Before the winter season started I purchased these boots for my husband. Since he does most of the snow removal we figured these would be great. We were right. He loves them. They keep out the water, keep his feet warm and are very comfortable. He loved them so much that we bought them for my father for his birthday a few weeks ago.

Bought these for my husband who has a hard time finding boots that fit. The fit is true to size and width, 13M, and warm.

I was told these ran big so ordered the size below. Had to send back to get my actual size. Other than that, love these boots!

Received boots about three weeks ago after hesitating for over a year and a big price increase. When the boots went on sale I decided it was time to buy. Opened the box and tried them on within ten minutes of delivery. Nuts, couldn't even get my feet past the tongue with no laces. Going to have to send them back, even though I ordered one size larger than I usually wear because of a big weight gain. Decided to let them sit overnight and try again. No problem next morning, the fit was perfect. Guess they were in the UPS truck too long and and being new, they were just stiff from the cold weather ride here in Michigan, they just had to warm up. So this past week, with over a foot of snow and two large driveways to clear by hand, I had the chance to try them out big time. All I can say is, why did I wait so long to get a real good pair of warm waterproof boots. No more orange socks from non waterproof all leather insulated boots that are waterproofed by hand every year. Only problem I had was self induced. Only wore a pair of low cut socks instead of a taller pair. Walking around for five hours, the new stiff leather tongue took a bunch of skin off one leg from the constant rubbing, lesson learned. Next big test will be the spring cold water/ weather boat fishing to see how warm my feet stay. I have no doubt they will be toasty.

These boots are great for the outdoors in all weather, but especially wet weather. They keep your feet dry and warm. They help prevent slipping or falling on slick surfaces. We have bought these boots for over 30 years. They have many styles to choose from.

It's a great product that has maintained it's high standards of quality over the years. These days so many products have become foreign made imitations of what they used to be but not these boots. The fit and finish are outstanding, they're are comfortable and warm. I expect them to last for many, many New England winters, just like my last pair which finally got lost during a large renovation project.

They run, as advised ny LL Bean, small. Were told to order a size down- and they were correct. The boots are of the quality that we have come to expect from LL Bean. Fabulous customer service.

Bought these fine boots to replace the ones my wife gave me way back in the 70's. Have enjoyed the old boots for decades and finally wore a hole the sole. Although there is no leak in the old ones, the new pair was a must as these have become a part of my life. I use them for wet and snowy weather as well as to wash the cars. I was so pleased that the new boots are identical to ones I've worn and enjoyed for so many years.

Bought them for my 15 year old son. I was hesitant to buy because of the price and almost bought the ones with out the Gortex. I am glad I didn't! He says they kept his feet warm and dry after walking out the front door into 5 inches of new snow this morning!

I have wanted a pair of these boots for years. Going back to the days where you draw the outline of your foot and LLB would custom make them for you. I just didn't want to pay that much for a pair a boots that I'd only wear a few times a year. After going through SEVERAL pairs of cheap duck boots, I decided that it was time to get the Original Duck Boot. I wish I'd have bought them years ago. GREAT FOOTWEAR!.

I bought this boot for my 22 year old son. He LOVES the look, fit and style and they have kept his feet warm and dry. He wears a 9 1/2 W and the 9 M fit him well. It is definitely a full fitting boot. He would recommend it highly.

These boots are the best winter boots I have ever owned. During the last snowstorm they kept my feet warm and dry through hours of shoveling and snow throwing. I wear them when taking my dog for walks in the woods and the are very comfortable, warm, and dry. I will say that you have to pay attention and believe the sizing information on the web site. I normally wear an 11B boot and I always wear medium weight socks. According to the sizing information I should have purchased a 10B boot. Of course I knew better and said that I will purchase the 11B. I was wrong. They do run bigger just like the web page explained. Fortunately LL Bean is the best company around to process returns. I returned the boots and had my new 10Bs 2 days later. Great boots great customer service.

These were a gift for my son. He loves everything about them and could not be happier. He's 14 so that says it all.

These boots are great. The fit is awesome and the look is even better. I would recommend sizing down for fit and be cautious about the width because these seem to run very narrow. the wide version fit me perfectly

I had been thinking about getting these for a long time and finally purchased them when they went on sale (a rare occurrence). I should have gotten them a long time ago. Reasonably priced, very well made, well designed, warm, and dry. Enough said. Got them in the mail about 2 days before a blizzard rolled through town and scooped snow in them all morning and afternoon. Feet were dry and warm the whole time. Love the classic look, of course.

