First test was climbing on the roof to clear solar panels after a storm with a quarter inch of ice and 5 inches of snow on top. Boots have good grip, are light compared to others and kept my feet toasty all day in sub freezing temps. Good product.

I've had these boots for about a year, and they served me well last winter. The site says to order half sizes up, but I found that the boot runs pretty long overall. Understand that they're designed to accommodate a thick sock, but even when I wore a big wool sock, I found that the fit was still a bit loose. I normally wear a 13, and have done so since high school (in my 40s now). The last pairs of sneakers and dress shoes I purchased were 13 and fit me fine. If you're on the fence about what size to order, I'd suggest ordering down a size. In hindsight, a 12 probably would have been better for me. All of that said, I have a fairly thin frame, and my foot is pretty narrow. If you have a wider foot, than this boot may fit more true to size.

I really like these boots however there are a few things either did not know or consider when reading other reviews. I wear a mens size 10. If I had to do it again, I would order a 10 1/2 just because the ankle is slightly tight. Also, the liner is removable which I did not know and it tends to come out if I am not careful. A half size up would have eliminated this small issue. Also, it is not to cold yet but I question as to if these boots will keep my feet as warm as stated down to the coldest weather they state. With that being said, they are almost broken in and comfortable except some tightness but I am adjusting to them. They have a nice look to them and as with my other pair of Bean boots (different and no liner) they are sturdy. I strongly recommend them. It doesn't matter to me, but I have received compliments on the look of these boots.

So far so good... Out in the cold snow blowing, they kept my feet warm and dry. I ordered +1 size and they fit well, with some room for extra socks. I will have to wait until next year's football season to see if they perform well at a Bill's game...

once you get them on, they are fine, however getting them on is impossible unless you un lace them

My husband really liked these boots BUT found that the bottom of the boot (for him) was just too flat and the tread is just not rugged enough for snow, so back they went.

I really wanted to like these boots. After looking at several boots, I decided on men's boots for myself (heck my feet aren't discriminating). The first pair had an obvious defect - a bump that rubbed against my foot. LL Bean was *extremely* accommodating, ensuring that a new pair would be sent right away. The new pair didn't have any defect, but bothered me in the same area of my foot. So, I'm guessing that my foot is just not right for this boot. Strange...

Felt more like a size 12, not a 13. Really wish there was a wide width option also.

These boots look great but LL Bean sizing chart is way off & they are also took creative license with the phrase EASY ON/OFF.
I ordered one size up and had to use a boot puller to get them on and do a lot of unlacing to get them off. If they came with all the large tri-angular lace loops like the lower 3 or 4 maybe it would be easy. They make a pair of ladies boots with all that type of lacing system.
Back to sizing I would have to order 2 sizes up but the boots would be so big they would be unwieldy and look ridiculous, so back they go.
If you find a size that fits correctly - they look like they would be fine.

I wish they told you that the boots have inserts. This is what I wanted to avoid. The inserts come out every time you take the boots off. It's a real pain to get the inserts back in the boots

I can't believe these boots made it through product development. I have average-width feet, and these were too narrow to fit my--or most men's--feet. And if you want to wear them with winter socks--forget about it!

I bought these boots for Fall and spring in the Pacific Northwest. They lasted 3 weeks before the metal eyelets started popping out. I could not lace them making them worthless. They were cheep made in China junk and they cost like they are quality boots. Don't buy them, cheep junk.
