In my 55+ years I have gone barefoot in the house. But since getting RA plus type II Diabetes a few years ago my feet have been troublesome to say the least. My doctor suggested that I always wear something on my feet.
With these problems has come finding shoes that fit and are comfortable. The only shoe I have found that I can wear are Merrell Jungle Mocs in 13W.
After tons of research and trying a pair of cheap slippers just to see if I could get used to wearing something in the house, I finally decided to try a pair of these mocs in 13W. The deciding factor was that they were available in a wide width.
I've had them now for 7 months - a good enough amount of time for a quality review. Since I am stuck home now I wear them all day every day. Fantastic! They are so comfortable I just can't believe it. The few times a month I go to town I can't wait to get home to put my mocs back on.
These are more than worth the price to me for comfortable feet. And after 7 months of constant use they show no wear whatsoever. And the soles are stiff enough to walk on my gravel driveway plus are not slippery on hard wood floors.
I am thinking of buying a backup pair like I do with things that work so well for me. Knowing my luck, by the time I wear these out they will be discontinued or something.

My wife bought these Moccasins over 5 years ago for Christmas. I have worn them every day. My wife later bought two other Moccasins that didn't last for 3 months; when the soles split. I went back to my closet and took the LL Beam Moccasins. I saddle soaped the leather and an still wearing them. To date LL Bean makes the best Moccasins I ever owned. By the way the soles are almost indestructible. If you own a pair you know what I mean.
LLBean keep up quality in your products and you will always have my business!

Bought these (not camo print, but brown) this winter for the advertised comfort and warmth, in that priority order. Was surprised at just how comfortable these are! Extremely! I loved wearing them on the cold winter days and nights around the house, and occasionally to take out the garbage. And, yes, the warmth is there, too.

Although they seem pricey, these are really the best mocs that I've found and last so long that they are worth every cent. I've been wearing slippers/mocs like this for so long now that I don't remember how I got my first pair. I think they were a gift. It doesn't take long before you don't want anything else on your feet. LLBean is one of the first, and the few that carries them in wide-sizes. I used to bust through the sides in a year or two, but now I get well over five years of constant use out of them.
That being said, I agree with all the complaints about the laces. Here is the secret: They are just decoration, a style-item. It is what makes them a moccasin instead of just a slipper. Take a look at the "Venetian" for a version without the laces. Traditional Indian moccasins don't have a seam/channel at the ankle which is why the lace is woven through holes as it goes around the ankle. It seems that every manufacturer wants to stick with the "authentic" look and uses rawhide for the laces. They are too stretchy and by weaving them in and out of the ankle seam, there is just too much friction to be effective. So what is the solution?
Replace it with a real shoelace! Somewhere early on, I bought a pair that used simple tan round shoe-laces like you might find on a pair of dress shoes. Whenever I buy a new pair I just remove the tan laces from the old pair and replace the rawhide laces. Just skip the extra little holes used to make rawhide look authentic. Once you do this, it will behave like a drawstring allowing you to loosen or tighten it around your ankle. And the best part is it stays tied like any good shoelace would.
I'll be the first to admit that it can be a little frustrating trying to fish the lace through the ankle seam. There are a variety of way to do it so you may need to get creative. I used an extra-long plastic ratcheting-type cable tie. It is strong, flexible, and thin enough that you can push it through that channel. Attach the lace to the end with thread or wire and pull it back out pulling the lace with it. There are also special leaders you can buy for this purpose in the sewing stores.

After asking my husband about his pair of wicked good moccasin slippers...how the shearling lining doesn't make your feet sweat, and more. I got the hint and ordered my dear neighbor a pair for his birthday and he's absolutely thrilled with the comfort. Sent me a pic just now which I wish I could share wearing them. Touch someone's heart and give a pair away. They will think of you everyday.

When my wife asked me over the years if I wanted slippers, I always said "No, I don't wear slippers" ...until she bought these for me. I can't wait to put them on when I get home. Feet don't sweat in them, very comfortable with a sturdy sole. I should've listened sooner, but don't tell her that.

Livng on the coast of Sotheastern NC, a concern was that I would find these slippers to hot for our winter climate. Not so at all. They have been extremely comfortable whereas others I have owned got real very hot and sweaty.
I also wear a size 8 1/2 4E or 8 6E New Balance walking shoe and when consulting with the sales rep at LL Bean he recommended buying the shoes from another vendor because those offered by LL Bean may be too narrow. I , however, chose to purchase a size 9 EE and they fit perfectly.
I look forward to waering my slippers when I get home at night and find them to be real foot candy. I love the slippers.

