Many referrals for these led to my purchase. My only issue was not believing the recommendation to downsize so I ordered a ten instead of my regular 10.5 ( I know they don't have 1/2 sizes). When they arrived they were much too large but customer service was very easy to deal with and I opted to purchase the size 9 while returning mine. They are surprisingly a perfect fit! I've worn them nearly every day and find them very comfortable. I would highly recommend them

Great boot, very comfortable. Ordered a size down from normal, as suggested, and they fit perfectly. I have wide feet, and the wide i ordered is fine.

The Original is an Original for a reason. Although there are many varieties of L.L. Bean boots, from low moccasins to almost knee high boots, these 6" classic boots are your all around get er done utility boots that are easy on and off, yet provide plenty of protection from wet cold muddy surroundings most of the time in the most situations. If you were going to have only one pair of L.L. Bean boots, this would be the pair. And it's a pair at a fair price. When you open the box, you can just tell that there's a Maine Craftsperson, a fine woman or man that made these boots here in the United States so that you could wear them. No finer reason to Buy American is to buy these boots.

These boots worked amazingly in a bit-warm snowshoeing day in Pacific Northwest. I had to wear two medium weight wool socks to avoid cold feet though. At the end of the day I saw others having wet boots, but mines were dry inside and outside.

Well made boots. True to size. I put some inserts in to give more support. Should last many years.

Great boot! Last a long time and never get wet feet! Normally wear a 12 but got these in an 11 because they run bigger.

They will be great for wet weather use. I find them a bit stiff so far, but haven't worn them enough to be broken in.

My son who is 13 years old loves the color and how warm and cozy they feel. The size is right for him.

My husband loved the boot top size 6 inch and the duck boot in general but the foot sizing is tricky. The LL Bean duck boots are such quality. He's tried the size 11 seemed too small and the size 12 was too big. Both had to be returned. Maybe we will reorder the size 11 in the 6 inch as we only tried it in the 9 inch previously.

I've been wearing my dad's Bean Boots that he bought in 1969. He finally gave them to me a few years back after decades of winter wear. They're not worn out, he just bought EE to accommodate more socks and I don't need two heavy pairs of socks during southern winters. Same boot a little narrower.

So far so good. Good fit Hope the leather holds up.

Make sure to follow the size guide! I have a wide foot and still ordered the regular. They're perfect!

Once you have LL Bean boots you'll never go back to another type. Comfort, staying dry, warm, it's like wearing tennis/gym shoes.

By a size down at least, I am a 10 usually, got an 8.

I've owned a few pair over the years, so fit is no surprise. First timers, listen to reviews about sizing. It's almost hard to believe, but they're true. I normally wear an 11 1/2 or 12 in most sneakers and hiking boots... depends on brand. I purchased a Thinsulated 10" pair of Beans in size 11m. They fit great with almost any sock, from light to heavy. Fit varies a little, of course. Now, in this non-insulated version... A 10m fits perfectly with a midweight hiking sock. Yes, that's correct a 10. Hard to believe, but trust the reviewers recommendations. As far as the boots go, they are a must have in the stable for me. If you've always wanted these, you should definitely get them. Too many good uses to mention, and a true classic. My most recent pair, are truly a handcrafted work of art like the others. I have seen no drop-off in quality whatsoever. I hope you enjoy yours.

It is important to order the right size as the directions explain how to. These are nice boots.
