These slippers started out great but after a few weeks of wearing them quite a bit, the bottom lining began to thin out so much that they lost their appeal as a warm and cuddley slipper. I returned them after about two months for a full refund which says a lot about LL Beans lifetime guarantee. I would still recommend them for a person who doesn't wear them all the time like I did. Good luck!

I bought these slippers for my boyfriend for christmas. The slippers are very comfortable but after 3 months of normal indoor use, the stitching at the heel has come undone. I have returned for an exchange of same item--hoping this does not happen with the new pair! Customer service was very polite and helpful as usual.

The cut quality was not up to LL Bean standard compared to the great slippers I have purchased every year for the last few years. The last is different and the sole is too, and neither is as comfortable as previous versions. These just didn't make the grade for me and I returned them promptly. Return and refunds were done promptly. I will hope for a return of the old style.

I've purchased several pairs over the years and they've all been very comfortable - until this latest pair. I'm a size 10 1/2 and they only had full sizes so I went with an 11. They fit very snug and I can only wear them barefoot - no socks. I would return them but 1) I'm afraid a 12 would be too big and 2) I don't want to be without slippers for the extended time it would take to send them back and wait for a new pair

All my shoes are 9 1/2. I ordered size 10 per guidance (half sizes order up). I found the slippers would not stay on my feet. Returned for size 9. Still had the problem of the slippers feeling like they would fall off my feet, I tighten the rawhide laces and that problem is solved, But putting the slippers on requires I take time to "pull" the slipper on, to get the lace over the heel. IMO the slipper is too low in the heel causing this issue. I kept them as they were a gift. They are warm and you won't slip walking outside a minute or so.

Back when these were still made in the USA, they were the best slippers I have ever owned. Since those days, they have gotten progressively worse with each new iteration and change of vendor. The shearling has worn right through on the footbed of each of the last two pair I have purchased. This usually happens within 6-8 months, which makes it difficult to justify the cost. I just purchased this new version II. We'll see how long they last. If they're like my last pair, this will be the last time I purchase these. Unfortunately, this is becoming more and more common with LL Bean products as they make less and less in the US and import more inferior goods from China.

The medium width wicked good moccasins I ordered are VERY narrow. I have always been able to wear medium width shoes with no problem, but these are extremely tight. Not sure if I want to go through the hassle of returning them or just hope they will stretch out eventually.

Used to be much better quality. Not as plush inside like they used to be.

These are very comfortable and I love the look. One shoe had more shearing than the other which was a little annoying initially but they have broken in well.
Unfortunately, the stitching at the top of the right shoe (not very visible in photos) has come undone. It seems like it's not really stitched... more like thread has been inserted in holes only on the exterior, and has popped out. This is really disappointing because it looks quite ugly hanging out.

The Leons would not be pleased perhaps Shawn should revisit what made so many of us loyal customers in the first place.
Alas like so many of their label products the Wicked Good Mocs are no longer even close to the quality or comfort they used to be. It seems that as Beans has expanded opening outlets and retail locations they have shifted the focus from quality to quantity. Perhaps they have realized that consumers are satisfied with throwing away a product after it falls apart rather than demand that they last. Even my beloved Maine Hunting Boots which have been repaired so many times in 20yrs that there is none of the original boot left feel less substantial than in the past.

I have worn Wicked Good slippers for 20 years. Just ordered a new pair to replace the pair I've worn for 4 years now, which had a total blow-out. I was told years ago to always order men's slippers in my usual women's size, since the women's slippers ran small (size 11).
I walked out of them immediately. The slipper is
the same length but the sheepskin lining is about half as thick, which makes them less cozy and also changes the fit.
Had to return them. Not sure what to do now, I can't continue ordering slippers that I have to pay $8 to return! So disappointed.

I purchased my first pair of these slippers in August of 2016 and had to send them back for a replacement pair two months later as the sheep lining had completely worn away at the heel. Two months later, I had to send the replacement pair back for the same reason.
In mid-September 2017 the entire heel region in the right slipper has no lining left and there is a quarter sized area in the left slipper at the mid-foot with no lining and both slippers have various sections where the lining has completely worn away. I understand that matting down with sheepskin is expected, but that is not what has happened in these areas.
This is a shame as I absolutely loved the slippers at first. If they would have held up I would have given 5 stars but for the price, they should last longer than a few months - even with heavy use.
As the title says - great at first but do not hold up.

My husband loved his first pair of wicked good slippers, so when they wore out I ordered another pair like them. Only this pair rubbed a blister on the top of his foot. The laces were very close to the inside of the shoe and hard. He has very little feeling in his feet so didn't know this was happening until it was a pretty bad sore. We tried taking the laces out but they still rubbed. I'm very disappointed with this pair. He wore them long enough that I don't feel right sending them back but I won't be buying any more.