I've worn these slippers everyday during the cold months for 3 years and they are just now worn out. I wear them inside and outside to walk the dog, feed the chickens and get the mail, so they have seen the same use as my regular shoes. Price is a tad high, but then you could buy a new cheap pair every year as I was doing before I got these. Warmest that I've found.

I think this is the first product review I've ever written online. My father bought me a pair of this slipper (or its predecessor) when I was getting ready to go away to college in upstate New York. That was over 10 years ago. Today, after over a decade of wear I finally blew out the seams on the side of one of the slippers. 10+ years of frequent wear (even occasionally outdoors) is strong work in my book. I'll be buying a new pair of slippers from LL Bean in the hopes that they last as long as this first pair did.

After our puppy demolished my older pair of these slippers and then an even older pair I found hidden away, I ordered these in Brown color. They fit more comfortably that either older pair. Something about the way this new design snugs around your foot better. Nice and warm and handy as always for going out in damp weather. This is probably my 5th or 6th pair over 50 years.
Needless to say, I'll be more careful than with the previous pairs-which needed to be replaced. So the puppy did my feet a favor.

I bought my husband a pair of these moccasins for Christmas and they've been a huge hit. I was inspired to purchase them after visiting my parents in Maine and seeing my dad's own well-worn pair of Wicked Good Moccasins. As a New Englander and a life long L.L. Bean customer I'm very familiar with their high quality goods and equally high customer service. It was time to introduce my midwestern husband to the wonder that is L.L. Bean. I was not let down and my husband is very pleased with his new moccasins.
He enjoyed the following aspects of the slipper:
The soul is rugged and sewn onto the shoe rather than glued. There is decent traction and grip considering they are slippers.
The sheepskin lining is incredibly comfortable.
The shoe as a whole is well made.
The color of the moccasin is true to the color choice on the website.
He is such a fan of them that we have already purchased another pair as a gift for my father in law.
A note on the size of the shoe. My husband typically wears an 11.5 or 12 in street shoes. I was worried about getting the 11EE because the website recommends ordering up if you're in need of a half size. The 11EE fits perfectly and if anything gives him more room than he needs when barefoot.

My husband had these slippers for five years. He loved them. Then our 3-year old puked on them. He was very sad. So I am buying him new ones.
So these slippers are awesome. But you cannot easily remove puke from them.

I have been wearing moccasins for at least 25 years now. I was given a pair for Christmas and got hooked. Those slippers lasted for about 4 years before I threw them away. I was given another brand and went through a period where I realized that not all moccasins are the same. Don't waste your money trying anything else. These are the most comfortable and will keep your feet cozy and warm all winter long.

I've had a pair of Wicked Good Moccasins in my closet for years and am now on my fourth pair. In high school I wore them to school regularly and also out and around, and I virtually lived in them during college, as did a number of my friends. I've worn them in all kinds of weather, including deep snow (not intentionally) and they were my primary footwear during a post-graduation trip to Europe. They stood up very well to everything.
This pair is my first since the product was redesigned, and I'm glad to see that they're both sturdier than the old model and just as comfortable as ever. They're my primary weekend footwear most of the time, and if I could wear them to work I definitely would.

I CHOSE THE MEN'S SLIPPERS BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE WIDER WIDTH THAN THE WOMEN'S IN THE SAME STYLE. I LOVE THESE, THEY ARE SO WARM AND SOFT ON YOUR FEET. I WEAR THEM ALL THE TIME, EVEN OUTSIDE TO THE MAILBOX, DUE TO THE RUBBER SOLES. THIS IS MY SECOND PAIR. JUST WISHED L L BEAN CARRIED MORE COLORS IN THE MEN'S, OR WIDER WIDTHS IN WOMENS. I HAVE ENJOYED SEVERAL OTHER STYLES OF SLIPPERS.

These are the only slippers I wear. I've had my current pair for over 4 years and wear them daily. They do have a tendency to stink a little, but not enough to replace them. The laces will come untied regularly, but I just noticed the video of a better way to tie them. Hopefully, that will solve that problem.
