I bought my second pair of these in Janurary of this year. Here is is September and I'm looking at them again online. The lining is wearing out. I expect to get at least a year out of slippers. The first pair lasted almost two years the sole even started to wear. I my be sorry but I'll try a third pair and if I get the same wear I'll assume the material quality has really dropped and move on. Sept 2015

These slippers were great for about a year. Then they fell apart. If you want a slipper with that kind of shelf life, then these are for you.

I've been pleased with these slippers in the past. However, you've changed the soles, so they leave marks all over my waxed hardwood floors. Thus sadly I'm returning the only wide men's slippers Beans sells. My wife returned hers for the same reason.

Absolutely love these slippers and wear them daily however the inside bottom fleece always wears out far too soon which definitely affects comfort and wear ability. I have to buy two pairs each year due to this problem.

Look, as far as comfort goes, these are the best. From the soft inside to the nice sole on the bottom, these are great slippers. I love wearing them...mostly. There are two flaws in them: 1) the ties DO NOT stay tied. I had to superglue mine tied so they wouldn't come undone - no matter how I tied them, they came undone. 2) the tongue that comes up over the top of the foot will curl forward. Since I don't wear these to the store or anything, I don't care too much, but it is a bit dumb for them to do that. Lastly, on one of my shoes, you can see the soft insides is coming out one of the toe sections - this was like this when I got them. Not a big deal, but again, dumb. Still love the feel of these.

Purchased for my guy for b-day, he liked them, but the heel is too wide...it keeps slipping off of his foot. Unfortunately, these are not available in 1/2 sizes. Bummer for his b-day!!

The wool lining tends to compress up just behind the toes and the shoes are not particularly cozy without socks. I got them last winter so I hope a little wear will improve these. The build quality is not the best as far as this particular pair is concerned.

I really do like these "Wick Good" slippers. In fact I like them so much that I've even given them as gifts to family. I just wish the soles held up better. It seems like for me the life expectancy is about a year and a half or two years. As the title of states this is my third pair in about five years. I have had foot surgery which means wide sizes are a necessity and the fleece lining makes them comfortable and warm even on cold winter mornings, but I never wear them outside and the soles are either worn through or the stitching tears out eventually. I understand that "wear and tear" is inevitable and nothing lasts forever, but for the cost I would expect not to need to replace them so often. In an ideal world L.L. Bean would offer resoling like they do with their signature boots, but I guess that is too much ask even from L.L. Bean

They are very warm for winter with a bit of cushioning (I expected more cushioning). The slippers are not worth the cost if you don't have a foot for those exact sizes. Notice they are only offered in widths D and EE which means they won't work well for those of us with narrower feet. The laces don't stay tied and do not pull the width in for a tighter fit so guessing a smaller size might work, not sure. Not exactly Wicked Good when you have to guess your size/width to make them fit.

The poofy wool insole initially crowds the foot. As it compacts over time, the wool bunches up under the toes. This makes standing and walking for any significant length of time painful. While I like the versatile outer sole (fine for around the house as well as for an occasional trip to the mailbox), the unruly insole has become intolerable. The sole and upper are still in good condition, but the insole is a fatal flaw.

Narrative states if wear half size, order next size up. We disagree. It's our opinion that the slippers run large. My husband was gripping the slippers with his toes in order to not walk out of them and the wickedly good shearing began to bunch under his toes creating a obstacle to overcome while wearing. We believe order half size down (if you can). We are returning the slippers. We still love LL Bean.

I bought these in chocolate brown in size 14, which my husband usually wears. He said they seem to run large and wide. He can adjust the fit by the tie a little, but not as much as he would like. I bought him a pair of these over 15 years ago, the ones with the soft sole, and the quality was superb! The inner fleece lining was super plush and soft. It seems like the current pair I bought him is not made as well. The only thing my husband likes is the rubber sole.

This is my third pair of men's wicked good slippers. The first was excellent and I enjoyed them for several years. The second pair developed a hole in the side after about six months of use. I called Bean to report the defect and was sent a replacement pair which I am now wearing. Now, though, the stitching on the left slipper is coming undone beginning at the heel stitching and continuing along the side. The fleece lining has worn away in the heel area of both slippers. They frequently come untied. And the non-slip soles (which is normally a plus) tend to catch on my carpet and throw me off balance. I've almost fallen several times. I have to be very careful. Bean is a great company with an admirable tradition of quality and value. I hope my experience is an oddity and not a trend.

I bought a pair of these two years ago for use as slippers and only during the winter. The lining quickly came out at the heel and ball of the foot, so I returned them in exchange for a new pair. The second pair was better but the lining eventually wore out and now the right slipper has a hole in front of the great toe. The fit seemed right and the slippers were very comfortable, but I am disappointed in the poor wear factor. I'm going to try the buffalo shearling lined, hand sewn, double sole slippers next as they received better reviews and few if any complaints about wear. While I would expect such slippers to wear after two years of continuous use, having them wear so badly after only cold weather use is just not acceptable.

I have had three pairs of these mocs over the last few years and I have Loved them. This last pair was NOT up to LL Bean's quality. The flees is easy to mat up and the size...I wear a 9 size shoe and the mocs have been pretty close to size but these are about TWO sizes too big. I love the mocs and would recommend them to friends but tell them to get much smaller sizing

I live in Alaska and wear these slippers daily. I have found them them to be comfortable and warm. I am on my fourth pair and will continue to wear them. My only complaint (has happened four times now) is that the lining compresses and wears out within a year, long before the rest of the slipper is showing any wear.

i have had these for about a week now and they are worm and very soft i love the feel of them but two things bug me... the tie wont stay tied i have to redo the tie about 2 Xs a day and the heel is to low i would add maybe an 1/2 inch to the hight on the back because when i walk its so low they feel like there going to come off other then that they are good.

I had high expectations for these moccasins when I asked for them for Christmas. However, there's one thing right now that bugs me. The bottom lining bunches up behind my toes. I keep taking them off trying to flatten the bottom with no luck. Other than this issue, I really like the slipper. Not sure if the bottom will eventually flatten out or not. It's only been 4 days now.

I love the fit of these slippers. But what I hate about them, is the fact that the laces WILL NOT stay tied. I have tried tying them in double knots. Didn't help. Will still come untied. The fact that laces come untied makes me not want to buy them again. I would absolutely buy them again if LLBean would make a version without laces.

I have a pair of old "wicked good slippers" purchased many years ago and need replacing with a new pair. The new pair in 'Wide' was too narrow and had to be returned. Very disappointed and this WAS my favorite house slipper.

It's obvious that these slippers are of top-notch quality, and they feel wonderful on your feet. The thing I didn't like about them was the low rise in the back--every time I took a step the slippers felt like they were slipping off (pun intended). A great product, but not for me.

I love these slippers. The backs don't break down like the older model. My only complaint is that the left slipper split 3 inches on the inside behind the arch to the heel. Disappointed, but still wearing them. Actually, I was pretty surprised cause they are pretty new.

I purchased these for my son 11 months ago and he only just started wearing them recently as the weather was getting colder here. He really liked the slippers until the suede on the side tore apart. The slippers were only worn around the house. Very disappointed in the quality.