One of the main reasons I buy from LL Bean is value. I just got these moccasins and it is much too soon to rate them. They feel good. They are warm and they fit. I will rate them highly if they hold up over time. Check back with me in a a year or two.

Comfortable for about 9 months under regular use. Like many others, my disappointment is only that the shearling lining wears out more quickly than I would expect, making routine replacement expensive. In my case, I wear the mocs most every day for about 2-4 hours. Indoor use 98% of the time. The lining did bunch under the toes for the first couple of months, but then 'settled down'. The lining was basically gone on the soles within about 12 months. Also the flap by the laces rolls outward on this pair (not a problem with my first purchase). Will buy my third pair, but I will be looking for a cheaper replacement since these wear out annually. THANK YOU LL BEAN FOR THE SEAMAN'S SHOELACE [KNOT] VIDEO. I wear an 8.5 (Avrg width) and buy a size 9 moc, which fits well. Soles and outer shell hold up very well. Photo at ~12 months.

The wording in description "imported (fur from Australia)" is misleading. I try very hard to search and find out things I buy are made in America. I thought for sure a product from LL Bean would be made in the USA. I thought this meant only the fur was imported. I passed up several other similar slippers, which were a lot cheaper, to buy these instead, thinking they were made in the USA.....imagine my disgust when I opened them and saw the tag in the slipper that said "made in China"....I am VERY disappointed. I only hope these hold up and I am still wearing them a year from now.

When I opened the box I'll will admit that I was impressed buy the look of these slippers. In my opinion they were visually significantly more impressive than the photo.
I will also concede that the sole seemed to have decent traction for a slipper and the footbed was decently padded under the Shearling which was nice. But for me the problem was the fit and lack of structure. Now I have a wide foot and the slipper was tight about the forefoot and small toes. The back of this slipper is made to accommodate a very wide heal heal which I don't have. Although I was able to tighten the heal significantly with the laces. In my opinion the Sheepskin is two thin which on the upside gives this slipper a very soft feel, but the downside is a real lack of structure and my wide flat feet which tend to over-pronate was pronating big time, and between .I think if thicker materials would have given this slipper more structure.
I think for a man with a different foot structure these slippers might be great. Unfortunately for me the fit and lack of structure of these slippers were a dissapointment and have been returned.

I bought my second pair of these in Janurary of this year. Here is is September and I'm looking at them again online. The lining is wearing out. I expect to get at least a year out of slippers.
The first pair lasted almost two years the sole even started to wear.
I my be sorry but I'll try a third pair and if I get the same wear I'll assume the material quality has really dropped and move on.

These slippers were great for about a year. Then they fell apart. If you want a slipper with that kind of shelf life, then these are for you.

I've been pleased with these slippers in the past. However, you've changed the soles, so they leave marks all over my waxed hardwood floors. Thus sadly I'm returning the only wide men's slippers Beans sells. My wife returned hers for the same reason.

Absolutely love these slippers and wear them daily however the inside bottom fleece always wears out far too soon which definitely affects comfort and wear ability. I have to buy two pairs each year due to this problem.

Look, as far as comfort goes, these are the best. From the soft inside to the nice sole on the bottom, these are great slippers. I love wearing them...mostly. There are two flaws in them: 1) the ties DO NOT stay tied. I had to superglue mine tied so they wouldn't come undone - no matter how I tied them, they came undone. 2) the tongue that comes up over the top of the foot will curl forward. Since I don't wear these to the store or anything, I don't care too much, but it is a bit dumb for them to do that. Lastly, on one of my shoes, you can see the soft insides is coming out one of the toe sections - this was like this when I got them. Not a big deal, but again, dumb. Still love the feel of these.

Purchased for my guy for b-day, he liked them, but the heel is too wide...it keeps slipping off of his foot. Unfortunately, these are not available in 1/2 sizes. Bummer for his b-day!!

The wool lining tends to compress up just behind the toes and the shoes are not particularly cozy without socks. I got them last winter so I hope a little wear will improve these. The build quality is not the best as far as this particular pair is concerned.

I really do like these "Wick Good" slippers. In fact I like them so much that I've even given them as gifts to family. I just wish the soles held up better. It seems like for me the life expectancy is about a year and a half or two years. As the title of states this is my third pair in about five years.
I have had foot surgery which means wide sizes are a necessity and the fleece lining makes them comfortable and warm even on cold winter mornings, but I never wear them outside and the soles are either worn through or the stitching tears out eventually.
I understand that "wear and tear" is inevitable and nothing lasts forever, but for the cost I would expect not to need to replace them so often. In an ideal world L.L. Bean would offer resoling like they do with their signature boots, but I guess that is too much ask even from L.L. Bean
