The leather edge on both moccasins by the ankle are too firm, not soft enough. They chafe my ankle and will cause soreness/blisters. I am size 10.5 so they are just a touch too small, but even if they were size 11 the same chafing problem would occur. I will have to return the moccasins and ask for a refund, because it's not clear the current manufacturing process for any of the moccasins in this line will fix the underlying problem. I have an older pair from 2017-2018 and the leather edges are soft and were soft from the start, so this seems to be a newer issue.

A badly worn area has developed in the heel of my left shoe. Rawhide strings continually unties and have to be knotted to remain off the ground.

This product has leather laces. They are nearly impossible to keep properly tied. The laces are long enough that, if one becomes untied and this is not noticed and immediately corrected, the dangling length of leather thong is long enough to cause a fall, especially in the elderly. Falls in the elderly can be serious and even life-threatening. My pair are pretty well worn out, and I think I am going to tie a knot in the lace of each, cut off the long lace left over such that it cannot dangle over the side of the moccasin, and apply some Gorilla Glue to the knot. I am looking for moccasins that either stay tied or use another method to secure the moccasins to the foot. The condition of my feet is such that I can never go barefoot, indoors or out.

The sides of the Mocs are not as stable as my older pair - purchased around 9 months ago.

I purchased these in black for my husband for Christmas 2019. He LOVED them. He never wears them outdoors. Puts them on first thing in the morning and in the evening till bedtime. They came untied constantly. This morning he showed me 2 areas where the seam came apart on the side of his foot. I purchased these because I wanted him to have a nice pair of slippers that lasted many years. I'm so disappointed in the poor quality, I expected these to last for years.

I purchased these slippers for my husband. When I took them out of the box, I thought there might be a problem. I noticed the tag was located in the bottom seam along the side, aiming up and was rather stiff, I didn't say anything and waited to see what he said. When he tried them on, he said he liked them except they were not comfortable, the strangely placed tag was irritating so I had to return them.

If you do not care about looks, this pair is for you. from the moment they came out of the box. The right hand moc tonque folded forward. No amount of coaxing could persuade it to stay put. Please advise!!!

The ordering process was painless, the quality of the slipper is pretty good. The size is not even close. They are described as Wide Double EE, not even close, more like a D-width. A card comes with the slippers telling you that they will stretch out in time. After a month they have stretched some, but they're still too narrow for my foot. I have to take them off after a few hours because they're too tight.
LL Bean Bring back the wide slippers.
Please keep in mind; if these do not fit, they do not credit you for the return postage.

These were a gift, and I had high hopes for their comfort and longevity (like so many items of LL Bean clothes I have owned).
However, the seam running up from the bottom of the slippers at the heel compressed the slippers' shearling lining, and the leather at the top of the slipper quickly began to rub uncomfortably on the top of my heel - now they get little, if any, wear.
Funny, my spouse has similar Bean slippers in the women's version, and they have a substantial, fluffy rim of shearling all the way around the heel. Go figure.

Not up to Beans standards of the past. They are a cheap knockoff. Worst part is they look and feel like it

Moccasins have lace ties on top (see picture). Unfortunately they do not remain tied, probably due to the material. Regardless, I have to retie them multiple times a day. Several times I have nearly fallen due to stepping on the untied laces. I have tried knotting the laces very tightly, putting water on the knot, etc. but nothing seems to work to get the laces to stay tied.

My first time ordering any kind of shoes online. For my whole life I've worn either size 10 or 11 in a 4E or 6E width. I ordered the size 10 EE, and I walk right out of them. I can put fingers behind my heels. This is why I never order shoes online. Now I have to pay to send them back. I will exchange one time, trying a smaller size, but this will be the last time. Maybe these are good slippers but sure going through a hassle to try and get the right size. At this price they should be returned for free. Won't be trying anything else from L L Bean.

After a month, the fleece is mashed down in the back of the slipper. The soles are HORRIBLE for hardwood floors. There are marks all over our floors from these soles. Looks like eraser residue. Also, the back of the slipper is very wide the toe is normal width.
Not sure I will purchase from LL Bean any longer. Very disappointed in my past few purchases.
DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Starting to wear already by heel area going up back of slipper, fit isn't very good, not what I expected for the money. Don't think they will last very long & I have only had them for 10 days. If they last 2 or 3 months I'll be surprised

Seems nicely made and is probably soft and warm, but I might never know because they slide off my heal with every step. The problem is that I'm a 10.5, so (following guidance on this site) I bought an 11. Surprise: 11 is too big for a 10.5 sized foot. I'm now deciding if it's worth the $6.50 return shipping fee and trouble of going to UPS to return this, or if I should keep it and try to put a heel insert inside to make it work. What a disappointment. I guess I should have known better than to trust a half size increase.

I ordered these slippers because I had assumed that L.L. Bean, would provide a quality product.
My slippers arrived and were sewn together in a haphazard fashion. They actually had a pronounced "twist" in the front of the left slipper. It looked as though I had two right feet, and I returned them (at a cost of 6 plus dollars) and I received a replacement.
The replacement had no sheepskin lining at the top of the back of the slipper.
As a result, the leather rubs against the back of my Achilles tendon, and makes wearing them very uncomfortable.
A complete absence of any sort of quality control.
Lesson learned.
AVOID!!

Have been purchasing these slippers for my husband for 20 years and never had an issue. These slippers were purchased as a Christmas present. Waiting for when his other pair wore out and he finally put them on last week. They are uncomfortable. He has an issue with them feeling like he has them on the wrong feet. The quality is not what he expects from LL Bean.

I have to order Men's styles because Women's do not come in wide!
Still wearing my previous pair of Men's wicked slippers I bought 2 years ago.
It's tough finding a good pair of slippers. These were backordered.
I am disappointed that the new style of slipper is not as deep as the previous.
I would order the chukka slippers, but they don't come in wide.
Going to keep looking. This will be my last wicked slippers. So sad the warmth and quality I think of with LL Bean is like everything else, gone.

Over the years, we have purchased many Bean items for Christmas gifts. The last few years,,, all items have been returned. They are just not made the same as they used to be. The quality is lacking. This year, one of the slippers hurt the gift recipients toe. Robes are not the same, either. Now, I have to wait about a month to get my money back. This is not right. I NEED my money, especially now, during the pandemic. I am just done with L.L. Bean.