My husband returned the LL Bean made in Maine 7" lounger boot, in exchange for these. These are fantastic boots, a great fit, warm, and waterproof. We spent a couple days at the coast, and a wave caught him off guard. The tongue on this boot is one large piece of leather connecting the threading holes, ensuring a watertight fit. (as opposed to a tongue shaped like a tongue) Now we're back home in snow country and these boots continue to be his footwear of choice. He is totally delighted with these boots, and would recommend them. We wanted a boot made in Maine USA. The lounger boot was wide at the top, making it difficult for jeans to fit over their tops. Glad we made the exchange to get what we wanted.

These were a hit from the moment they arrived as a gift. He immediately put them on and continued to watch his soccer match with his boots laced up. He wore them for errands just because he found them comfortable... and when the temperature dipped, he was happy to realize how warm they actually kept his feet. He's really hard to shop for, and I am thrilled to have finally found a gift that he isn't making me return! They are absolutely the best boots he ever had. We ordered his normal size; yes, it's big, but he likes it with plenty of wiggle space.

I have wanted a of Bean Boots for a very long time, and finally purchased a pair of the 8" Thinsulate/Gore-Tex lined model in late October 2012. I also purchased a pair of the shearling insole liners and my feet are toasty and dry no matter how cold, wet or wintry the weather gets. As with everything I have purchased from LL Bean, these boots are of the highest quality and perform precisely as promised.

I have been wanting a pair of these boots for quite a while (like 2 years) and I finally purchased a pair. I went with this version for the added warmth and moisture barrier thanks to the Thinsulate/Gore-tex. I am thoroughly satisfied with these boots. My feet have stayed warm and dry in various conditions and the boots are extremely comfortable. I returned the first pair sent to me because I thought there was a manufacturing defect (the right boot had an uncomfortable ridge inside when tied) and Bean's excellent return policy had another pair to me in no time. The second pair is perfect. The boots look great and are very, very pragmatic. I am sure that they will keep my feet nice when I am out on the river chasing Bass and Walleye all winter long here in central PA. Thanks Bean. These are great with their Cresta-Wool socks. One more thing...the laces don't seem all that great of quality, but that's an easy fix.

I ordered these to use for snow shoeing because of the goretex and thinsulate finish. Since snow has yet to fall, I used the boots in mud and rain in slightly below freezing weather. They seem to provide good grip and proper insulation from the elements , although as you cross a cold stream you can feel the cold through the rubber. I will provide additional details after winter testing.

I purchased these shoes for a special trip. I was invited to go whale watching in Fundy Bay off New Brunswick, Canada on a commercial fishing boat. I have never been there before. But, I was "encouraged" to come prepared for wet, cold weather. I immediately thought of LLB. It worked perfectly. I was in the cold driving rain at times, but I was warm and dry. The shoes fit comfortably the first time and remain so. They look new after 2 weeks of wear! Am I satisifed? You bet! If you need to be warm and dry, this is a great choice!

28.08.2012 Today I got these shoes. I like them very much. They are very comfortable, durable and warm. Qualitatively made. I was struck by their weight, they are very light, I thought they were a lot harder. For Moscow and in Russia as a whole, they are very suitable, we often the rain and snow. I have been thinking how do I choose the right size and suitable to me. After all, in Moscow this brand is not for sale. My Red Wing size 10,5 US, Sperry 11,5 US, Danner 11US, I chose size 10US, boots arrived fine with thick socks in them to be comfortable. I am very pleased with my purchase, I will advise all my friends to buy this shoes. Quality and practical shoes, fast delivery to Moscow for 22 days. I hope you enjoyed my review! I've been using these for years. This is just my 2nd pair of boots that I have purchased from LLBean in over 10 years! These are very durable and you can feel sticks under foot much more easily than a heavier boot. I would definitely recommend these boots for hunting and everyday use.

I bought a pair of boots for my husband, they were great. His feet stayed warm and dry, even in deep and slushy snow. The supportive steel shank was an excellent feature, assuring that his feet did not hurt while wearing the boots. He had the boots for 4 years, they still looked new. Nothing seemed to daunt these boots, mud, ice, slushy snow....until the day that they met-up with our new puppy. The puppy laid low what nature at its worse could not conquer. Puppy chewed a big hole in the side of the boot and ate the interior quilted sock-like feature in the boors. Unfortunately, the superior Bean guarantee does not cover puppy damage. But, I have just ordered a new pair for the following winter. I can wholeheartedly recommend these boots, unless they encounter a puppy, you will have them forever.

These are the only cold weather boots my family buys. The most recent purchase was for my son. The boots are wonderful, that is always constant with LL Bean. What I was impressed with was that the order was processed and shipped within 24 hours of me placing the order!
