple returns. I was disappointed because the only reason I would bring these back is for defects- not normal wear and tear. Again my first pair are in better shape than the new ones after 10 years, just unsightly. I am not trying to abuse the good guarantee llbean is known for, just expect slippers like this, at this cost would last longer. I no longer would recommend this product which is sad because they used to be the best slippers!

I've purchased these slippers in the past and they lasted for two years. I believe there has been some changes or "improvements" to this product - but the changes seem to reflect inferior design and construction. I bought a new pair after my very old slippers had finally worn through in the heel. I also recommended these slippers to two friends. Not only did my slippers fall apart around the moccasin stitching, but both of my friends' slippers fell apart as well. It was a very embarrassing situation...

I am so upset. I don't treat myself to many extravagant things, but I so look forward to my new pair of Wicked Good Moccasins. Used to be they were like a spa in a slipper. When I opened this pair, I noticed right away how light they were. The supposed shearling lining is now wiry and slight. It no longer has that "aahhhh" effect when putting on. The padding on the soles much thinner. I don't know what I will do, this was my one happy place. I am going to try to exchange for another color, (I got the brown on brown), maybe it's the color? Hopefully I will get an older batch. Also I noted they now run a bit larger and wider, with more give. I will keep you posted on whether the other colors make a difference. Fingers crossed.

I bought these slippers as a present for my mother. I know that generally, these are great slippers. My Dad has a pair and loves them. My mom wears my dad's all the time and that is why I bought her a pair.
Unfortunately, the pair my Mom received were misshaped in the one of the feet. She plans on exchanging them, but I am discouraged that she has to deal with the hassle of exchanging the present. We usually are very impressed with LLBeans's quality.
