Sizing is inconsistent. I ordered the same size and style I had been wearing for years but the new ones were too small. I tried to break them in for a month but they were too short and too narrow. Sent them for exchange yesterday.

Ok, these have been my favorite slippers, I buy a pair every year because I wear them every day. This past Christmas I bought them. The string ALWAYS comes untied and one day I stepped on it chasing my kid and it ripped the leather completely. I message LL Bean, send back for an exchange because it had barely been 3 months, and they said no, that it was my fault it ripped. But she had just acknowledged the design fault of the tie not staying tied. Very unsatisfied with this customer service and moving onto another brand for the next 10 years.

Would give a five-star but you don't sell the blue slipper in a wide width come on...

Run large. Size down! I am a true 8.5. Got an 8 and my feet actually flop out of them!

I bought these for my wife for Christmas 2020 and she loved them. Great fit, comfortable, wore them in the cooler months almost daily - so they definitely got some love. After about a year, the side wall tore away from the sole. It seemed like a defect to me, but was informed it was wear and tear, so would not exchange. Disappointing - LLBean usually has good quality and return policy

The slippers are not meant for wide feet. They are very nice but need to be wider.

These were a replacement for a brand that also uses shearling. Since this was a less expensive option, I tried them. They are warm and the fit is accurate. However, there is no support. After a few months of wearing them, I feel like there is nothing between my foot and the floor. The slippers are great for wearing while watching TV, but not for doing very much walking around the house. I would recommend them for warmth, but I will not purchase another pair. I do think one season is all I will get from these slippers.

They are the best slippers I have ever worn. Within the year, the fluff had worn away in spots so that I am walking on the harder pad. It is better when I wear socks, but then snug. A few months later, I noticed a hole on the side of the slipper where the baby toe is. The material definitely wore thin quickly. For the price, that is unacceptable. My little toe gets caught. I loved them, but paying that price every couple of years is not happening. I thought the quality would allow more time....

I wanted to order a size 11 Wide but size 11 was/is not offered in Wide so I decided to try a 10 Wide. But even it did not seem wide to me, at least not wide enough for my toe spread. It might be OK for someone else, but in my opinion it is a bit of a stretch for these to be labelled "wide". I would love to see these offered in a "square toe" version, incidentally. It is true (as others have noted) that when viewed from above you cannot tell the difference between right and left. But you can turn them over to examine the sole to figure out which is which. (Not that they are marked as R and L, but you can see the slightly greater inward curve where the foot's inner arch is). After I did that I was able to use the position of the slightly awkwardly located size tag inside the moccasin for future reference. In the pair I received, the tag was on the inner arch side of the moccasin. Due to the too-narrow-for-me width, I will be returning these in exchange for the slightly different Men's version (which does not have the fluff on the exterior and which I do not need), which looks to offer wide widths in possibly a size that will work for me.

I sized up following recommendations for half sizes and the fit was ok at first but a month in I need to wear socks with the slippers to keep them on my feet. Disappointing. However, I think they are very well made and sturdy as well as comfy so I ordered another pair a size down.

Oh LL Bean, not you too. I have been wearing these slippers for over 20 years and the last three pairs the quality has gone down hill with each purchase. My first pair last 7 years. The pair just before my recent purchase one year and the shearling had worn off in areas. Very disappointing as the new pair also seems to have the shearling in pieces, not one piece as before molded to the shoe. Please improve your quality to what it was previously on these and all your products.

I have been wearing wicked good moccasins for over 20 years but now they seem to be much wider on your foot and I ordered the mediums. I don't know if they've changed suppliers who make them

I love these slippers but the stitching came apart on the first pair. Hoping my replacements last a long time!

first pair ripped on the top after 1-2 weeks of wearing. they sent a new pair but now this pair is too tight. Now I have to go to the store to try on and exchange. Just annoying. The slipper itself is comfy and warm but the sizing I found to be small.

Very comfortable, very warm, but there is an annoying feature that brought rating down to 3 stars. The width fit is controlled by a cheap leather tie that must be tightened to keep slipper on the foot (shown as "bow" in image but it's not just cosmetic). It is doesn't stay tied and is on the verge of fraying after only 3 weeks. So they cheaped out on a critical component of an otherwise great slipper.

The size 7 medium slippers that I bought last year fit me better than the same size slippers this year. It seemed that the slippers this year were slightly shorter and more narrow than last year's pair. I tried the size 7 wide, but they were short also. I bought the size 8 slippers which give my toes more room but are probably too loose in the ankle. It was disappointing to find that they did not stay true to size.

They were comfortable enough with the fleece, but the raised arch hurt my feet and the toes were a bit tight. So, I didn't want to wait to see if they would feel better in a few days of wearing them to squash the fleece down, primarily because of the raised arch area. It might not bother you. And WHY, WHY, WHY do slipper manufacturers insist on putting tags inside of the slipper where it is annoying at best. Do they ever try them on?

I have owned and loved LL Bean slippers but they stopped making my style years ago (slip on with a nice leather strip to make a bow in front). I thought I'd give this style a try since the company no longer made what I liked. These are too bulky, less feminine and my biggest complaint is the sides have no support/ structure. Also ran bigger than my previous ones- Had to return.

These slippers are very warm and look great but I took one star off for how narrow the wide widths are and for the lack of support. Width-wise they JUST fit and I think if they were even a couple millimeters narrower I would be returning. Bunion sufferers may want to pass on these slippers or look into trying on Men's sizes. Slippers are not typically known for arch support so it is not a biggie but wow I've bought $35 Minnetonka Mocs at DSW that felt more supportive. Also there is a very obnoxious tag in the inner sole that is very difficult to cut out. I also am taking another star off for making them in --Myanmar I think it was? They are straight up way too expensive for an import product. I would not begrudge LL Bean the higher price point if these slippers were still made in Maine like their bags and boots. These were a gift card purchase and I decided they are worth keeping due to their warmth but I don't think they are worth the price if I paid out of pocket for them. Also I don't plan on buying them again.

I spent $80 for these slippers expecting the classic LLBean quality & long wear. Within a few months, the sheerling inside under my foot bunched & wore bald patches on the sole. The lace on one will not stay tied at all. The outer sole is still going strong & the stitching has remained intact on the upper. They are not as warm as I expected because of the balding inner sole. I've had them now for over a year & I'm thoroughly disappointed in the lack of the sheerling inner sole material. I will have to replace with inserts. Not the LLBean of my childhood at all since outsourcing to other countries. I will not buy again. $80 is a crime for these!

I purchased these because my husband is now on his second pair of wicked good slippers and he loves them. I was very disappointed with mine. I couldn't tell which was for the left or right foot and when wearing them they feel like they are somehow just off and are not at all comfortable.

It breaks my heart to write this review. Thank be been a fan of LLBean slippers for year and these just did not hold up. In the past a pair might last 4 year is heavy use. These have worn through in one. Now I’m back in the market for another pair of quality slippers.

I am usually size 8.5 and size 8 fits me. However the front of each shoe is shaped differently, one is more narrow than the other. See photo attached.
